Premarital sexual behavior among adolescents is a reproductive health problem influenced by various internal and external factors. The Health Belief Model (HBM) is used as a framework to understand this behavior, but previous research findings still show varying results. This study aims to analyze the contribution of the Health Belief Model components to premarital sexual behavior among adolescents based on the results of local research for the period 2020-2025. The method used was a literature review of relevant journal articles and scientific papers. The results showed that perceived vulnerability, perceived barriers, self-efficacy, and external cues to action such as media exposure and peer influence were variables that were consistently related to the main/dominant predictors of external cues to action, while perceived severity and perceived benefits showed inconsistent relationships. This study confirms that adolescent premarital sexual behavior is influenced by the interaction between cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental factors, thus requiring comprehensive and contextual reproductive health interventions.

Smoking behavior among adolescents in Indonesia remains a serious public health challenge with increasing prevalence. Adolescence is a vulnerable period where psychological factors and the social environment significantly influence the decision to smoke. This study aims to review the factors influencing smoking behavior among adolescents based on the Health Belief Model (HBM) theoretical framework. This study is a literature review that analyzes various research findings related to the determinants of smoking behavior using HBM components. The analysis shows that all dimensions of HBM play a role in shaping smoking behavior. Self-efficacy and perceived susceptibility were found to be the strongest predictors. Although adolescents have a good perceived severity of the dangers of smoking, they are often hindered by high perceived barriers, such as peer pressure and psychological dependence. Consistent cues to action and perceived benefits are proven to encourage prevention and smoking cessation efforts. Adolescent smoking behavior is strongly influenced by individual beliefs in self-ability and health risks. Health interventions should focus on strengthening self-control and managing social influences to reduce the number of adolescent smokers.

Thick leaf (Glochidion superbum) is a medicinal plant traditionally utilized by the community of East Panjang Island for the treatment of wounds, pain, and ulcers. This research was conducted to isolate the major compounds present in the ethyl acetate fraction of thick leaf and to assess its antioxidant activity using the DPPH method. The plant leaves were first cleaned, dried, and powdered, followed by maceration extraction using methanol, which resulted in an extract yield of 16.42%. The crude extract was fractionated by column chromatography using EtOAc and MeOH eluents with ratios of 9:1 (K1), 4:1 (K2), 1:4 (K3), and 1:9 (K4). UV–Vis spectrophotometric analysis showed an absorption peak at 288 nm, indicating the presence of phenolic compounds, identified as ferulic acid. Antioxidant testing using the DPPH method showed IC₅₀ values for fractions K1, K2, K3, and K4 of 12.981, 5.159, 9.658, and 10.971 µg/mL, respectively, with vitamin C as a positive control (3.563 µg/mL). Fraction K2 showed the strongest antioxidant activity. These results indicate that thick leaf contains ferulic acid with very strong antioxidant activity and has potential as a natural antioxidant source.

Inflammation is a common condition that affects everyone and can affect quality of life. Candlenut leaves (Aleurites moluccanus) are known to contain flavonoid compounds, such as swertisin and 2''-O-rhamnosylswertisin, which are thought to have anti-inflammatory activity. This study aims to test the anti-inflammatory activity of candlenut leaves using four treatment groups, namely positive control (sodium diclofenac), negative control (Na-CMC), n-hexane fraction (200 mg/KgBW), and ethyl acetate fraction (200 mg/KgBW). Leg edema volume measurements were carried out periodically for up to 6 hours using a digital caliper. The results showed that the percentage of edema inhibition in the negative control group reached 64.13%, positive control 38.91%, n-hexane fraction 39.99%, and ethyl acetate fraction 39.82%. Although the ethyl acetate fraction showed better anti-inflammatory activity than the n-hexane fraction, its inhibition percentage was still lower than that of the positive control. These findings suggest that candlenut leaves have potential as a source of anti-inflammatory compounds, particularly the ethyl acetate fraction. Further research is needed to evaluate its efficacy and mechanism of action.

The transition to the remote working era has reached a point of stabilization as a fundamental structure in the 2025 global employment landscape. This systematic literature review aims to evaluate the impact of remote work on employee productivity, mental well-being, and the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration. By analyzing large-scale secondary data (>10,000 participants) from various authoritative databases, the study finds that productivity experienced a net increase of 13% to 22%. The primary driver is the average commute time saving of 72 minutes per day, which is converted into productive work hours. However, findings also indicate a risk of digital burnout in 69% of respondents due to an "always-on" work culture. AI integration has assisted 65% of workers in automating administrative tasks, shifting focus toward strategic work. This research concludes that the success of remote work models requires a shift in leadership style toward trust-based management and formal policies regarding the "right to disconnect.".

