Gorontalo Regency is one of the areas prone to annual flooding. One of the villages in Tibawa District, Gorontalo Regency, affected by floods is Balahu Village. The flood problem in Balahu Village is a serious issue and requires solutions to minimize the negative impacts caused by the periodic floods that occur every year. To address this problem, the Thematic KKN Program was implemented by developing and applying innovations to face disaster threats, through the mapping of natural disaster evacuation routes and disaster mitigation training for the Balahu Village community. The method used in this Thematic KKN Program to create evacuation route maps utilized network analysis. Students and the community collaborated in mapping evacuation routes, creating direction signs, and conducting disaster evacuation simulations with the support of relevant agencies, resulting in evacuation route maps ready for use during disasters. The UNG Thematic KKN 2024 activities provided significant benefits by contributing to the development of geophysical knowledge in disaster management, providing information on flood evacuation route mapping, enhancing community understanding of disaster mitigation, and strengthening community self-reliance and resilience in facing natural disasters.

This research aims to develop a family-based marriage catechesis module as a foundation for post-wedding accompaniment of young Catholic couples. Using a qualitative approach with document study, the research identifies five key gaps in Catholic couple accompaniment: discontinuity of pastoral care, non-transformative pedagogical approaches, minimal involvement of experienced families, lack of content contextualization, and weak communal support. In response, a module with spiral structure was developed for continuous accompaniment during the first four years of marriage, integrating theological-spiritual, relational-psychological, social-communal, and practical-contextual dimensions. This module operationalizes the concept of "family as pastoral subject" through a mentoring model where experienced couples accompany newly married couples. Implementation requires systematic selection and formation of mentor couples, balanced accompaniment structures, and adaptive approaches. Integration strategies within parish systems include institutional support, appropriate ecclesiological approaches, a "hub and spoke" model, gradual implementation, and utilization of digital technology. This research offers a more participatory, relational, and contextual approach to marriage pastoral care.

Paul's theology of the Kingdom of God provides a profound understanding of God's governance that is already present and continues to develop in the lives of humanity. This concept encourages Christians to live according to Christian values such as love, justice, forgiveness, and peace. In Batak society, which upholds the principles of Dalihan Na Tolu and mutual cooperation, the values of the Kingdom of God can be integrated with local traditions to create social harmony. Active participation in the community through customary practices and social activities becomes a tangible manifestation of Paul's teachings about the Kingdom of God. Furthermore, this understanding offers hope and strength to Batak Christians in facing life's challenges, making their identity as citizens of the Kingdom of God a source of spiritual motivation. The integration of Paul's theology and Batak culture not only enriches local traditions but also strengthens Christian faith identity within the community. Through this contextual approach, a synergy between faith and culture is created, positively impacting daily life.

Love is the main principle in Christianity taught by Jesus and emphasized by the Apostle Paul as the fulfillment of the Law. In the context of Batak society, the Dalihan Na Tolu social system regulates social relations based on the principles of honor, solidarity, and responsibility. This research aims to analyze how the law of love in Paul's theology can be integrated with the principles of Dalihan Na Tolu to build contextual Christian ethics in Batak land without losing the essence of the gospel. This research uses a qualitative method with a theological and ethnographic study approach. Literature studies were conducted on biblical texts, Pauline theological sources, and references to Batak culture. Hermeneutic analysis was used to understand the concept of the law of love in Paul's theology, while a study of Dalihan Na Tolu was conducted to identify its relevance to Christian ethics. The results show that there are similar values between the law of love in Paul's theology and the principles of Dalihan Na Tolu, especially in terms of love, respect and solidarity. However, some aspects of Dalihan Na Tolu need to be criticized, especially in terms of social hierarchy that can lead to injustice. Therefore, cultural transformation is needed so that the principle of love taught in the Bible can become the basis of Christian ethics that are relevant to Batak society. This research contributes to the development of contextual theology and provides insight for the church and Batak community in applying the law of love in social and traditional life.

Neglected elderly are at risk of becoming PMKS and are fostered by the Social Service. These elderly people need social adaptation and are vulnerable to depression. This study aims to analyze the process of social adaptation and depression control in an effort to improve the quality of life of neglected elderly at Sasana Tresna Werdha Dukuh 5, 2023-2024. The observational study uses a sequential explanatory mixed-method approach with surveys and in-depth interviews as well as FGDs, using 19 respondents. The results show that 89.47% of respondents are young elderly, 68.42% show moderate social adaptation, 10.53% mild depression, and 26.32% have a moderate quality of life. Some of these elderly people experience social adaptation disorders and schizophrenia, as well as severe social problems. ASN and PJLP lack knowledge about mental disorders, especially depression. In conclusion, most neglected elderly fostered by PSTW experience good self-adaptation, do not experience depression, and have a good quality of life, but some elderly people are found to experience severe depression and moderate quality of life. Social change in sports reflects the transformation occurring in the structure, values, and dynamics of society through sports activities. Sports, as a social phenomenon, not only serve as a means of recreation and competition but also as an important instrument in influencing social aspects such as integration, gender equality, social mobility, and solidarity. Social changes brought about by sports manifest in various forms, including shifts in norms and values that promote inclusivity, diversity, and broader participation. Issues such as human rights, anti-discrimination, and gender equality are increasingly gaining attention in the modern sports world. Additionally, technological advancements and globalization have accelerated changes in the way sports are practiced and consumed by society. This leads to new opportunities, such as increased access to sports across different social strata, but also presents new challenges, including commercialization and inequality in access to quality sports facilities. Thus, sports become both a reflection and a catalyst for broader social change dynamics within global society.
