Murder committed by children presents a dilemma in the criminal justice system, as it must balance the enforcement of justice with the protection of children's rights. This article examines the problematic nature of juvenile criminal liability in murder by comparing the perpetrator's legal approach to that of adults. Normative juridical research methods are used to explain legal provisions, court decisions, and related doctrines. The results indicate that juvenile offenders are not solely focused on their culpability but also on the child's psychological capabilities, maturity level, and social circumstances. Meanwhile, adult offenders are held fully accountable, with a focus on punishment. The main challenges are the difficulty of proving intent and the need for special mechanisms for handling juvenile offenders of serious crimes. This study provides for strengthening the capacity of law enforcement, improving child rehabilitation facilities, optimizing diversion mechanisms, and educating the public to support humane and proportional protection and enforcement of justice.

Advances in digital technology provide numerous opportunities to improve the quality of education, particularly in Social Studies (IPS) learning at the elementary school level. One important innovation is the use of digital interactive map media that enables students to learn geography in a visual, engaging, and relevant way. However, in practice, IPS learning in elementary schools is still dominated by conventional methods that rely on static printed maps, resulting in low student motivation and suboptimal understanding of geographic concepts, particularly those related to the ASEAN region. This study aims to evaluate the impact of using digital interactive map media on learning motivation and understanding of ASEAN geographic concepts among elementary school students. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach following the PRISMA 2020 procedure. The research findings indicate that consistent use of digital interactive map media can improve students' motivation in learning and their understanding of geographic concepts. Interactive visualizations encourage active engagement and enthusiasm, and help students better understand spatial concepts. Therefore, digital interactive maps can be an innovative and effective social studies learning option that aligns with the principles of the Independent Curriculum and the Pancasila Student Profile.

Moral : Jurnal kajian Pendidikan Islam 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ilmu Pendidikan Agama dan Filsafat Indonesia

This article thoroughly examines Imam Al-Ghazali's views on Islamic education and adab, with an emphasis on a holistic framework that combines knowledge, faith, charity, and morals to form an insān kāmil (perfect human being).  Al-Ghazali, a scholar from Tus, Persia, in the 11th century, defined education as a process of moral development and purification of the soul. The main goal of education is to obtain worldly and spiritual happiness. He opposes the educational paradigm of modern philosophers which focuses only on rationality. He emphasized that knowledge without adab is like fire which has no light.Adab is the main pillar of the educational process and helps children learn noble qualities such as patience, humility and honesty. This is implemented from an early age through spiritual practices such as dhikr and muhasabah.  In his great works, such as Iḥyā' 'Ulūm ad-Dīn, Ayyuhal Walad, and Tahāfut al-Falāsifah, Al-Ghazali combines rationalism with Sufism. He opposed the dichotomy between worldly knowledge (such as medicine and mathematics) and the hereafter, claiming that revelation provides a balance to prevent misguidance. His educational methods, based on internalizing values, examples, and ethical discussions, support the role of teachers as moral and spiritual role models and students as ethical learners. This thinking is highly relevant to modern education, especially in Indonesia, where a character-based curriculum is implemented by the Ministry of Education and Culture and institutions such as the State Islamic University (UIN) use a holistic approach to address the moral crisis caused by technological advancements. The main challenge lies with educators who lack an understanding of Sufism, which requires intensive training.

This research is motivated by several factors such as locally generated revenue, general allocation funds, special allocation funds, revenue-sharing funds, and capital expenditure. Some of the problems identified in this study include the realization of locally generated revenue that has never reached the budget target over four consecutive years, a percentage decrease in locally generated revenue while capital expenditure remains constant, and the absence of certain special allocation funds, which may affect capital expenditure. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of locally generated revenue, general allocation funds, special allocation funds, and revenue-sharing funds on capital expenditure. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method using data samples obtained from the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Aceh Province in the form of Budget Realization Reports for the period 2019–2022. The data analysis technique used is linear regression. The results show that, based on the simultaneous test (F-test), locally generated revenue, general allocation funds, special allocation funds, and revenue-sharing funds have a positive and significant effect on capital expenditure. Meanwhile, based on the partial test (t-test), each of these variables—locally generated revenue, general allocation funds, special allocation funds, and revenue-sharing funds—also has a positive and significant effect on capital expenditure.

Islamic banking is a financial system that operates in accordance with the principles of Islamic law, such as the prohibition of usury (riba), gharar (unlawful betting), and maisir (gambling), as well as the implementation of a profit-sharing mechanism. Islamic banking was born in the 1960s with the founding of Egypt's Mit Ghamr Savings Bank as a pioneer, followed by the establishment of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in 1975. After that, the development of Islamic banking expanded to various countries, particularly in the Middle East, South Asia, and Europe. In Indonesia, Islamic banking institutions officially began operating in 1992 with the establishment of Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI), the first Islamic bank. The industry's development is strengthened by specific regulations, in the form of Law Number 21 of 2008 concerning Islamic Banking, which serves as a primary foundation for strengthening the sector. Currently, Islamic banking in Indonesia is starting to show significant growth thanks to government support, increasing awareness among Muslims, and product and service innovations that are able to compete globally. This historical journey demonstrates that Islamic banking has evolved beyond simply being an alternative option and has become a vital component of a healthy economic system, both nationally and internationally.

