This study discusses the implementation of the Self-Directed Learning Programme by integrating Learning Outcomes (CP), Learning Objectives (TP), and Learning Objective Processes (ATP) to enhance teaching quality and teacher professionalism. Using a library research method, this study analyses relevant scientific literature to understand the relationship between the integration of the three components of the education programme and classroom teaching practices. The research findings indicate that teachers still encounter challenges in understanding and integrating CP, TP, and ATP, particularly in planning, implementing teaching strategies, and conducting authentic assessments. However, when this integration is well executed, the teaching process becomes more purposeful, flexible and responsive to students' needs. Furthermore, integrating CP–TP–ATP has been shown to strengthen teachers' professionalism by enhancing their understanding of the curriculum, their ability to design learning activities, and their capacity to conduct competency-based assessment. This study confirms that the successful implementation of the Free Education Programme depends heavily on teachers' ability to understand the curriculum's structure and to integrate these three components consistently. Therefore, training, supporting, and developing teachers' competencies is an important requirement for the effective and sustainable implementation of the Liberal Education Programme.

The UNAMA Library employs information systems to enhance its academic services. Nevertheless, its administrative framework continues to encounter obstacles, such as inadequate service system support for users, constrained resources allocated for the management and upkeep of the system, an absence of standardized protocols for addressing technical challenges, and insufficient assessment system efficacy. If these issues remain unaddressed, the operational effectiveness of the library information system will be compromised, thereby thwarting the objective of delivering dependable information services. This investigation seeks to illuminate the maturity level of information system governance as delineated by COBIT 2019 within the Decision Support Systems (DSS) domain, specifically focusing on the DSS01 (Manage Operations) and DSS02 (Manage Service Requests and Incidents) processes. The findings suggest that the degree of information system governance capability the UNAMA Library is situated at the Established Process level (level 3), signifying that the process has undergone implementation; however, it has yet to be comprehensively documented and consistently evaluated. Moreover, a disparity persists between the existing state and the anticipated capability level of the organization, particularly concerning IT operations management, the standardization incident handling, and the documentation of operational procedures. An elucidation of the expected level is articulated, especially in terms of operational standards, incident documentation, and IT infrastructure oversight. Recommendations encompass the formulation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), the enhancement of documentation practices, and periodic assessments grounded in COBIT 2019. These findings are anticipated to assist libraries in augmenting the efficacy of information systems governance and the quality of IT services.

Buddhist teachings play a crucial role in addressing various social problems that continue to develop in the modern era. Rapid social change, globalization, and technological advancement have brought not only positive impacts but also serious challenges, such as increasing social conflicts, moral degradation, individualism, and the weakening of social awareness within society. In this context, Buddhism offers universal ethical guidance that remains relevant across time, particularly through the principles of compassion (karuṇā), loving-kindness (mettā), wisdom (paññā), and mental equanimity (upekkhā), which guide individuals toward harmonious and responsible living. This study aims to analyze the role of Buddhist values in providing solutions to contemporary social problems. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method based on library research, using a hermeneutic approach to Buddhist sacred texts and relevant scientific studies. The findings indicate that the application of Buddhist values contributes significantly to the development of social morality, the strengthening of social solidarity, conflict resolution, and the formation of individual character marked by empathy, tolerance, and responsibility. Furthermore, these values play an essential role in fostering interreligious harmony and cultivating collective awareness of the importance of peaceful coexistence within pluralistic and multicultural societies.

Education in Islam plays a vital role in developing human potential holistically, where knowledge serves as the primary indicator of an individual's quality. This study aims to examine the virtue of knowledgeable people from the Quranic perspective, focusing on the theological and pedagogical analysis of Surah Al-Mujadalah verse 11. The method employed is descriptive qualitative through library research with a thematic exegesis (tafsir) approach. The results indicate that QS. Al-Mujadalah verse 11 establishes a hierarchy of human dignity based on the integration of faith and knowledge, rather than social or material status. These findings confirm that the elevation of rank encompasses a worldly dimension in the form of moral authority and an otherworldly dimension in the form of high positions before Allah. The implications of this research for contemporary Islamic education emphasize the importance of eliminating the dichotomy between religious and general sciences to cultivate the insan kamil (perfect human), who possesses a balance of intellectual intelligence, spiritual depth, and social responsibility. The study concludes that the virtue of knowledge in Islam is always grounded in transcendental values that bridge theory, faith, and practical deeds.

