This study focuses on analyzing the efficiency of water usage during ablution in mosques, aiming to identify the factors causing inefficiency and propose solutions aligned with sustainability and Islamic values. Ablution is essential for Muslim prayer, yet modern mosques often neglect water efficiency, leading to waste and high operational costs. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining observations, water discharge measurements, and surveys from 35 congregants at an urban mosque. The results showed an average ablution water consumption of 2.47 liters per person, with significant variation, primarily due to faucet usage behaviors. The survey also revealed that 45.71% of participants viewed water use as inefficient, with mixed responses regarding the implementation of automatic faucets. These findings underscore that water conservation cannot be achieved solely through technical solutions like sensor faucets or water recycling systems. Instead, it requires integrating Islamic values and education to encourage behavioral change among mosque-goers. By promoting awareness and responsible water use, mosques can become role models in environmental conservation. This study highlights the importance of combining technical engineering solutions with spiritual values, contributing to a more sustainable and efficient use of resources in mosque facilities while adhering to Islamic principles.

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a medical condition that requires renal replacement therapy such as hemodialysis. Patient compliance with this therapy is essential to prevent complications and maintain quality of life. Patient motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, plays a significant role in determining the level of compliance. This study aims to examine the relationship between patient motivation and compliance with hemodialysis treatment in CKD patients at RSI PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan. This research uses a quantitative correlational design with purposive sampling, involving 67 respondents from a population of CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis, with an average of 80 patients per month. The instruments used were patient motivation questionnaires and hemodialysis compliance questionnaires. The results showed that most respondents had good motivation (74.6%) and positive compliance (76.1%). Bivariate analysis using the Spearman Rank test revealed a significant relationship between motivation and compliance (p = 0.000) with a strong correlation (r = 0.685). This study suggests nursing interventions that focus on enhancing patient motivation to support long-term therapy success. The limitations of this study include the cross-sectional design, which cannot prove causal relationships, and the potential social bias in the self-report instruments.

This study examines the phenomenon of hoax news dissemination through the social media platform TikTok and its impact on Generation Z in Tanjung Pinang. The background of this research is based on the increasing intensity of TikTok usage among young people, making the platform not only a source of entertainment but also an alternative channel of information. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, using in-depth interviews with ten respondents selected through purposive sampling. The findings reveal that although most members of Generation Z are aware of hoaxes, their ability to verify information remains limited, making them easily influenced by provocative viral content. The most common hoaxes encountered are related to political, health, and social issues, which may lead to public unrest and shape public perception. This study highlights the importance of digital literacy as the main defense against the flood of information in the new media era, as well as the need for collaboration among government, educational institutions, and society to strengthen critical awareness in the use of social media.

This study aims to analyze and compare legal protection for parties in a sale and purchase agreement based on the Civil Code (KUHPer) and Islamic law, using the fiqh muamalah approach. A sale and purchase agreement is a very common legal transaction in everyday life, so it is important to ensure legal certainty and justice for all parties involved. The research method used is normative-comparative with literature study techniques, which allows researchers to examine the differences and similarities in legal protection in both legal systems. The results show that in civil law, there is an emphasis on the principle of freedom of contract which gives space for the parties to determine the contents of the agreement according to their wishes, as long as it does not violate applicable laws and regulations. The formal form of the agreement is also an important aspect of legal protection, with regulations regarding default and fulfillment of performance that give the injured party the right to obtain compensation or fulfillment actions in accordance with the agreement. Meanwhile, Islamic law emphasizes the aspect of the lawfulness of the object of the sale and purchase, which must meet certain conditions for the transaction to be considered valid. Furthermore, in Islamic law, the consent or voluntary agreement of both parties is a primary requirement for a valid sale and purchase agreement to conform to the principles of substantial justice. While these two approaches differ philosophically and normatively, they share the same goal of protecting the rights and obligations of the parties involved in the sale and purchase agreement, thereby creating a fair transaction that does not disadvantage either party. The differences in approach between civil law and Islamic law are also evident in the dispute resolution mechanisms.

value of the bankruptcy estate (boedel pailit) through the going concern principle. Law No. 37 of 2004 concerning Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (UUK-PKPU) allows curators to continue the debtor’s business, particularly under Article 179 paragraph (1). However, the absence of clear normative parameters creates legal uncertainty and inconsistent practices. This study analyzes the application of the going concern principle in the settlement of bankruptcy estates following the annulment of homologated composition agreements and examines the urgency of technical implementing regulations. Using a normative juridical method supported by statutory analysis, court decisions, legal doctrines, and interviews, the research focuses on the cases of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk. (Sritex) and PT Texmaco Perkasa Engineering Tbk. The findings reveal that going concern implementation depends not only on legal provisions but also on non-legal factors, such as transparency, asset control, capital availability, management credibility, and creditor support. Texmaco’s case shows approval when these conditions are met, while Sritex demonstrates rejection due to lack of transparency and unlawful activities. The study underscores the need for a Supreme Court Regulation (PERMA) that establishes eligibility parameters, approval mechanisms, reporting obligations, and curator protection to ensure consistency, legal certainty, creditor protection, and greater economic benefits in Indonesian bankruptcy practice.

