Mathematics is one of the main skills taught from elementary school to college, playing a role in developing critical and logical thinking patterns of students. However, many elementary school students have difficulty understanding mathematical concepts, especially spatial figures, due to the lack of supporting learning media. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of using Trimatra (three-dimensional) media in mathematics learning in elementary schools. Trimatra media, such as three-dimensional models of spatial figures, allows students to visualize and understand the characteristics and relationships between spatial figures in a concrete manner. The results of the literature study show that Trimatra media not only increases students' knowledge of mathematical concepts, but also motivates students to be actively involved in learning, increases critical thinking skills, and overall learning outcomes.

Ethics in face-to-face discussion learning for accounting students finds new challenges when AI has been widely used. This study aims to determine the dimensions of legality, ethics, and behavior of AI use in accounting students' discussions. This study is exploratory descriptive. Primary data were collected through interview methods. Secondary data was obtained through a literature study. Respondents were 3rd-semester students of the accounting study program who had not taken the Professional Ethics course. The findings from the legal aspect show that there is a legal vacuum related to the results of AI's work. Therefore, the results of AI's work are owned by users who download it and agree to the terms and conditions that apply to the AI installed on their devices. In this regard, we recommend the implementation of the Work Made For Hire Doctrine. The Ethics Aspect is still related to the legal vacuum aspect, so students need rules or initial agreements in using AI in face-to-face discussion activities. The result strengthens the evidence of deontological ethics in Accounting students. The benefits of using AI from the results of this study are to increase class activity, so that lecturers are expected to elaborate on the use of AI in their lecture methods. Another positive side of using AI is because the answers are too broad and often inconsistent, this condition triggers students’ critical thinking. On the other hand, students generally use AI to save time. Therefore, it is recommended that accounting student lecturers provide a different perspective on the importance of studying lecture material, and emphasize the assessment of each individual based on the process, not on the result.

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of project-based collaborative learning in improving the English speaking skills of high school students. Using a quasi-experimental design, this study involved 64 eleventh-grade students divided into an experimental group (n=32) using project-based collaborative learning methods and a control group (n=32) using conventional methods. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test speaking assessments, classroom observations, and interviews with students and teachers. The results showed that the experimental group experienced a significant improvement in English speaking skills compared to the control group (p<0.05) with a large effect size (d=0.87). Qualitative analysis revealed that project-based collaborative learning increased students' motivation, confidence, and critical thinking abilities. These findings indicate that the project-based collaborative learning approach can be an effective strategy for developing English speaking skills in the EFL (English as a Foreign Language) context.

Reading plays an important role in building a literate generation that is able to improve academic skills, broaden horizons and maintain local cultural identity. However, the low interest in reading in Indonesia, especially among students, is a big challenge. Internal factors, such as student motivation, and external factors, such as family and school support, are highly influential. Strategies such as reading for pleasure, edutainment and the School Literacy Movement are effective in fostering a reading culture as well as shaping students' characters, such as honesty, empathy and critical thinking. Challenges in implementation include limited reading materials, teacher training, technology support and collaboration with the community. Strategic steps, such as enrichment of reading materials, intensive teacher training and community involvement, are needed to overcome them. With good literacy, students can think critically, have character and contribute positively. This research uses a qualitative approach through a literature study to examine the importance of literacy culture.

This study investigates the role of scaffolding assessment in fostering self-directed learning (SDL) within project-based learning (PBL) environments in higher education. Scaffolding assessment, characterized by gradual guidance, helps students transition from structured support to greater autonomy while enhancing critical thinking, goal-setting, and self-regulation. Through a mixed-methods approach, the study examines students' perceptions and experiences of scaffolding interventions in a research-based course. Quantitative findings reveal positive impacts on autonomy, critical thinking, and goal-setting, while qualitative insights highlight the importance of tailored scaffolding tools, motivational elements, and digital adaptability.Although scaffolding significantly enhances SDL by promoting independence and cognitive engagement, challenges remain in optimizing digital tools and addressing individual learning needs. Personalized scaffolding strategies and motivational scaffolds are essential for sustaining long-term engagement and effectively supporting diverse learners in complex, research-intensive environments. This study underscores the importance of adaptive scaffolding designs that balance structure and flexibility, offering practical implications for educators seeking to implement scaffolding assessments to enhance student autonomy and learning outcomes in higher education.

This research aims to analyze the learning methods used by Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers in improving students' critical thinking skills at the junior high school level. The focus of this research is on the use of learning methods such as lectures, discussions, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and cooperative learning. The approach used is qualitative by collecting data through journals, literature reviews, document studies and e-books. The research location was carried out in North Sumatra Province and its surroundings, Indonesia. The research results show that PAK teachers still predominantly use lecture methods which are less effective in encouraging students to think critically. However, some students have shown potential for critical thinking when given more innovative learning methods, such as PBL and group discussions. Learning methods that actively involve students, such as discussions and cooperative learning, have been proven to be able to increase student participation and develop analytical skills, problem solving and creativity.
