This study discusses the comparative implementation of the 2013 Curriculum (K13) and the Independent Curriculum in elementary education at UPT SD Negeri 060816. The main focus of this study is to analyze the differences in implementation, identify the challenges and advantages of each curriculum, and evaluate their impact on learning effectiveness. The research method used is observation and interviews with grade 4 and 6 teachers as the main respondents. The results of the study show that the 2013 Curriculum is more structured with complete learning materials, while the Independent Curriculum provides flexibility for teachers and students in the project-based learning process. However, there are significant challenges in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, including limited learning resources, demands for teacher creativity, minimal parental participation, and difficulties in project-based assessments. However, both curricula have their respective advantages in developing student competencies. This study is expected to contribute to understanding the effectiveness of both curricula at the elementary education level and become a reference for policy makers in improving the quality of learning in schools.

The aim of this study was to improve students' creativity in completing Student Worksheets (LKPD) through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model for third-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Mambaul Ulum Kaliacar. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles. Each cycle included the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques involved observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The results of the study showed that the implementation of PjBL significantly improved students' creativity in completing LKPD in the Al-Qur'an Hadist subject. This was evident from the increase in the average creativity score of students from 65% in the first cycle to 85% in the second cycle. In addition, the level of student engagement in the learning process rose from 70% to 85%, and student satisfaction with the implementation of PjBL reached 80%. The obstacles encountered in this study included limited time and differences in students' initial abilities, but these challenges could be overcome with intensive guidance from the teacher. Thus, the implementation of Project Based Learning (PjBL) proved effective in enhancing students' creativity and learning motivation. It is recommended that teachers further optimize their roles as facilitators and consider students' characteristics to achieve more optimal results.

This study aims to analyze in depth the principal’s policies in improving teacher performance at public junior high schools (SMP Negeri) in Keluang District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The principal plays a strategic role as an educational leader who is responsible for directing, guiding, and developing human resources—particularly teachers—so that they can perform professionally in accordance with the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The research subjects include principals, teachers, and school supervisors. The findings reveal that the principal’s policies to improve teacher performance are implemented through four main strategies. First, enhancing teacher competence through training, workshops, academic supervision, and continuous professional development activities. Second, implementing reward and sanction systems to foster motivation and discipline among teachers. Third, building a collaborative work culture through subject teacher discussions (MGMP), regular meetings, and reflective teaching activities. Fourth, strengthening participatory leadership by involving teachers in school planning and evaluation processes. These policies have proven effective in improving teachers’ sense of responsibility, creativity, and instructional innovation. Thus, the principal’s role as a transformational leader is crucial in creating a conducive work environment and fostering efforts to improve the quality of education at the junior secondary school level.

Learning dance for deaf children faces unique challenges due to their hearing limitations in understanding rhythm and movement. To overcome this, an exploration-based approach and direct experience are needed. This study aims to analyze the implementation of dance learning for deaf children using the Project Based Learning model at SLB Negeri Tamansari, Tasikmalaya City to improve understanding of dance concepts, movement understanding, rhythm coordination, teamwork, and responses to learning using a scientific approach with five main steps, namely observing, asking, reasoning, trying, communicating. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The subjects of the study were deaf students who took part in dance learning, from movement exploration to the final performance. This model allows them to learn actively, build understanding through direct practice, and develop creativity in performing dance. The results of the study showed that the implementation of Project Based Learning succeeded in improving the dance skills of deaf students. The use of hand clapping instructions and teacher types made it easier to understand rhythm. Repeated practice helps them adjust their movements to the tempo, while the performance increases their confidence and expression.

Writing fiction stories is one of the important language skills in learning Indonesian. However, students' interest in writing fiction stories is still low, especially in Class V of SD S Alwashliyah 31 Medan Labuhan. One of the main causes is the lack of learning methods that attract and motivate students. Therefore, this research aims to increase interest and skills in writing fiction stories using image media. The research method used is descriptive analytical, namely a study that aims to collect data, describe, process, analyze, conclude and interpret data in order to obtain a systematic picture. The subjects of this research were 30 class V-A students in semester 1 of the 2024-2025 academic year. The data collection instruments used include competency tests and observation sheets. Competency tests are used to measure student learning outcomes after learning takes place using image media, while observation sheets are used to assess the implementation of class actions, class conditions, and student activity in the learning process. The research results show that image media can increase creativity, motivation, and help students compose more structured stories. The realization of learning that actively involves students is the hope of all parties, both the community and education practitioners. Increasing student activity is highly dependent on the teacher's ability to plan effective teaching and learning activities to achieve learning objectives. In the learning process at school, teachers need to encourage students to make optimal observations in order to obtain maximum learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers should provide students with the widest possible opportunity to observe in depth. The application of learning strategies with an activity-based approach in Islamic Religious Education subjects for grade V students of SDN 027 Labuhan Tangga Baru is expected to be able to increase motivation, achievement, creativity, and problem-solving abilities in learning.

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has drastically changed the global employment landscape, necessitating the comprehensive development of 21st-century skills in education systems. This study examines how private high schools in Indonesia implement 21st-century skills, focusing on the barriers faced, the strategies used, and their impact on student learning outcomes. We used a mixed-methods approach involving 200 students, 25 teachers, and 10 principals from five private high schools in Java. Data were collected through surveys, semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results revealed four main barriers: limited teacher preparedness, limited resources, difficulties in assessment, and resistance to changes in teaching methods. Effective strategies implemented included ongoing professional development programs, integrating learning technology, project-based learning, and strengthening teacher collaboration. Our findings demonstrate significant improvements in students' critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills in schools implementing the comprehensive strategy. This research provides theoretical contributions to understanding the implementation context in developing countries while offering practical implications for policy makers, school administrators, and educators in designing contextual and sustainable 21st-century skills development programs.
