Law plays a crucial role in enhancing public participation in local governance by providing a clear framework for citizen engagement in decision-making, oversight, and the fulfillment of their rights. This study examines the application of legal frameworks to improve public involvement in regional governance, focusing on the Indonesian context. Using an empirical juridical method, the research combines normative analysis of laws and empirical data from interviews and observations. Findings reveal that responsive legal products and participatory processes are essential to fostering public engagement in regional development. Key challenges include limited public awareness, bureaucratic inefficiencies, and inconsistent implementation of legal provisions. Addressing these issues through public education, transparent governance, and stronger legal enforcement can significantly improve participation rates. This paper highlights the importance of integrating legal and social perspectives to create inclusive and effective governance at the local level.

This study is motivated by several previous studies that conducted motivational research related to teenagers' visits to various types of events. The aim of this research is to validate the findings of previous studies by correlating external and internal motivations in the case study of the East Java Wayang Week (PWJ) event held at the “Taman Budaya Jawa Timur Cak Durasim” in Surabaya from November 6 to November 8, 2024. This study uses a mixed-method approach with an explanatory sequential design, where the researcher will analyze quantitative data regarding the general external motivations for attending the event. The findings from this quantitative analysis will then be further explored using a qualitative method to gain insights into the internal motivations of visitors to the event. Through the t-test results, a new finding was discovered, which differs from previous studies, where external motivation does not necessarily have a direct influence on the decision to attend the event. Interviews with several attendees of the East Java Wayang Week (PWJ) revealed that internal motivations also significantly influenced their decision to attend the event.

The religion of Islam, revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, continues to evolve over time, with Indonesia being a Muslim-majority country with a population of approximately 229.62 million people (87.2% of the total population). With the world's Muslim population projected to reach 2.2 billion by 2030, Indonesia accounts for around 13.1% of the global Muslim population. This study aims to examine the role of social media as a means of da'wah, the challenges faced, and solutions to overcome these challenges. Through a survey involving 76 respondents, it was found that the utilization of social media for Islamic da'wah content is still relatively low; the majority of respondents only occasionally search for and rarely share da'wah content. Challenges in da'wah in the era of globalization include laziness to access content, diverse preferences for preachers and methods, and the existence of invalid content. The findings suggest the need for more effective strategies to increase public interest and participation in da'wah through social media

The growth of Indonesia's cattle population and productivity, and the factors contributing to these changes. Government policies, livestock health conditions and a shortage of quality feed have transformed Indonesia's cattle sector in recent years. Although the Special Effort for Mandatory Breeding Cattle (Upsus Siwab) programme has resulted in an increase in the cattle population, the implementation of this programme is still uneven across the country. In contrast, Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreaks and feed limitation issues are major constraints to increasing productivity. As the results show, regions that have better access to artificial insemination technology and high-quality feed have better results compared to other regions. To achieve sustainable cattle growth in Indonesia, more equitable policies, strengthened animal health systems, and improved feed distribution and quality are needed.

Land conversion is an important issue in Indonesia and Nigeria, with significant economic, social and environmental impacts. The problem-solving approach to uncovering farmers' legal culture is done through a sociolegal approach, where the law is seen not limited to the text but also its context in reality in society. With the sociolegal approach, the values, attitudes and views (NSP) of farmers towards their agricultural land, towards LP2B policies, and the behaviour of farmers in the use and utilization of their agricultural land designated as sustainable food agricultural land can be revealed and constructed appropriately and adequately. This research aims to uncover how farmers' legal culture can be better integrated in the law enforcement of food agricultural land protection, as well as find ways to harmonize formal laws with local practices in order to achieve more effective and equitable land protection, in addition to comparing factors affecting land conversion in both countries, including urbanization, infrastructure and industrial development, and government policies. The economic impacts of land conversion include economic growth and job creation, but also threaten food security and farmers' livelihoods. Social impacts include land conflicts and changes in people's lifestyles, while environmental impacts include deforestation, erosion and flooding. Proposed solutions include stronger monitoring and law enforcement, community participation, and sustainable policies and empowerment programs for farmers. In conclusion, wise policies and active participation from all parties are needed to sustainably manage land conversion in Indonesia and Nigeria.

As technology rapidly advances, the internet and social media have become an integral part of everyday life. Social media, which has evolved significantly since the Web 2.0 and 3.0 eras, plays a crucial role in communication and marketing. In this context, Bank Syariah Indonesia utilizes social media as a marketing tool to reach customers, particularly the millennial generation, who are highly reliant on digital technology. This study aims to explore the application of social media in the marketing of Islamic bank products and how brand image influences customer decisions. This article discusses the concept of social interaction in Islam, particularly in the context of relationships between Muslims and non-Muslims. Islam teaches values of ukhuwah (brotherhood), tolerance, and justice in interactions with fellow human beings, both within Muslim communities and with those of different beliefs. The central principle taught in Islam is that there is no compulsion in religion (la ikraha fid-din), as religion is a personal choice and belief that cannot be forced. In the context of dialogue or debate with non-Muslims, Islam emphasizes the importance of good manners, politeness, and gentleness, so that debates or discussions can lead to the mutual discovery of truth without insulting or belittling others. Thabathabai’s interpretation explains that debating with non-Muslims should be done constructively, without containing any errors, flaws, or insults. However, debating with the unjust, who close themselves off from the truth, is considered unproductive and will only worsen the situation. This article also highlights that differences in religion, culture, and beliefs should be an opportunity for mutual understanding and cooperation in creating peace and well-being together. Islam teaches the importance of maintaining harmonious relationships with fellow humans, whether in social, political, or religious contexts, while respecting freedom of belief and personal integrity