The development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 to the Society 5.0 era presents new challenges for education, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI). PAI is required not only to transfer religious knowledge but also to shape character, morality, and 21st-century competencies. This study aims to examine the philosophical foundations, characteristics, and application of PAI learning models to ensure their relevance in modern education. The research employed a qualitative approach with a library research design, involving the exploration of primary and secondary literature, critical reading, systematic note-taking, and content analysis validated through triangulation of classical and contemporary sources. The findings indicate that PAI learning models are conceptual, theoretical, systematic, and rooted in religious, philosophical, psychological, and sociological foundations. Four main models behavioristic, information processing, social, and humanistic each have strengths and limitations, yet their integration is relevant to forming insan kamil, a holistic human being balanced in cognitive, affective, psychomotor, spiritual, and social aspects. Therefore, developing PAI learning models based on Islamic philosophy and adaptive to technological advancements is a strategic necessity to face global challenges.

This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, focusing on the development of pragmatic thinking in Western and Islamic traditions and its contribution to contemporary education. Data were obtained through literature reviews from books, scientific journals, and previous research results. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques to identify similarities and differences in Western and Islamic pragmatic thinking. The results of the study indicate that Western pragmatism developed through Peirce, James, and Dewey, who emphasized truth based on practical consequences and usefulness in life. Islamic pragmatism, although not explicit, is reflected in the thoughts of Al-Ghazali and Ibn Khaldun, who combine revelation with empirical experience and public welfare. The contribution of pragmatism to contemporary education includes: (1) educational goals oriented towards social experiences and problem-solving; (2) the position of students as active subjects with growth capacity; (3) curriculum development that is flexible, experience-based, and adaptive to social changes. this research states that Western and Islamic pragmatism both provide important contributions to contemporary education, shifting the focus from knowledge transfer to the development of competencies and characters that are relevant.

Humans, as creations of Allah SWT, are entrusted with the mandate to prosper the earth; therefore, divine revelations were sent down, culminating in the Qur’an as the ultimate guide for life. Islam, as a universal religion, emphasizes education as a means to achieve a complete and meaningful life. Islamic education, as defined by scholars such as al-Syaebani, Zakiah Drajat, and Muhaimin, is a process of transforming human behavior in personal, social, and environmental contexts based on Islamic values. This study employs a library research method with a thematic tafsir (maudhu’i) approach to examine the Qur’anic foundations of Islamic education. The findings indicate that verses such as QS. Al-‘Alaq [96]:1–5 highlight the importance of literacy as the starting point of education, QS. Al-Mujadalah [58]:11 affirms the elevated status of the learned, QS. An-Nahl [16]:78 emphasizes human innate potential, QS. Luqman [31]:12–19 stresses character education, and QS. Ali Imran [3]:190–191 underscores the integration of spirituality and intellect. Thus, the Qur’anic foundation provides theological, philosophical, and practical bases for the development of Islamic education aimed at forming insan kamil—individuals who are knowledgeable, faithful, and morally upright. QS. Luqman: 13–19 highlights education based on monotheism and morals, where Luqman advises his children to have faith, do good deeds and be patient. QS. Al-Māidah: 67 emphasizes trust and courage in conveying knowledge, as Allah commanded the Prophet to convey revelation without fear

This study aims to analyze the application of Think-Pair-Share (TPS) and Group Investigation (GI) cooperative learning strategies as pedagogical innovations in strengthening Islamic values and student learning independence in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) subjects. This study uses a library research method by examining various relevant scientific sources, including cooperative learning theory, the concept of independent learning, and Islamic educational values. The results of the study show that the integration of TPS and GI strategies can create an active, participatory, collaborative, and reflective learning process. Through paired discussions and investigative group work, students are trained to think critically, be responsible, and be able to work together harmoniously. In addition to improving academic understanding, the application of these two strategies also contributes to instilling Islamic values such as ukhuwah (brotherhood), amanah (trustworthiness), and mutual respect. Thus, this learning innovation is not only oriented towards cognitive aspects, but also towards character building and spirituality of students. The findings of this study are expected to be a reference for PAI teachers in developing effective, contextual, and Islamic character learning strategies.

