Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are an essential pillar of the Indonesian economy, contributing significantly to employment creation, poverty reduction, and income distribution. However, despite their substantial role, MSMEs continue to face a number of persistent challenges, including limited access to capital, low levels of financial literacy, and inadequate utilization of technology. These barriers hinder their ability to grow, compete, and adapt to rapid economic changes. This study aims to explore and analyze the role of Islamic Financial Institutions (IFIs) in empowering MSMEs within the framework of Sharia principles. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research is based on a comprehensive literature review of scholarly articles, official reports, and other relevant academic sources. The findings reveal that IFIs provide both financial and social contributions to MSMEs. Financially, IFIs channel funds through Sharia-compliant contracts such as mudharabah and murabahah, which allow entrepreneurs to access financing without relying on conventional interest-based systems. Socially, IFIs carry out a redistributive role by managing and disbursing zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf (ZISWAF), while also offering entrepreneurship training, mentoring, and technical assistance. These functions collectively enhance MSMEs’ access to capital, strengthen their managerial and operational capacities, and increase competitiveness in both domestic and global markets. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including the uneven geographical distribution of IFI services, slow adoption of digital technology, and the need for more supportive regulatory frameworks. Strengthening IFIs’ role through policy integration, technological innovation, and collaboration with government and private sectors is essential for maximizing their impact on MSME empowerment. Thus, IFIs not only act as financial intermediaries but also as socio-economic catalysts that support sustainable and inclusive economic development in Indonesia.

This study focuses on examining the relationship between tax planning, deferred tax assets, and deferred tax liabilities on earnings management. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The population of the study consists of manufacturing companies in the food and beverage subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2022–2023. The sample comprises 47 company financial statements obtained through purposive sampling, with secondary data as the main source. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to determine the relationship between the variables under study: tax planning, deferred tax assets, deferred tax liabilities, and earnings management. The results indicate that tax planning and deferred tax liabilities significantly affect earnings management. This suggests that companies can use tax planning strategies to influence reported earnings and manage deferred tax liabilities to achieve desired managerial objectives, such as optimizing tax payments or adjusting earnings levels. However, deferred tax assets do not show a significant impact on earnings management, which may be due to other factors not observed in this study, such as internal company policies or different approaches to managing tax assets. Simultaneously, the findings confirm that all three variables have an impact on earnings management, contributing 10.3%. The remaining 89.7% of the impact comes from other factors not covered in the scope of this research, such as macroeconomic factors, government policies, or even the varying accounting practices of different companies. These findings provide valuable insights into how tax management influences earnings management and open opportunities for further research to better understand other variables that may affect corporate earnings management practices.

The emergence of various commonwealths, alliances, and other forms of inter-state organizations has significantly influenced the course of existing international cooperation. Cooperation between countries serves not only as a platform for strengthening political and social relations but also as a key element in meeting domestic needs that cannot be met independently through a country's self-help programs. Therefore, international cooperation is an aspect that is continuously maintained and strengthened by countries worldwide. Historically, cooperative relations between countries have generally developed as a result of the increasing ties that have existed over time. This dynamic involves various sectors, including economics, trade, and investment, further demonstrating the crucial role of international relations in a country's progress. Countries involved in this cooperation benefit each other, both in meeting domestic needs and in increasing their economic capacity through innovation and collaboration. The data sources for this study were obtained from documents obtained through internet media, which were then processed and analyzed to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of international cooperation. This study uses a quantitative approach, focusing on the analysis of investment flows into the country. Increased investment flows will drive higher growth in goods production, which in turn will strengthen trade activities, including exports to destination countries such as China. Furthermore, increased investment also contributes to the growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in developing countries. This GDP increase will positively impact Indonesia's trade balance, particularly with China, one of its major trading partners in the Asian region.

Reservoir heterogeneity has long been recognized as a critical factor influencing the efficiency of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods. Among the techniques applied, cyclic waterflooding is considered one of the promising approaches due to its relatively simple operational design and potential to improve sweep efficiency. This method involves alternating water injection in specific cycles to mobilize trapped oil and redistribute reservoir pressure. However, the variation in geological properties such as porosity, permeability, and fluid saturation creates challenges in achieving uniform displacement, especially in reservoirs with high heterogeneity. Understanding the role of heterogeneity is therefore crucial for optimizing cyclic waterflooding applications. This study applies a literature review approach by synthesizing findings from previous experimental and field studies that evaluated cyclic waterflooding under different reservoir conditions. The analysis compares the performance of cyclic water injection periods across reservoirs characterized by varying levels of heterogeneity. Parameters such as injection rate, water breakthrough time, and oil recovery factor were considered in evaluating the effectiveness of this method. The results highlight that reservoirs with high heterogeneity often experience uneven fluid distribution, leading to early water breakthrough and reduced oil recovery. In contrast, reservoirs with relatively low heterogeneity tend to respond better to cyclic waterflooding, resulting in improved sweep efficiency and higher incremental recovery. Moreover, the optimization of cycle timing and water injection intervals appears to significantly mitigate the negative effects of heterogeneity. In conclusion, the study emphasizes that reservoir heterogeneity plays a decisive role in determining the success of cyclic waterflooding. Tailoring injection strategies based on geological variability is essential to maximize recovery efficiency. Future research should focus on integrating advanced reservoir characterization techniques with adaptive cyclic flooding models to further enhance oil production outcomes.