This study formulates a design concept for the Beach Tourism Resort Area in Botubarani Village by applying tropical architecture that responds to coastal climatic conditions while enhancing the quality of visitor experiences. The research integrates principles of thermal comfort, environmental sustainability, and the ecological potential of coastal environments as the basis for creating climate-adaptive and environmentally responsive tourism areas. The methodology includes site analysis, field observation, climatological assessment, and a literature review related to tropical architecture and coastal tourism design. The collected data were used to determine building orientation, mass layout patterns, visitor capacity, materials, vegetation, and utility systems appropriate for humid tropical climates. The findings show that the site’s position between the sea and the mountains, combined with full-day sun exposure, requires design strategies that maximize cross-ventilation, utilize sloped roofs, provide natural shading, and apply local materials such as wood, bamboo, and red brick. The large spatial needs based on visitor capacity projections are accommodated through a flexible cluster layout that supports visual and functional connectivity between buildings while incorporating green open spaces to enhance microclimate comfort. The utility system is designed using sustainability principles through greywater–blackwater separation, infiltration wells, and recycling-based waste management. This study confirms that the application of tropical architecture in coastal tourism areas can improve thermal comfort, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability. These findings guide developing tropical tourism area designs that are more adaptive to climate change and more responsive to visitor needs.

This study examines the urgency of institutional transparency in the Secretariat of the Bogor Regency Regional People's Representative Council  (DPRD) amid demands for good governance. The objective is to analyze the strategic role of the Public Relations, Protocol, and Publication Team of the Bogor Regency DPRD Secretariat in disseminating public information, with a focus on the use of the @setwankabbogor Instagram account as an instrument of transparency. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research applies qualitative content analysis and observation of Instagram accounts, supported by organizational documentation related to the main tasks of Public Relations. The communication practices found were analyzed based on the theoretical benchmarks of the Two-Way Symmetrical Model and Organizational-Public Dialogic Communication (OPDC). Preliminary research results show that although Public Relations has been effective in documenting protocol and routine administrative activities, content related to core legislative functions such as the budget (KUA/PPAS) and oversight tends to be less dominant than ceremonial posts. The communication model applied still leans toward the Public Information Model, rather than the optimal Two-Way Symmetrical Model. Analysis shows a deficit in dialogic elements, particularly in genuine responsiveness (mutuality) and proactivity in discussing complex public issues, which has the potential to hinder the development of public trust. Optimization requires a shift in strategy towards evidence-based content planning and a focus on proactive dialogue and responsiveness, supported by institutional commitment and increased human resource capacity.

The Tungku Bokong ritual is a traditional practice of the Manggarai people found in Reok and West Reok Districts, Manggarai Regency. This study aims to analyze the soteriological concept within the ritual, focusing specifically on its implementation in West Reok District. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with customary leaders and a review of relevant literature. The findings reveal that Tungku Bokong literally means “reconnecting the provision (blessing),” referring to an effort to restore the flow of blessings believed to have been disrupted an interruption that is thought to cause life problems such as illness, misfortune, or nightmares. The uniqueness of this ritual lies in its understanding that suffering and life difficulties can become a gateway to blessings or restoration. The central questions guiding this research are how the Tungku Bokong ritual is regarded as an act of attaining salvation for an individual, and what meaning it holds for the people of West Reok District. The study shows that the salvation gained through this ritual is not only material but also involves the restoration of relationships with ancestors and the Creator (Mori Kraeng). Meanwhile, suffering and various life challenges are understood as consequences of a disrupted blessing and as a means of awakening individuals to return to a balanced life.

This study aims to analyze the representation of women in beauty product advertisements on social media, focusing on the Nivea Care & Protect Body Serum advertisement. Beauty advertisements often depict women within specific social constructions related to beauty standards, gender roles, and power relations. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using Sara Mills’ Critical Discourse Analysis, which emphasizes the position of subject (speaker) and object (spoken of) as well as how women are positioned in texts and visuals. Data were collected through documentation of Nivea Indonesia’s official social media posts. The results show that the advertisement not only reproduces the ideal beauty standard identified with fair and well-maintained skin but also positions women as both subjects and objects of consumption. It concludes that while there are efforts toward empowerment, the advertisement still reinforces dominant discourses that strengthen gender stereotypes in the beauty industry.