This study analyzes the implementation of Islamic inheritance law (mawaris) in contemporary Muslim society as a means to realize justice and blessing (barakah) in the distribution of inherited wealth. The research is motivated by the growing number of inheritance disputes caused by limited understanding of faraid principles, the persistence of customary inheritance practices, and the coexistence of national legal systems that often diverge from Islamic inheritance regulations. These conditions frequently lead to unequal distribution and family conflicts. The study aims to examine the relevance of mawaris in modern contexts and to explore how its application, when aligned with the objectives of Islamic law (maqasid al-shariah), can address current social challenges. Employing a qualitative method with a normative library research approach, the study draws on primary sources such as the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical fiqh texts, as well as secondary sources including contemporary books and scholarly journal articles. Data were analyzed through content analysis to identify key concepts and arguments regarding the contemporary application of mawaris. The findings show that proper implementation of Islamic inheritance law fosters justice, minimizes family disputes, strengthens kinship ties, and safeguards the blessing of wealth. Nevertheless, insufficient public literacy on Islamic inheritance law and the dominance of non-sharia considerations remain significant barriers. Therefore, the study underscores the need for enhanced public education, greater involvement of religious scholars in inheritance mediation, and contextual integration of Islamic legal principles to ensure fair and beneficial inheritance distribution in modern Muslim families.

Madhhab fanaticism in Islamic education, which appears in fiqh teaching practices that tend to absolutize a single madhhab, restrict dialogical space, and insufficiently appreciate the diversity of scholarly opinions. Such conditions may foster exclusive and intolerant religious attitudes among students. To respond to this problem, the study employs a qualitative approach with a library research design by critically examining books, journal articles, and documents related to fiqh madhhabs, Islamic education, religious moderation, and multicultural education. The data are analyzed using content analysis and descriptive–analytical techniques to map the forms of madhhab fanaticism in the learning process, the stages of transformation in madhhab understanding, and the pedagogical strategies that support the emergence of tolerant attitudes. The findings indicate that the transformation toward a more tolerant understanding of madhhabs is supported by curricula that accommodate comparative fiqh (multi-madhhab), inclusive learning materials, dialogical teaching methods, and teachers’ role modeling of moderate attitudes. Inhibiting factors include deeply rooted madhhab fanaticism, the dominance of conservative curricula, ideological bias in textbooks, and a weak culture of critical thinking. It is concluded that strengthening fiqh instructional design that consciously integrates religious moderation and multicultural education is essential for shifting madhhab understanding from patterns of fanaticism to patterns of tolerance within Islamic educational institutions.

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) faces serious challenges from the crisis of integrity and trust in the digital era, which is manifested in the weakening of social solidarity (ukhuwah) and the emergence of a toxic social environment due to disinformation and fragility of commitment. This study aims to analyze and formulate an implementation model for the values of Shiddiq (honesty and truth) and Amanah (trustworthiness and responsibility) in PAI, as well as to examine their role in building Ukhuwah and a Positive Social Environment among students. The method used is library research with a qualitative-analytical approach, involving a critical review of relevant scientific literature, journals, and books. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of these two prophetic values must be carried out transformatively through integrated Project Based Learning (PjBL) and Problem Based Learning (PBL) methods, not merely cognitive transfer, but through real practice. The value of Shiddiq plays a central role in building trust and countering hoaxes, while Amanah ensures commitment and social responsibility, which collectively strengthen the bonds of ukhuwah. These findings imply the urgency of developing an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum that is responsive to digital ethics and strengthens teacher exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah) as a model of integrity. It is recommended that future research conduct empirical tests of the proposed implementation model to strengthen the generalizability of the findings.

