In an era marked by complex global threats and the intensification of visual media, contemporary security studies must expand their understanding of securitization beyond linguistic speech acts to include visual dimensions. This article examines how visual narratives shape global threat perceptions through aesthetics that operate performatively and emotionally. Using a qualitative approach and visual discourse analysis, this study demonstrates that images, symbols, and visual representations in media play a significant role in constructing issues such as terrorism, migration, pandemics, and climate crises as existential threats. Visuals not only convey information but also activate emotions such as fear, empathy, and urgency, which in turn influence security policies. However, the findings also highlight the need for caution against the manipulative potential of visuals that may reinforce stereotypes and distort reality. Therefore, this article emphasizes the importance of fostering visual literacy and adopting ethical approaches in global security communication.

Preeclampsia is a condition of hypertension occurring after 20 weeks of gestation, accompanied by organ dysfunction and proteinuria. Preeclampsia is classified into Early Onset Preeclampsia (EOPE), which occurs before 34 weeks of gestation, and Late Onset Preeclampsia (LOPE), which occurs after 34 weeks of gestation. EOPE carries a higher risk of maternal and fetal complications compared to LOPE. This research aims to analyze the complications in mothers and fetuses with EOPE and LOPE that were terminated at RSUD Raden Mattaher Jambi between 2020 and 2022. This descriptive research was conducted in the Medical Records Department of RSUD Raden Mattaher, Jambi, involving 82 patients who experienced both maternal and fetal complications with EOPE and LOPE that were terminated. Sampling was carried out using the total sampling technique based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of this research showed that the prevalence of EOPE was 69.5%, while LOPE accounted for 30.5%. Maternal complications were more commonly found in EOPE cases, including eclampsia (42.1%), HELLP syndrome (36%), premature rupture of membranes (14%), placental abruption (14%), and maternal mortality (5.3%). Fetal complications in EOPE included Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) (10.5%), prematurity (26.3%), low birth weight (29.8%), Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR) (10.5%), and Intrauterine Fetal Death (IUFD) (1.8%). The perinatal mortality rate in EOPE was 7%, with asphyxia recorded in 12.3% of cases. EOPE is more frequently encountered than LOPE and is associated with more severe maternal and fetal complications. Early detection and management of EOPE are crucial to reducing complications and improving pregnancy outcomes.

Acute Otitis Media (AOM) is a common middle ear infection in children, particularly in rural areas. This study aims to explore the clinical characteristics of AOM in children treated at rural health centers (puskesmas) and to examine the barriers to effective management. A descriptive qualitative method was employed through a literature review analyzing symptoms, stages, risk factors, and treatment approaches. The findings reveal that AOM in children often begins with an upper respiratory tract infection and presents with sudden ear pain, high fever, sleep disturbances, and ear discharge. Risk factors include young age, poor environmental conditions, and limited access to healthcare services. Management of AOM depends on its clinical stage and requires accurate diagnosis. However, in rural puskesmas, a lack of diagnostic tools and limited public awareness often leads to delayed treatment. Therefore, it is essential to provide health workers with basic ENT training, ensure the availability of diagnostic equipment, and educate parents to enable early detection and prevent complications that could affect a child’s development.

This study aims to examine public preferences for online shopping platforms and the relationship between these preferences and patriotism. This is based on the fact that online shopping activities, particularly in Indonesia, are predominantly carried out by young people. Preferences for online shopping platforms are often influenced by factors such as price, shipping speed, and discounts. However, non-economic factors, such as patriotism or love for the country, also play an important role in choosing an online shopping platform. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a Likert scale-based questionnaire instrument to measure two main variables: consumer patriotism and preference for online shopping platforms. The results of data analysis using binary logistic regression show that patriotism has a significant influence on the selection of online shopping platforms. Although more people prefer Shopee, the presence of Tokopedia, as a symbolic representation of economic nationalism, remains prominent. This suggests that patriotism can influence consumer behavior, even in a digital context that is often assumed to be neutral to national values.

The relationship between Makassar sailors and the Yolngu Aboriginal people in northern Australia since the 17th century shows an early form of peaceful and mutually beneficial inter-community diplomacy. The sea cucumber trade activity became the entry point for deep economic cooperation and cultural exchange, leaving a significant influence on the social and cultural identity of the Yolngu people. Using a historical method approach, this article explores archaeological, linguistic, and oral narrative evidence that strengthens the traces of this interaction. In the modern context, this historical legacy is an important foundation for Indonesia's cultural diplomacy and soft power, while strengthening strategic cooperation with Australia in the fields of maritime, culture, and regional security.

Strengthening the position of cooperatives as business entities that are responsive to market changes and capable of competing effectively requires a well-planned business development strategy. In facing the challenges of globalization and increasingly complex business competition, cooperatives can no longer rely solely on the principle of togetherness but must implement a modern managerial approach based on data and measurable strategies. This study aims to analyze how cooperatives develop their businesses by understanding market characteristics and competitor strategies through the application of operations management using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach, focusing on analyzing various literatures related to cooperative management, strategic management, and organizational performance measurement systems. The findings show that the Balanced Scorecard is effective as a tool to assist in formulating comprehensive strategies through four main dimensions: financial, customer, internal process, and learning and growth. With this approach, cooperatives can improve operational performance, gain deeper insights into market needs, respond appropriately to competition, and create long-term value for all their members.

Yohanes N. Gela Loy, NIM 33120041, Thesis entitled "Analysis of Fixed Asset Revenue and Its Contribution to Local Original Income (PAD): Case Study at Lasiana Beach Kupang". Under the guidance of Mrs. Maria Goreti Malut as the first supervisor and Mr. Antonius Y.W. Timuneno as the second supervisor. The problem raised in this study is how fixed asset revenue from the Lasiana Beach Kupang tourist area can contribute to increasing Local Original Income (PAD). The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which the utilization of fixed assets owned and managed by the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government can contribute significantly to PAD. This study uses a qualitative method with primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews with the NTT Provincial Tourism Office as well as documentation of financial reports and PAD revenue targets for 2021–2023. The results of the study indicate that although there has been an increase in revenue every year, its contribution to PAD has not been optimal. This is caused by several factors, including: damage to facilities such as stalls and sales stalls, minimal tourism promotion, and lack of supporting facilities. Therefore, to increase the contribution of fixed assets to PAD, infrastructure improvements, increased tourism promotion capacity, and strategic cooperation with the private sector are needed so that asset management can run effectively and sustainably.

The provision under Article 17 paragraph (1) letter f of the Notary Law (UUJN) stipulates that a Notary is prohibited from concurrently holding a position as a leader or manager in a state-owned or private business entity. However, the term "leader" as used in this provision is not clearly defined, either in the main text of the article or in its explanatory section. The absence of a clear definition creates legal ambiguity, as the provision does not refer to organizational structures regulated under the Company Law, the State-Owned Enterprises Law, or the Regional Government Law. This has led to varying interpretations in the supervision of Notaries and creates potential inconsistencies in the enforcement of the rule. To address this normative uncertainty, there is a need for regulation that explicitly outlines which positions are considered to fall under the term "leader" as intended by the UUJN. This journal article focuses on analyzing the meaning of the term "leader" in Article 17 paragraph (1) letter f of the UUJN, and on examining the legal certainty of using the term in relation to the prohibition against Notaries concurrently holding leadership positions in business entities.
