Shodaqoh in the perspective of Islamic law is a noble act that contains social and spiritual values. In this study, shodaqoh is understood as a gift made sincerely to help others, either in the form of wealth, energy, or attention and without any reward. In the review of Islamic law, shodaqoh is classified into four categories, namely obligatory, sunnah, makruh, and haram. Obligatory shodaqoh applies under certain conditions, such as the obligation to pay zakat or provide assistance to those in dire need. Meanwhile, sunnah shodaqoh is recommended as a form of voluntary kindness, and makruh and haram shodaqoh are related to certain circumstances, such as bad intentions or non-halal sources of wealth. This research uses a normative method with a literature approach, which aims to examine the arguments from the Qur'an and Hadith as well as the views of scholars regarding the principles of shodaqoh management in accordance with Islamic law.

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using the lecture method to enhance students’ comprehension of Ottoman Turkish History in class VIII at SMPN 1 Telagasari. The primary issue identified is the students' low grasp of historical content, which tends to be chronological and information-heavy. The study adopts a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted in two cycles, each comprising planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection phases. Data collection was done using a 20-item multiple-choice test and analyzed quantitatively. Findings revealed that only 10% of students passed in the pre-cycle with an average score of 25, increasing to 40% in the first cycle with an average score of 35, and reaching 45% in the second cycle with an average score of 45. Despite the incremental improvements, the outcomes did not meet the minimum success criteria (≥75% of students achieving the passing score). This indicates that the lecture method alone has limitations in significantly enhancing students’ understanding unless integrated with more interactive teaching strategies.

Ikhwan al-Shafa, with their rational-religious school, emphasizes the importance of logic, observation, and dialectics in acquiring knowledge. Ibn Khaldun, as a representative of the pragmatic school, emphasizes education that is oriented towards social contribution and based on reality. This article analyzes the fundamental differences and contemporary relevance of these three schools, showing that an ideal Islamic education is one that can unite the three schools within the framework of an adaptive and responsive curriculum.

Zakat is one of the pillars of Islam that must be carried out by Muslims who have met certain requirements. Zakat management is very important so that its distribution is right on target and can realize social justice. In the authentic hadith narrated by Imam Bukhari and Muslim, zakat is managed by amil who is responsible for distributing it to eight groups of recipients. In Indonesia, zakat management is also regulated in Law No. 23 of 2011. Articles 1, 2, and 5 of the law explain the definition of zakat, management principles, and authorized institutions. This article examines the conformity between the principles of zakat management in the hadith and the law, and how the two can support each other for effective zakat management in accordance with sharia.

This article examines the foundational role of traditional methods in Arabic language instruction by exploring classical pedagogies rooted in Islamic educational heritage. Amid the rising dominance of modern and communicative approaches, a critical reassessment of historical methods—such as imlāʾ, talqīn, qirāʾah jahrīyah, ḥifẓ, and tarjamah—is necessary to understand their pedagogical strengths, limitations, and philosophical underpinnings. This study employs a reflective literature-based method that draws upon classical Islamic texts, modern comparative analyses, and recent academic contributions to reconstruct the theoretical framework of traditional instruction. Findings reveal that while classical methods emphasized memorization, authority, and textual mastery, they also embodied a coherent epistemology centered on ethical formation (adab), teacher–student transmission (taqlīd), and spiritual-intellectual integration. These methods were not only instructional techniques but were embedded within broader ontological and axiological assumptions about knowledge, language, and human development. The study argues that rather than being entirely outdated, elements of traditional pedagogy remain relevant and can be selectively integrated into modern educational models to balance structure with creativity, discipline with dialogue. By critically reviewing classical pedagogies, this article contributes to the discourse on Arabic language curriculum reform, especially in Islamic institutions seeking to preserve identity while engaging contemporary educational challenges

Celebration is part of human emotional expression that is often carried out in various forms, ranging from personal celebrations to collective moments such as the success of a sports team or major religious holidays. This article aims to examine the phenomenon of celebration from the perspective of the hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW, by reviewing several narrations related to expressions of joy, forms of celebrations, and the Shari'ah limits in their implementation. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive method with a thematic approach to relevant hadiths, both from the nine canonical collections and the commentary books. The study results show that Islam does not prohibit forms of celebration as long as they do not contain elements of sin, violate Sharia norms, or imitate traditions that contradict Islamic teachings.Hadiths show that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself did not deny expressions of joy as long as they were done within reasonable and meaningful limits. Therefore, celebrations in Islam are considered a means of expressing legitimate gratitude and happiness, as long as they are conducted in accordance with true Islamic values.