This article examines the role of axiology as a value dimension in the philosophy of science, which serves to guide science so that it not only produces knowledge but also provides benefits that align with humanitarian, ethical, and sustainable values. This research uses a library study method by reviewing various literature discussing the concept of axiology. The results of the study indicate that science cannot be viewed as a value-free activity, because every stage of the scientific process, from problem selection and method development to data interpretation and application of research results, is constantly influenced by social norms, moral considerations, and certain values. Therefore, axiology plays a crucial role in ensuring that scientific progress prioritizes human welfare and does not have destructive impacts. Furthermore, critical thinking skills are an important element in the application of axiology, as they enable humans to assess and consider the benefits and consequences of science more deeply. This study also emphasizes that scientists have a moral responsibility both internally, such as maintaining academic integrity and scientific objectivity, and externally, namely ensuring that research results are utilized for the common good. Thus, this article highlights the importance of integration between science, ethics, and values as a foundation for developing knowledge that is not only scientifically correct, but also morally good and beneficial for the sustainability of life.

An employment relationship is a relationship between a worker and an employer or entrepreneur involving work, wages, and orders. One outcome of this employment relationship is termination of employment. To create a just and prosperous society based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, the government has enacted laws concerning termination of employment, such as Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower, Law No. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation, and Government Regulation No. 35 of 2021 concerning Fixed-Term Employment Agreements, Outsourcing, Working and Rest Hours, and Termination of Employment. This research uses a normative legal method, namely examining the law as it exists or should exist, or the law in books. The research was conducted by analyzing applicable laws and regulations, using library materials or secondary data covering primary, secondary, and tertiary law. Termination of employment is the right of both parties, namely workers and employers. Both parties can terminate the employment relationship according to their respective situations or conditions. This issue often generates debate because each party has different perspectives and arguments regarding termination of employment. As a result, the amount of compensation workers receive in practice also varies. Comparing Law No. 13 of 2003, Law No. 11 of 2020, and Government Regulation No. 35 of 2021 concerning termination of employment, it is clear that the Employee Rights Act No. 13 of 2003 provides more compensation than the Job Creation Law. Therefore, in practice, many companies, including PT Kuoni Indonesia, seek ways to reduce their compensation obligations under the pretext of negotiating with employees.

This study aims to analyse the development and compare the legal politics of the Religious Court in Indonesia and Turkey. This study is library research with an interdisciplinary approach to historical-legal and comparative law research. This study presents a historical-legal perspective and a comparative analysis of the law to obtain similarities and differences in the legal politics of the Religious Court in Indonesia and Turkey. The legal politics of the Religious Court in Indonesia are divided into pre-Colonial, independence, and reform periods. In Turkey, the Religious Court is divided into three periods: before the Tanzimat, after the Tanzimat, and during Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's reforms. A comparative analysis of the law found that the Religious Courts in Indonesia and Turkey initially applied Islamic law. Still, later restrictions were placed on it in an attempt to abolish it. The difference is that the Religious Court in Indonesia still enforces Islamic law as a positive law in certain fields and regions. The Religious Court in Turkey was abolished and replaced by a regular Court based on European law. The existence of the Religious Court in Indonesia demonstrates the success of legal pluralism, while legal secularism has shifted legal pluralism in Turkey.

The Presbyterian-Synodal system of church government is based on the ideal theological foundation of Christocracy, the confession that Christ is the sole Head of the Church who rules directly through His Word and Spirit. Theoretically, this model rejects hierarchy, affirms the parity of all ecclesiastical officers (ministers, elders, deacons) as servants, and views the local church council as a complete church (ecclesia completa). However, in historical and contemporary practice, a fundamental tension exists whereby this system consistently deviates into hierarchical and clerical practices. This deviation manifests as a hierarchy of office (clericalism) and a hierarchy of assemblies (Synod-centrism), where authority shifts from Christ to official figures and Synodal structures that are viewed as the "highest court." This article aims to analyze the fundamental causes of this authority shift. Using a qualitative library research method, the author conducts a systematic-theological, historical-critical, and comparative analysis of the works of Reformers (especially Calvin), historical church order documents, and contemporary case studies (such as in Malawi and GMIM). This study concludes that this authority shift stems from two primary factors: First, a "theological deficiency" in many church order documents, which fail to affirm Christ's rule "through His Word and Spirit," stating instead only His rule "through the ministry of officials," thus effectively equating official authority with Christ's authority. Second, the historical legacy of Scottish "national covenant" ecclesiology, which was historically intentionally designed with a centralized authority structure for "godly officials" to "rule over" a mixed populace. The author recommends that churches in this tradition revise their church orders to explicitly re-assert the supremacy of Christ's rule through His Word and Spirit over any human official or synodical authority.
