Dance education has a strategic role in shaping students' character and developing their creativity and discipline potential from an early age. Amidst the challenges of modern education that tend to emphasize cognitive aspects, arts education is often marginalized, even though art, especially dance, has a major contribution to the formation of personality and the development of students' creative thinking skills and responsible attitudes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of dance education in fostering creativity and discipline in elementary school students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, with data sources coming from books, accredited journal articles, and relevant previous research results. Data analysis was carried out using Miles and Huberman's interactive techniques which include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that dance activities provide a wide space for students to express their ideas and feelings creatively through movement, as well as forming a disciplined attitude through routine practice, group work, and regularity in the performance process. In addition, dance education also contributes to strengthening students' cultural identity and social-emotional abilities. Student learning evaluation is a crucial aspect of measuring the level of understanding and achievement of competencies. Traditional assessments are often limited to quantitative scores, such as exams and assignments, which do not consider other aspects like creativity and deep comprehension. This study aims to develop and implement a Fuzzy Sugeno-based evaluation system for the Interactive Media Design course at the Vocational High School (SMK) level. This method integrates various factors, such as assignment and exam scores, using Fuzzy rules to produce a more comprehensive assessment. The research was conducted using MATLAB software for simulating and implementing the Fuzzy Inference System (FIS). The results demonstrated that the method is effective in providing recommendations and assisting teachers in categorizing student scores. Data analysis revealed that the majority of final student scores fall into the Highly Adequate category. The Fuzzy Sugeno method has proven to be flexible in handling uncertainties and offers a fair, transparent, and holistic solution for evaluations. Therefore, this method is recommended as a valuable tool to enhance the quality of student learning assessments in education.

The low interest and engagement of lower-grade primary school students in literature serve as an important introduction to this study. The aim of this Community Service Program (PKM) was to enhance children’s literary abilities through the use of three innovative media: word cards, short story videos, and descriptive texts. The study employed an experimental method with a pretest–posttest control group design and a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach based on Kemmis & McTaggart (1988), carried out among grades I–III students at SD Katolik Roworeke 2, Ende (approximately 25–30 students per class). Results showed a statistically significant improvement in the experimental group compared to the control group, especially in literary element comprehension and literary appreciation. Word cards enriched vocabulary, story videos increased visual appeal and understanding, while descriptive texts trained literacy and imagination skills. The interactive and contextual learning process proved effective in fostering reading interest, teacher creativity, and students’ literacy enthusiasm. In conclusion, this method is recommended for adoption by Indonesian Language and Literature teachers in lower grades. Future research should expand sample size, include diverse literary works, and explore supporting factors influencing method effectiveness.
