The food and beverage (FnB) industry is one of the main supporting sectors of tourism in Indonesia and has experienced rapid growth along with the increasing number of tourist activities and consumer demand. However, previous studies indicate that Service Quality in the FnB industry remains suboptimal, particularly in aspects related to human resources (HR). Issues such as inconsistent service performance, low responsiveness, and limited employee competence and work attitude are commonly identified. This study aims to systematically examine the role of human resources in Service Quality within the FnB industry and to identify key factors, management strategies, and existing research gaps. This research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the PICOC framework, analyzing 20 national and international journal articles published between 2015 - 2025 and retrieved from Google Scholar. The findings reveal that the most influential HR factors affecting Service Quality include competence, communication skills, work attitude, experience, and employee training. Furthermore, effective human resource management practices demonstrate a positive relationship with improved Service Quality. Nevertheless, the review identifies a lack of comprehensive studies integrating HR management and Service Quality within the specific Context of the Indonesian FnB industry, indicating opportunities for future research.

This study develops a computational-based system to identify individual potential through the analysis of signature patterns using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and the Backpropagation algorithm. The research aims to explore and examine the effectiveness of applying ANN in recognizing and identifying signature patterns that are assumed to be related to an individual’s potential. In the data processing stage, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is employed as a dimensionality reduction and feature extraction technique to optimally obtain the main characteristics of signature images. The system performance evaluation is conducted using a total of 80 signature images, consisting of 60 training data and 20 testing data. This study analyzes two network architecture configurations, namely a model with one hidden layer and a model with two hidden layers. The experimental results show that both network configurations achieve the same accuracy level of 92.5%. These findings indicate that the use of Artificial Neural Networks with the Backpropagation algorithm is effective in producing high accuracy in the signature pattern recognition process. Furthermore, the developed system has broad potential applications in the field of personal identification, such as employee evaluation, selection systems, and other applications across various organizational and industrial sectors.

Employee performance is a key factor in determining organizational success in achieving its strategic objectives. Various management studies indicate that employee performance is not solely influenced by individual factors, but is also significantly affected by organizational factors, particularly organizational planning and organizational structure. Effective organizational planning provides a clear direction and strategic framework that guides employees in performing their tasks, while an appropriate organizational structure facilitates coordination, clarifies authority, and supports the efficient execution of work. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational planning and organizational structure on employee performance through a systematic literature review approach. The research method employed is a systematic literature review by examining relevant national and international journal articles published within the last ten years. Data were collected from reputable academic databases to ensure the credibility and relevance of the sources. The selected studies were analyzed qualitatively to identify patterns, relationships, and key findings related to the research variables. The results of the literature review indicate that systematic and well-formulated organizational planning contributes positively to improving goal clarity, work coordination, and employee motivation. Furthermore, an organizational structure that is aligned with organizational strategies plays an important role in clarifying task distribution, authority lines, and overall work effectiveness. The findings also reveal that organizational planning and organizational structure are interrelated and mutually reinforcing in shaping employee performance. This study concludes that the integration of organizational planning and organizational structure is a crucial factor in enhancing sustainable employee performance. The results of this study are expected to provide both theoretical contributions to organizational management studies and practical references for organizations in designing effective management systems.

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload on employee loyalty at the Class I TPI Immigration Office in Jambi, with performance allowance policies acting as a mediating variable. The research employed a quantitative approach involving 88 respondents selected from the total employee population. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using statistical methods to examine both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results indicate that employees generally perceive their workload as being at a moderate level; however, workload has a significant negative effect on employee loyalty. In contrast, performance allowance policies demonstrate a significant positive influence on loyalty. Furthermore, the findings reveal that performance allowance policies partially mediate the relationship between workload and employee loyalty, indicating their role in mitigating the negative impact of workload. These results suggest that effective performance allowance policies can enhance employee loyalty despite increasing workload demands. Therefore, organizations should balance workload management with fair and performance-based compensation policies to maintain employee loyalty.