The Fangowai and Fame’e Afo traditions are important parts of Nias traditional wedding ceremonies, rich in symbolic and social values. However, modernization, time efficiency, and economic pressures have influenced their implementation. This study aims to describe the social dynamics in the implementation of Fangowai and Fame’e Afo in three villages in Botomuzoi District: Hiligodu, Ononamolo Talafu, and Lasara, with a focus on changes in the form of the procession, causal factors, and the transformation of symbolic meaning. The approach used is descriptive qualitative through observation and in-depth interviews with community leaders. customs, society, and youth, as well as field documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, and their validity was tested through source triangulation. The results showed a simplification of the time and stages of the procession, a reduction in the number of traditional figures, and an adjustment of the number of sacrificial pigs to reflect economic capacity. Symbolic transformation also occurred with the addition of cigarettes to the Bola Nafo ceremony, but the meaning of betel as a symbol of respect and brotherhood was maintained. These changes reflect the adaptation of the Nias people to the modern social context without losing the core values of tradition.

This study aims to analyze the role of Sio as an intermediary in traditional Nias marriage ceremonies in Ononazara Village, Tugala Oyo District, North Nias Regency. The focus is directed toward how the Sio positions himself within the customary social arena and how social, cultural, and symbolic capital serve as the foundation of his legitimacy and authority. The research problem arises from the phenomenon of social change, where the authority of parents and traditional leaders, once dominant, is now shared with the presence of the Sio as a central mediator. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, validated by triangulation of sources, methods, and theories. Data analysis uses Pierre Bourdieu’s concepts of social capital and social arena to reveal the dynamics of power relations in customary practices. The findings indicate that the Sio is not merely a spokesperson but a key actor who maintains harmony, mediates Böwö (bridewealth) negotiations, and ensures effective communication between families. His position is shaped by kinship networks, deep knowledge of customs and ritual language, and social reputation. In the context of modernization, the Sio functions as both a cultural conservator and adaptive mediator who balances economic and symbolic dimensions in traditional Nias marriages.

This study aims to analyze the representation of character values within the Eight Dimensions of Graduate Profiles aligned with the vision of the Pancasila Student Profile in Amalia Najichah’s poems from the anthology Surat dari Samudera (Letters from the Ocean). The research employs a qualitative approach using content analysis, complemented by stylistic and literary reception theories. The data consist of six poems analyzed based on eight character dimensions: Faith and Piety to God Almighty, Citizenship, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Independence, Health, and Communication. The findings reveal that all poems reflect these character values, with Citizenship and Collaboration as the most dominant dimensions. Stylistic analysis shows that the use of repetition, metaphor, and onomatopoeia not only enhances aesthetic quality but also reinforces moral and social messages. Meanwhile, reception theory analysis indicates that young readers can internalize these values cognitively, affectively, and socially through reflective and contextual reading experiences. The study concludes that youth poetry has strong potential as an effective medium for character education in the Merdeka Curriculum, both in intracurricular and co-curricular contexts. Therefore, Amalia Najichah’s works serve not only as aesthetic expressions of adolescence but also as strategic instruments for shaping a faithful, independent, collaborative, and Pancasila-oriented generation.

This study aims to identify words that contain lexical ambiguity, explore their meanings, and classify them in the children’s book Amelia Bedelia by Herman Parish. The data were collected from the Amelia Bedelia Chapter Books series, which consists of twelve books published between 2013 and 2018. The analysis identified a total of 58 words with lexical ambiguity, including 46 instances of polysemy and 12 of homonymy. The classification of polysemy and homonymy is based on the semantic relatedness or unrelatedness between the multiple meanings of each word. The Amelia Bedelia stories effectively illustrate how children perceive and react to lexical ambiguity through the main character, Amelia, who is known for her literal interpretations of figurative language. This literal understanding often leads to humorous situations. Lexical ambiguity in these books functions not only as a source of entertainment but also as a valuable linguistic learning tool. Therefore, the stories contribute to language development in early childhood readers.

The rapid expansion of digital platforms in higher education has paved the way for Virtual Exchange (VE) as a viable alternative to traditional student mobility programs. VE leverages online technologies to connect university students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds, enabling cross-cultural communication and global collaboration without the financial and geographical barriers associated with physical exchanges. Despite its potential, challenges remain regarding student engagement, technological limitations, and reduced immersion compared to face-to-face interactions. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of VE in fostering intercultural awareness and teamwork skills among university students. A mixed-method approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys to measure intercultural competence and collaboration with qualitative interviews to explore students’ experiences in depth. The findings indicate that VE contributes significantly to the development of intercultural understanding, digital literacy, and teamwork, with students reporting enhanced awareness of cultural diversity and improved adaptability in online collaboration. Visual and statistical analyses highlight clear patterns in how VE facilitates skill development, while qualitative data emphasize both the benefits and obstacles students encounter, such as managing time zone differences and cultural nuances. The study concludes that VE represents an inclusive and scalable educational approach that complements traditional exchange programs, offering broader access to global learning opportunities while addressing issues of equity and accessibility. However, its limitations suggest that VE should be integrated strategically, potentially through hybrid models that balance virtual and physical mobility to maximize its impact.
