This Community Intervention activity aims to optimize the identity of Ujung Piring Village through place branding, which includes creating a village logo, profile video, and designing a site plan for the village square. The main problems faced by the village are the lack of a strong visual identity to optimise its potential and structured planning of village space/facilities. The methods used in the village site plan development activity were observation, interviews, and focus group discussions (FGDs). The results of the activity showed that the village logo successfully represented local values and history symbolically; the profile video was an effective medium for public communication; and the village square site plan provided direction for the development of a functional, aesthetic public space that supports social interaction. This activity proves that place branding can strengthen village identity, increase community engagement, and open up opportunities for village economic development. Further evaluation and monitoring are needed to assess the long-term impact of the implementation of this work program.

Public speaking is an essential communication skill that plays a crucial role in enhancing self-confidence, delivering ideas effectively, and fostering social participation. However, many women in rural areas still lack opportunities to develop this skill due to limited access to training, gender stereotypes, and minimal experience in public forums. These challenges lead to low levels of women’s involvement, particularly housewives who are members of PKK, in community activities and decision-making processes at the local level. This study aims to examine the impact of public speaking training on improving the knowledge, self-confidence, and social participation of PKK mothers in Nagari Sumpur Kudus. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a participatory approach through interactive lectures, speaking practice simulations, reflective discussions, participatory observations, and qualitative evaluations. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing based on field notes, observations, and participants’ feedback. The findings indicate that the training successfully improved participants’ understanding of basic public speaking techniques, including intonation, eye contact, body language, and structured idea delivery. Furthermore, the participants experienced significant growth in self-confidence, courage to speak in front of groups, and motivation to continuously practice their communication skills. The interactive and supportive learning atmosphere also strengthened collaboration and solidarity among PKK members. Thus, public speaking training not only enhances individual competencies but also contributes to women’s empowerment and their active participation in community development at the village level.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a life-threatening disease caused by the dengue virus, which consists of four serotypes: DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4. Laboratory examinations supporting DHF diagnosis include complete blood count, urine analysis, serological tests, and viral identification using Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). Prevention efforts focus on eliminating Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae through the implementation of 3M Plus, as well as using mosquito bite prevention products such as aromatherapy candles that are simple and practical for community use. Mancasan Baki Village, Sukoharjo, has experienced a high incidence of dengue cases, including fatalities, highlighting the need for community education on the genetic characteristics and molecular diagnostics of the dengue virus and preventive measures using innovative products. Educational activities were conducted through community presentations and demonstrations on making aromatherapy candles. The effectiveness of the program was measured by comparing participants’ knowledge before and after the intervention. The average pretest score was 6.63, which increased to 8.89 in the posttest. Statistical analysis using a t-test showed a significant difference (p < 0.05). Participant satisfaction results indicated that 64.5% rated the program as good, 32.5% as very good, and 3% as fairly good.

This research describes the role of the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) in community empowerment in Mojopuro Village, Jatiroto District, Wonogiri Regency. The background of this study lies in the condition of the UPZ, which had been established yet was not optimal in its management and functional capacity for zakat administration. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through observations, interviews with BAZNAS and mosque administrators, as well as documentation of seminars and the inauguration of zakat administrators. The findings reveal that the establishment and inauguration of the UPZ by BAZNAS marked the beginning of strengthening village-level zakat institutions. Seminars for mosque administrators improved their understanding of zakat management in accordance with Islamic law and fostered collective awareness of the importance of zakat for economic empowerment. The UPZ plays a role in identifying mustahik, managing funds transparently, and distributing them through community-based productive programs. The UPZ, guided by BAZNAS, holds a strategic role in reinforcing the zakat management system at the village level and has the potential to become an effective instrument for community economic empowerment.

This study examines the role of officially appointed amil zakat in enhancing transparency and accountability in zakat governance in Mojopuro Village, Wonogiri Regency. Prior to this initiative, Mojopuro had no Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ), resulting in zakat practices that were traditional, undocumented, and lacking institutional oversight. Through a series of mentoring activities and seminars conducted from 8–18 September 2025, capacity-building efforts were directed toward prospective amil zakat, village officials, and religious leaders, focusing on zakat regulations, principles of transparency, and both vertical and horizontal accountability. The implementation methods included material delivery, group discussions, and consultative sessions, which ultimately led to the formal appointment of official amil zakat by the Wonogiri Regency BAZNAS. The findings demonstrate that the presence of official amil significantly improved the structural management of zakat, enhanced participants’ understanding of transparency and accountability, and strengthened coordination among amil, village administrators, and religious figures. These results indicate that village-based institutional mentoring can foster a transformative shift from traditional zakat practices toward professional, transparent, and accountable governance. This study thus offers a community-based empowerment model that can be replicated in other villages to improve zakat distribution effectiveness and build public trust in formal zakat institutions.