The influence of self-efficacy, work engagement, and financial compensation is crucial to determine the extent of their impact on employee performance at PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara PG Meritjan. By understanding these relationships, company management can assess how these factors affect employee performance and thereby formulate more targeted human resource planning and development strategies in the future. This study employed a saturated sampling technique, in which the sample consisted of all permanent employees of PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara PG Meritjan, totaling 77 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The results of the analysis indicate that self-efficacy, work engagement, and financial compensation have a significant effect on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. This is evidenced by the multiple linear regression analysis, which shows significance values below 0.05 and a coefficient of determination of 0.677 or 67.7%, indicating that self-efficacy, work engagement, and financial compensation explain 67.7% of the variance in employee performance.

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership (X1), work experience (X2), and social support (X3) on employee performance (Y) at PT Putra Sentosa Mandiri. This research also seeks to determine the partial effects of each independent variable as well as their simultaneous effect on employee performance. The research method used is a quantitative approach with primary and secondary data sources. The sampling technique applied was saturated sampling, in which the entire population was used as the sample, consisting of 34 employees of PT Putra Sentosa Mandiri. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, linearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multicollinearity tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that transformational leadership has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance, work experience has no positive and insignificant effect on employee performance, while social support has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, transformational leadership, work experience, and social support do not have a significant effect on employee performance at PT Putra Sentosa Mandiri.

This study aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) regarding the influence of career development on organizational commitment. Based on the analysis of various scientific articles, career development is an important approach in human resource management, which focuses on improving employees’ skills, enthusiasm, and readiness to face job challenges and promotion opportunities. On the other hand, organizational commitment refers to the emotional connection that employees have with their workplace, which includes aspects of emotional attachment, obligation, and enduring bonds. The results of the systematic literature review indicate that many previous studies have found a strong and positive correlation between career development and organizational commitment. Workers who are aware of support for their career development, including training programs, mentoring, or predetermined career paths, generally show a higher level of dedication to their organization. Furthermore, various studies have shown that career development can also have an indirect effect on organizational commitment through mediating factors such as job satisfaction, work motivation, and employee performance. However, several studies have shown that career development does not always have a significant impact on organizational commitment, particularly in organizations without a structured career system or when employees have negative perceptions of career opportunities. These varying results highlight the existence of contextual factors that influence the relationship between variables. Overall, this study offers in-depth insights into the significance of career development as a strategic factor in enhancing organizational commitment, along with suggestions for organizations and future researchers conducting similar studies.

This study analyzes the effectiveness of installed supervision (Waskat) by the Sub-district Head on the performance of employees at the Bukit Kapur District Office, Dumai City, in the midst of the demands of public service accountability. The background involves local bureaucratic challenges such as resource constraints and employee resistance. Using a qualitative approach with field observation for two weeks (15-29 December 2025), including in-depth interviews with 5 employees and 2 community informants, plus data triangulation from attendance records and performance reports, it was analyzed thematically. The results revealed attendance increased to 95%, absenteeism decreased by 2%, and work output increased from 50 to 65 permit documents each week. Quotes such as "Direct supervision motivates me" (Employee A, 2025) affirm the preventive role of Waskat, despite obstacles such as over-tasking, in line with Fauzan (2024) on civil servant governance. The discussion highlighted Waskat as a tool for local bureaucratic reform. This conclusion affirms the effectiveness of Waskat in improving performance, recommending humanistic and digital adaptation. Policy implications for local governments, with suggestions for future studies using a larger sample.

Transformational leadership has a strong and positive impact on employee performance across various organizational sectors. This leadership style, which is based on four main dimensions—Idealized Influence, Inspirational Motivation, Intellectual Stimulation, and Individualized Consideration plays a very important role in creating a shared vision, driving high internal motivation, and producing positive change. Research shows that this positive influence is often affected by factors such as commitment to the organization, job involvement, and organizational behavior. By encouraging employees to put aside personal interests to achieve collective goals, transformational leaders enhance effectiveness, productivity, and the quality of work outcomes. Bass's theory (1985) states that this leadership style drives performance beyond normal expectations. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the application of transformational leadership style is crucial for organizational management in efforts to improve the quality of human resources. Companies are advised to conduct leadership training that focuses on developing emotional intelligence and visionary communication skills for managers.

