Islamic education in the global era faces various complex problems and challenges, ranging from conventional teaching methods, varying teacher quality, to curriculum unpreparedness in addressing social and technological dynamics. The globalization of information and culture also significantly influences students’ behavior and identity, requiring digital literacy, critical cultural awareness, and resilience in religious values to remain aligned with Islamic principles. This study employs a library research approach with a descriptive qualitative method, analyzing various books and scientific journals related to Islamic education in the global era. The findings indicate that the problems of Islamic education include the gap between traditional methods and 21st-century needs, teachers’ unpreparedness in using technology, and the lack of integration between religious education and contemporary social contexts. Other challenges involve education management, family and community involvement, and policy-making that responds to global changes. To address these issues, recommended solutions include revitalizing an integrative curriculum that combines Islamic values with 21st-century skills, utilizing technology wisely, enhancing teacher competence, strengthening collaboration between schools, families, and communities, and developing media literacy and inclusive pedagogical approaches. Implementing these strategies is expected to produce students who are competent, adaptive, character-driven, and globally competitive without losing their moral and spiritual identity. These findings contribute to the development of Islamic education that is relevant, adaptive, and sustainable in the global era.

Adolescent mental health is an important aspect in human resource development because it affects learning ability, social relationships, and readiness to face adult life. Adolescence, especially at the junior high school level, is a transitional period that is prone to mental and emotional disorders due to biological, psychological, and social changes that occur simultaneously. This study aims to describe the mental health condition of adolescents using the Self Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20) instrument in students of SMPN 3 Ubud, Gianyar Regency. The study used a descriptive design with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique was carried out in total sampling with a total of 117 students. The research instrument is in the form of an SRQ-20 questionnaire that has been proven to be valid and reliable. Data analysis was carried out descriptively to describe the distribution of symptoms and mental health categories of respondents. The results showed that most students were in the category of good mental health, although there were still a number of students with poor conditions. The most common symptoms are easy to feel tired and difficulty in making decisions. Based on the characteristics of respondents, students aged 13–15 years are more likely to experience poor mental health conditions than 11-13 years old, and the proportion of female students is higher than men in experiencing symptoms of mental emotional disorders. These findings affirm the importance of early detection of adolescent mental health in schools as the basis for promotive and preventive interventions, through optimizing the role of counseling guidance and creating a supportive school environment.

Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior commonly experienced by adolescents and has significant impacts on both physical and mental health. Schools, as primary social environments for teenagers, often become settings where bullying occurs. Several factors contribute to this behavior, particularly peer influence, family roles, and social media use. This study aimed to analyze factors related to bullying behavior among adolescents in a junior high school, including respondent characteristics, peer influence, family roles, and social media usage, as well as their relationships with bullying behavior. This research used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design involving 71 eighth-grade students as respondents. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed with the Chi-Square test. The results showed significant relationships between peer factors (p=0.003), family roles (p<0.001), and social media use (p=0.001) with bullying behavior. A large proportion of respondents reported high social media usage (45.1%) and low family involvement (45.1%), while more than half (53.5%) were categorized as being at risk of engaging in bullying behavior. These findings indicate that adolescents are strongly influenced by their social environment, both offline and online. Negative peer interactions and limited family supervision can increase the likelihood of bullying behavior. In conclusion, peer factors, family roles, and social media use are significantly associated with bullying among adolescents. Therefore, collaboration between families, schools, and communities is essential through psychosocial assessments, increased family involvement, and character education programs to prevent and reduce bullying behavior.

The training on computer network cabling conducted in schools serves not only to enhance students’ technical competencies but also functions as a strategic medium for developing collaborative attitudes, technological independence, and religious social harmony. Based on the community service activities carried out at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Sorong, the training integrated LAN cabling practice, the introduction of network devices, and guided sessions through observation, socialization, practicum, and evaluation. Throughout these stages, students gained direct experience in crimping, attaching RJ-45 connectors, testing cables with LAN testers, and simulating network configurations, which collectively strengthened their technical mastery. From the perspective of the sociology of religion, the training created a shared learning environment where students of diverse religious backgrounds collaborated equally in completing collective technical tasks. Values such as mutual respect, cooperation across differences, and social solidarity were visibly demonstrated as students helped one another in solving cabling-related challenges. Evaluation results indicate that participants became more independent in completing technical tasks and more open in communicating and interacting with peers of different beliefs. These findings emphasize that technology training can serve as a constructive medium for fostering religious social harmony and character building through practical experiences and meaningful social interaction.