In manufacturing industries, machining processes play a critical role in ensuring product quality, precision, and production efficiency. However, in the production of swing arm parts, the machining process has been identified as a bottleneck due to its non-optimal cycle time. One of the main issues contributing to this inefficiency is the disorganized handling of circlip inner parts. These components are often scattered without a designated placement system, which creates significant difficulties for operators when retrieving and installing circlips onto the swing arm. Such abnormalities disrupt workflow continuity, extend production time, and reduce overall productivity. To address this challenge, a circlip feeder machine was designed as a supporting device to assist operators and streamline the machining process. The design emphasizes efficiency, integration, and systematic operation by utilizing readily available workshop materials. The developed feeder machine is equipped with a robust frame construction and has a storage dimension capable of accommodating up to 200 circlips. In addition, mechanical analysis demonstrates that the feeder structure can withstand a maximum applied force of 31,475 N, ensuring durability and reliability during operation. The introduction of this circlip feeder machine directly impacts the production process by reducing operator workload, minimizing delays caused by disorganized parts, and ensuring faster and more accurate installation of circlips. Consequently, the overall machining cycle time is shortened, thereby improving production flow and enhancing the efficiency of swing arm part manufacturing. Beyond immediate time savings, the use of the feeder machine contributes to better resource utilization, reduced ergonomic strain on operators, and improved consistency in product quality. This study highlights the significance of simple yet effective mechanical innovations in overcoming production bottlenecks and optimizing manufacturing processes in automotive component industries.

The development of automotive technology drives innovation in vehicle support components, including the continuously variable transmission (CVT) system, which plays a crucial role in transmitting engine torque and power to the wheels. One of the main elements in this system is the clutch lining and clutch housing, whose performance significantly impacts motorcycle performance. However, the standard pattern on these components is often not optimal in maximizing power delivery. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the effect of modifying the grooves of the clutch lining and clutch housing on engine torque in a 110 cc motorcycle. The research method used an experimental approach by varying the modification pattern on the clutch lining and clutch housing. The test motorcycle with a capacity of 110 cc was tested using a dyno test to measure torque and power at various engine speeds. Each modification variation was then compared with standard conditions to evaluate the resulting performance differences. The results showed that the pattern modifications on the clutch lining and clutch housing significantly increased torque. Several modification variations were able to significantly increase torque at medium to high speeds, thus providing better engine response and more efficient power delivery. Thus, this research contributes to the development of more optimal CVT component designs and has the potential to improve motorcycle performance, especially in the small capacity vehicle segment.

Efficient management of patient queues is essential in healthcare systems to ensure timely care, optimize resource utilization, and enhance patient satisfaction. Mathematical programming, particularly when applied in conjunction with queuing theory and optimization models, provides a rigorous framework for analyzing and improving healthcare service delivery. This approach involves modeling arrivals and service processes, applying queuing models (such as single-server, multi-server, and priority queues), and formulating optimization objectives—often to minimize total costs, patient waiting times, or resource idling. Recent research demonstrates that combining queuing theory with mixed-integer programming and simulation techniques enables healthcare managers to allocate resources dynamically, set staffing levels, and assign priorities among different patient categories. For example, the use of mixed-integer programming can determine the optimal number of servers, beds, and service rates based on patient flow and priority needs, striking a balance between reducing waiting times for critical cases and controlling operational costs. These mathematical models also account for practical constraints and stochastic variability inherent in clinical settings. Applications span emergency departments, outpatient clinics, and even pharmacy and blood service centers—showing significant improvements in system efficiency, reduced patient wait times, and enhanced overall care quality. Thus, mathematical programming is a powerful decision-support tool for queue management, offering evidence-based strategies to address congestion and resource allocation challenges in complex healthcare environments.

Well water is still one of the main sources of daily water supply for the residents of the Candi Muaro Jambi area. The dependence on well water makes it vital for consumption, cooking, and other domestic activities. However, with the increasing human activity, the development of tourist areas, and environmental changes in the surrounding area, the quality of the well water is at risk of being affected. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of well water from an environmental and health perspective based on physical, chemical, and biological parameters, referring to the clean water quality standards set by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method, with well water samples taken from several points around the residential areas in the Candi Muaro Jambi region. The analyzed parameters include temperature, color, odor, turbidity, pH, nitrate content, metal content (Fe and Mn), and the presence of coliform bacteria. Laboratory test results show that most of the well water samples still meet the established physical and chemical standards, but some wells were found to have coliform levels exceeding the recommended threshold. This condition indicates contamination, most likely from domestic waste, particularly from household sanitation systems that are not ideally located relative to the wells. While the well water in the study area is generally still suitable for daily use, it is recommended that the community performs simple water treatment, such as boiling or filtration, before direct consumption. These measures are crucial to reduce contamination risks and ensure the water's quality for safe consumption and health.

The widespread use of digital images, driven by low-cost, handheld acquisition devices, has increased the need for robust security measures to safeguard privacy. This demand is further underscored by rising identity theft and other image-related crimes. This study presents a chaos-based experimental evaluation of contemporary image encryption algorithms. Owing to intrinsic properties such as sensitivity to initial conditions and pseudo-randomness, chaos theory has become increasingly prominent in image encryption. Five chaos-based image encryption schemes were selected and applied to a dataset of 26 color images. The evaluation covers both encryption performance and cryptographic security. Decryption quality is measured using Mean Squared Error (MSE), Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity Index (SSIM), and DeepEns. Cryptographic security is assessed using entropy, correlation coefficient, Number of Pixel Change Rate (NPCR), Unified Average Changing Intensity (UACI), average and maximum deviation, and histogram analysis. Experimental results indicate that all evaluated schemes demonstrate strong cryptographic security and comparable encryption performance, with broadly similar effectiveness across methods.