This study aims to analyze the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) on the financial performance of mining companies listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII70) for the 2020–2024 period, with the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) as a control variable. The findings show that, partially, the Environmental variable has a positive but insignificant effect on ROA, indicating that efforts in energy efficiency, waste management, and emission reduction have not yet been fully reflected in short-term profitability. In contrast, the Social variable has a significant effect on ROA, emphasizing that companies’ engagement in building stakeholder relationships, protecting employee rights, and implementing social responsibility programs contribute substantially to financial performance. The Governance variable also has a significant effect on ROA, highlighting the importance of good governance practices, transparency, and accountability in enhancing profitability. Meanwhile, the control variable DER shows no significant effect on ROA. Simultaneously, ESG performance has a significant effect on ROA, proving that integrated ESG implementation supports the profitability of mining companies. These findings confirm that ESG is not only a compliance measure with sustainability principles but also a long-term business strategy that strengthens companies’ competitiveness and serves as a crucial consideration for investors in making investment decisions.

The company must be able to make the right policies so that the company can maintain its survival, so that the company can compete with competing companies and gain the trust of consumers. One of the important factors in achieving goals is HR (Human Resources) which has a very important role in determining the success of a company. This research aims to analyze the effect of work-life balance on job satisfaction and employee performance. This type of research uses quantitative research with a questionnaire instrument. The results of descriptive analysis show that all indicators of work-life balance, job satisfaction, and employee performance are in the “Good Enough” category, indicating that respondents' perceptions of work-life balance, job satisfaction, and employee performance still need to be improved. Validity and reliability tests show that the instruments used are valid and reliable. The results of structural model testing show that work-life balance has a significant and strong effect on employee performance (O=0.822; p<0.001) and job satisfaction (O=0.677; p<0.001), while job satisfaction also affects performance (O=0.367; p=0.006). In addition to the direct effect, there is also a significant indirect effect of work-life balance on performance through job satisfaction (O=0.249; p=0.011). Work-life balance improves employee performance, both directly and through increased job satisfaction, so companies are advised to create policies that support work-life balance in order to create a productive and sustainable work environment.

Tax fairness has become a central concern in improving individual taxpayer compliance in Indonesia, particularly amid increasingly complex regulations and declining public trust in fiscal institutions. This study stems from the urgent need to understand how individual taxpayers interpret the notion of tax fairness and how these interpretations shape their willingness to comply. The primary objective is to explore the underlying dimensions of tax fairness procedural, distributive, and interactional and to explain how these dimensions relate to the development of voluntary compliance. Employing an interpretive qualitative approach, this research relies on in-depth interviews with 15 individual taxpayers located in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Medan, selected through purposive sampling. The data were examined using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) to uncover recurring themes and the subjective experiences shared by participants. Findings reveal that perceptions of procedural and interactional fairness exert the strongest influence on compliance behavior, while distributive fairness is often viewed negatively due to perceived inequality in public benefit allocation and the complexity of tax rules. Trust in government and social morality emerge as critical mediators linking fairness perceptions to voluntary compliance. The study contributes theoretically by integrating Equity Theory, Tax Morale Theory, and the Slippery Slope Framework within the Indonesian cultural context, emphasizing that tax fairness forms the moral foundation of voluntary compliance. Practical implications highlight the need for equitable public services, stronger fiscal transparency, and value-based tax education. Future research is encouraged to adopt mixed-methods designs to provide deeper quantitative insights into the relationship between fairness, trust, and tax compliance across diverse social settings.

This research analyzes the dynamics of hegemony and resistance in the Lio indigenous community of Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, focusing on the power practices of mosalaki (traditional elites) and the forms of hidden resistance developed by farming communities. Using an ethnographic approach over four months in Keliwumbu Village, this study combines Antonio Gramsci's concept of hegemony with James Scott's theory of hidden transcripts to understand the complexity of power relations in traditional societies experiencing economic transformation. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with 18 informants, and document analysis, then analyzed using a thematic approach. Findings indicate that the legitimacy of mosalaki power is constructed through three main pillars: genealogical narratives derived from the myths of Lepe and Mbusu, control over customary land encompassing 70% of agricultural land, and ritual authority positioning them as intermediaries with ata mate (ancestral spirits). Hegemonic practices operate through the pire system (customary prohibitions), mandatory nggua rituals requiring offerings, and control over decision-making as evidenced in the coal-fired power plant construction case. However, farming communities have developed hidden resistance in the form of subtle sabotage, passive non-compliance, gossip and informal criticism, and exit strategies through migration and purchase of alternative land. This resistance operates within the same cultural framework as the hegemony it contests, developing alternative interpretations of "true custom" rather than rejecting the traditional system entirely. This research contributes to theoretical understanding of hegemony in non-Western societies and reveals that "local wisdom" discourse can be manipulated to perpetuate structural inequality. Practically, these findings demonstrate the need for more critical approaches in development policies that accommodate internal power dynamics of indigenous communities to prevent reinforcement of local elite domination

Social Studies (IPS) learning in elementary schools has tended to be theoretical and memorization-oriented, resulting in students being less able to connect the material with social and environmental realities. This study aims to examine the implementation of field projects as a contextual learning strategy in understanding the dynamics of humans, places, and the environment at the elementary school level. The research method used is a qualitative approach with literature studies, with data sources in the form of SINTA-indexed national journal articles, reputable international journals, and scientific books published in the last five to ten years. Analysis was carried out through literature selection, content analysis, and synthesis of findings. The results of the study indicate that field projects contribute to improving students' critical thinking skills, spatial understanding, social empathy, and ecological awareness. In addition, direct involvement in observation, interviews, and thematic project creation encourages students to see the relationship between humans, space, and the environment more holistically. The novelty of this study lies in the emphasis on the integration of field projects as an approach to elementary school social studies learning that unites social, geographical, and ecological aspects within the framework of the Independent Curriculum. These findings contribute to the development of project-based social studies learning models as well as practical recommendations for PGSD teachers in integrating field experiences into daily learning.
