Aim & Scope
Journal of Islamic Educational Research is a scientific journal that publishes research articles, reviews, and conceptual papers related to the study and development of Islamic education. This journal serves as a platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to exchange ideas, findings, and innovations that contribute to the progress of Islamic educational theory and practice in various contexts—formal, non-formal, and informal. 1. Philosophy and Thought of Islamic Education This scope includes studies related to the foundations, philosophy, and paradigms of Islamic education. It also covers classical and contemporary Islamic educational thought and comparative analysis between Islamic and modern educational concepts. 2. Curriculum and Learning in Islamic Education This scope focuses on curriculum design, instructional innovation, learning media, and evaluation systems based on Islamic values. It also explores integration between Islamic education and modern pedagogical approaches. 3. Management and Policy of Islamic Education This scope discusses leadership, governance, quality assurance, and institutional management in Islamic educational institutions such as madrasah, pesantren, and Islamic higher education. It also includes the formulation and implementation of Islamic education policy. 4. Qur’an and Hadith-Based Education This scope explores the educational values derived from the Qur’an and Hadith, the concept of tarbiyah nabawiyyah (prophetic education), and the implementation of Qur’anic and Hadith principles in learning. 5. Teacher Education and Professional Development This scope covers the competence, professionalism, and pedagogical innovation of Islamic education teachers. It also includes studies on teacher training, certification, and continuous professional development. 6. Islamic Psychology and Character Education This scope focuses on character building, moral and spiritual education, Islamic counseling, and psychological development based on Islamic teachings and values. 7. Islamic Education in Social and Cultural Contexts This scope includes studies on the role of Islamic education in society, including community-based learning, pesantren culture, and Islamic education in multicultural and global settings.