This research aims to analyze the influence of job placement, fringe benefits, and work facilities on the performance of employees at Jawa Pos Kediri, both partially and simultaneously. The method used is quantitative with a descriptive and associative approach. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 50 respondents who are employees of Jawa Pos Kediri. The data analysis techniques used include multiple linear regression, t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that both partially and simultaneously, job placement, fringe benefits, and work facilities have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. The R² value of 0.944 indicates that 94.4% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by these three variables, while the remaining 5.6% is influenced by other factors. Therefore, this study emphasizes that appropriate job placement, adequate benefits, and sufficient work facilities are important factors in improving employee performance at Jawa Pos Kediri. Thus, the company management needs to pay more attention to these three aspects to create a productive and sustainable work environment.

Health workers contribute up to 80% to the success of health development. For this reason, effective employee performance management is needed according to service performance for communicable and non-communicable diseases. The aim of this research is to analyze the factors that influence the performance of nurses in health services for non-communicable diseases and infectious diseases at the UPT Puskesmas Kuala, Kuala District, Langkat Regency.The research design used was an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were all 31 nurses with a sample using a total sampling technique of 31 people. The data analysis used is the binary logistic regression test.The research results show that ability has a sig-p value of 0.025, attitude sig-p 0.014, learning sig-p 0.036, motivation sig-p 0.022, leadership sig-p 0.031 and work environment sig-p 0.048, which means it has an influence on nurse performance , while age sig-p 1.000 and perception sig-p 0.496 have no influence on nurse performance. Attitude is the dominant factor with an OR value of 28.446. In conclusion, ability, attitude, learning, motivation, leadership, and work environment influence nurse performance, while age and perception have no effect. Attitude is the most dominant factor influencing nurse performance.

This study aims to analyze the influence of Innovative Work Behaviour, Upskilling, and Work Ethic on the Health Workers Performance with Intention to Stay as an intervening variable at RSUD Sumberrejo. The background of this research stems from challenges in improving service quality, high workload, and the need to strengthen competency and retention among health workers. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method through the distribution of questionnaires, with data analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS version 4.0. The population consists of 216 employees, and the sampling technique used is non-probability sampling, resulting in 140 respondents. The findings reveal that Innovative Work Behaviour, Work Ethic, and Intention to Stay have a significant positive effect on the performance of health workers. In addition, Innovative Work Behaviour and Work Ethic significantly influence Intention to Stay. However, Upskilling shows a positive but non-significant effect on both Intention to Stay and Performance, indicating that skill enhancement requires managerial support and motivation to contribute effectively to employee performance. Intention to Stay serves as a mediating variable in several relationships among the constructs. Strengthening innovative behaviour, work ethic, and competency development, accompanied by appropriate retention strategies, is essential for improving the performance of health workers in regional hospitals. Future studies are recommended to develop the research model by incorporating additional variables that may have stronger effects on Intention to Stay and Performance. This study aims to examine the effect of employee competence, behavioral control, and trust on employee performance at the Bojonegoro District Health Office with Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as an intervening variable. The background of this study is related to the importance of employee performance in achieving public service organizational goals, particularly in the health sector. This study uses an explanatory quantitative method with a Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The research sample consisted of 100 employees at the Bojonegoro District Health Office. The results of the analysis show that the influence of employee competence on employee performance is not significant, but employee competence has a significant influence on OCB. Behavioral control has a significant effect on employee performance, but its effect on OCB is not significant. Trust has a significant effect on OCB, but its direct effect on employee performance does not. OCB is proven to have a significant effect on employee performance. Therefore, OCB plays an important role as a mediator in improving employee performance. This study provides a theoretical contribution by clarifying the relationship between variables in the context of public service-based government organizations. In practical terms, the results of this study are expected to form the basis for recommendations to improve the quality of human resources and develop managerial strategies at the Bojonegoro District Health Office in order to support the effectiveness and efficiency of public services.

This study aims to analyze the influence of work environment and job satisfaction on the performance of warehouse employees at PT J&T Express. Work environment and job satisfaction are important factors that are thought to increase productivity and work efficiency. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach, data collection through questionnaires announced to 100 warehouse employees of PT J&T Express using a purposive sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed using linear multiple regression to test the partial and simultaneous effects of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of the study indicate that work environment and job satisfaction have a significant positive effect on the performance of warehouse employees. This finding indicates that improving the quality of the work environment and job satisfaction can be an effective strategy in improving employee performance at PT J&T Express. This study is expected to provide practical contributions to company management in managing human resources to increase company competitiveness.