This research is based on the problem of declining morals of third-grade students at SD IT Baitul Muslim, which has implications for daily behavior, particularly in Pancasila Education learning. Students tend to exhibit attitudes that are inconsistent with positive character values, such as a lack of tolerance and a low sense of love for the homeland. The purpose of this study is to identify the significant influence of educators' roles in shaping the character of third-grade elementary school students in Pancasila Education subjects. The method used is an ex post facto method with a quantitative approach and a purposive sampling design. The study population consisted of 10 educators and 95 students, with a sample of 10 educators and 40 students from two selected classes. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires and documentation that had been tested for validity using Aiken's V and reliability with Cronbach Alpha. In the era of information and globalization, critical thinking skills have become an essential competence for children, including students in Islamic boarding schools. These skills include the ability to ask questions, seek and evaluate evidence, compare alternatives, and solve problems logically. Islamic boarding schools inherently provide a disciplined environment grounded in religious values that supports the development of critical thinking. However, observations at Raudlatul Hanan Islamic Boarding School reveal several challenges, such as low social sensitivity, limited constructive conflict resolution, and the absence of consistent critical thinking habits. These conditions have the potential to hinder students’ adaptability and problem-solving abilities in the future. To address these issues, a program entitled “Optimizing Children’s Critical Thinking Character through the Internalization of Socio-Environmental Sensitivity Values” was implemented using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. This approach actively involved students, ustadz/ustadzah, and Islamic boarding school administrators from problem identification through planning, implementation, and reflection. The activities included character education seminars, critical discussions, group competitions, and interviews aimed at fostering social sensitivity, reducing exclusive attitudes, and strengthening critical thinking skills from an early age. The results indicate high and enthusiastic student participation throughout all activities, leading both students and administrators to hope that the program will be implemented sustainably on an annual basis.

This study explores the profound impact of teacher personality competence on student character formation through a descriptive narrative lens grounded in the sociology of education. Education is not merely a technical transfer of knowledge but a complex social process where the teacher acts as a pivotal moral agent and role model. By synthesizing classical sociological paradigms—Functionalism, Conflict Theory, and Symbolic Interactionism—with contemporary empirical evidence, this article argues that a teacher's personality is a dynamic social construct that shapes the "hidden curriculum" and the overall school climate. The narrative analysis reveals that traits such as empathy, integrity, and social justice are not just individual attributes but essential tools for moral socialization and the internalization of collective values. The study finds that teachers who embody these virtues foster a sense of social belonging and ethical responsibility in students, effectively bridging the gap between individual identity and societal expectations. The article concludes that strengthening teacher personality competence is a strategic imperative for developing a resilient and morally grounded generation, recommending integrated professional development that emphasizes the teacher's role as a moral authority in the 21st-century social landscape.

The phenomenon of religion-based radicalism remains a serious threat to the sustainability of national and state life, including within educational institutions. Educational institutions hold a strategic role in instilling religious values that are peaceful, tolerant, and civilized. Therefore, religious moderation education has become a vital approach as a preventive measure against radical ideologies. This study aims to examine the role and urgency of religious moderation education as a shield against radicalism in educational institutions. The research method employed is a literature study, analyzing various literatures such as books, scientific articles, and policy documents related to religious moderation and character education. The results show that religious moderation education can instill the values of tawassuth (moderation), tasamuh (tolerance), tawazun (balance), and i‘tidal (justice) in students. These values contribute significantly to forming religious attitudes that are inclusive, humanistic, and non-violent. The implementation of religious moderation education in educational institutions can be achieved through curriculum integration, educator role-modeling, the cultivation of school culture, and the strengthening of contextual religious literacy. Thus, religious moderation education plays a crucial role as an ideological and moral fortress in preventing the entry and growth of radicalism within the educational environment.