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload, leadership style, and compensation on employee performance at PT Ungaran Sari Garment, Semarang Regency. This quantitative research involved 109 respondents selected using the Slovin formula and purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression with SPSS 21. The results show that workload and compensation positively and significantly influence employee performance, while leadership style has no significant effect. Simultaneously, all three variables significantly affect performance. These findings indicate that appropriate workload management and a fair compensation system are vital for improving employee performance.

This study compares the effectiveness of MAUT (Multi-Attribute Utility Theory), SMART (Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique), and WASPAS (Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment) methods in a decision support system for determining the best employees at Sisilia Boutique. The quality of human resources is crucial in the retail business, but performance evaluation is often influenced by subjectivity. To address this, a multi-criteria-based decision support system is needed. MAUT translates preferences into a numerical scale, SMART calculates the average value of attributes based on weights, while WASPAS combines weighted summation (WSM) and weighted multiplication (WPM) for more balanced results. Employee performance data from Sisilia Boutique in June 2025, including attendance, store layout, customer service, and discipline, were used as the research object. The comparison results show consistency in the highest (K3) and lowest (K7) ratings across the three methods, with differences in the middle ratings. WASPAS offers a more balanced distribution of final scores, making it a comprehensive alternative for performance evaluation.

Employee performance is a strategic factor in the success of regional banking organizations that are oriented towards service and achieving business targets. However, empirical evidence at PT Bank Sumut Kantor Cabang Koordinator Medan, indicates that employee performance tends to stagnate in the "Good" category during the 2021–2024 period. This condition is thought to be related to career development that is not yet optimally structured, organizational commitment that has not been fully actualized in work behavior, and inadequate extrinsic motivation. This study aims to analyze the effect of career development and organizational commitment on employee performance through extrinsic motivation as a mediating variable. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of employees at PT Bank Sumut Kantor Cabang Koordinator Medan. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The results show that career development and organizational commitment influence extrinsic motivation, and extrinsic motivation plays a role in improving employee performance and mediating the relationship between variables. These findings strengthen the role of extrinsic motivation as an important mechanism in bridging human resource policies and employee performance in regional banking.

This study aims to identify how e-government and competence affect employee performance at the Jambi City Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency. This study is based on the fact that government agencies need to utilize information technology and improve their human resource capabilities to improve their work efficiency. The method used in this study is quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis techniques used. After the questionnaire was distributed to 54 members of the Jambi City BPPRD, the data were processed using the SPSS version 25 program. The results of the study indicate that e-government partially has a positive and significant influence on employee performance, and competence also partially has a positive and significant influence on employee performance at the Jambi City Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency, and simultaneously, e-government and competence together provide a positive and significant influence on employee performance at the Jambi City Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency.

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline and work motivation on employee performance at Bank Sulutgo Tondano. The research method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The population in this study consists of all 76 employees of Bank Sulutgo Tondano, and the sample was obtained using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that partially, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and work motivation also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, work discipline and work motivation have a significant effect on employee performance, with a coefficient of determination of 44.4%, indicating that these two variables are able to explain the variation in employee performance. Meanwhile, 55.6% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Therefore, it can be concluded that improving work discipline and work motivation will have an impact on employee performance at Bank Sulutgo Tondano.

This study aims to determine the extent to which motivation and work discipline affect employee productivity at CV. Langgeng Jaya. The study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires. The study population includes all 80 employees of CV. Langgeng Jaya, with a sampling technique using Saturated Sampling. Data analysis was carried out through Multiple Linear Regression Tests and Hypothesis Tests with the help of the SPSS 27 program. The results of the study indicate that motivation has a significant influence on employee productivity partially, while work discipline does not have a significant influence. However, simultaneously, motivation and work discipline have been proven to have a significant influence on employee productivity. Therefore, CV. Langgeng Jaya is expected to prioritize increasing employee motivation through targeted programs and conducting evaluations and coaching on work discipline aspects, so that both factors can support each other in increasing overall productivity. This aims so that both factors can support each other in increasing overall employee productivity, creating a more productive work environment, and improving company performance in the long term.
