The Community-Based Drinking Water and Sanitation Provision Program (PAMSIMAS) aims to increase access to clean water and proper sanitation in rural areas. However, the implementation of this program in several villages, including in Lubuk Ulak Village, Muara Pinang District, Empat Lawang Regency, still faces various challenges. This research aims to evaluate the PAMSIMAS development policy in the village, focusing on the effectiveness of implementation, the challenges faced, and its impact on the local community. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies related to the implementation of PAMSIMAS. The collected data was analyzed thematically to find patterns relevant to the research objectives. The results show that although PAMSIMAS has succeeded in providing clean water infrastructure, there are still problems in terms of water resource management, community participation, and facility sustainability. Lack of technical training for local managers and weak coordination between stakeholders led to the insustainability of programs at the village level. In conclusion, PAMSIMAS in Lubuk Ulak Village needs improvements in planning, community involvement, and institutional capacity strengthening. Further research is needed to explore the sustainability of the program and the active role of communities and governments in sustainable clean water management.

Inquiry learning strategy is an educational approach that places students at the center of the learning process by encouraging them to actively seek, discover, and conclude knowledge through questioning, observing, and critically analyzing. In this strategy, students are not passive recipients of information from the teacher but are directly involved in learning activities that demand critical and analytical thinking skills. Through inquiry learning, students develop critical thinking abilities by engaging in stages such as problem formulation, hypothesis development, data collection, and drawing conclusions based on observations and analysis. This approach has been proven effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills as it promotes active and independent participation in learning, while also boosting motivation and self-confidence. The teacher acts as a facilitator who guides and motivates students to sharpen their critical thinking skills in solving problems systematically and logically. Thus, inquiry learning strategy not only enriches students’ understanding of the subject matter but also equips them with essential thinking skills to face future life and learning challenges.

Teachers are one of the important elements in education in organizing educational achievements as mandated by the Constitution. Education as a conscious and planned effort to realize the learning process in order to develop potentials certainly requires teachers as facilitators and even the main component of the education process itself. The existence of teachers is also inseparable from the government's policy space. Qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis techniques aim to describe and summarize the phenomena studied through data collection from various sources, such as interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The policy of appointing honorary teachers to become ASN through the P3K scheme is basically a positive step that provides hope and recognition for educators who have served for a long time.

Fever is a condition characterized by an increase in body temperature as a response to infection or inflammation, and it is one of the most common clinical symptoms in various diseases. The excessive use of synthetic antipyretics such as paracetamol can lead to side effects; therefore, safer and natural-based alternatives are needed. This study aims to determine the antipyretic activity of betel leaf and to compare its effectiveness with that of paracetamol. This research was conducted using an experimental laboratory method with a completely randomized design. The test subjects were male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) of the Wistar strain, induced with fever using a 20% yeast suspension. The rats were divided into five groups: negative control, positive control (paracetamol), and three treatment groups with low, medium, and high doses of the extract. Body temperature was measured every 30 minutes for 180 minutes after treatment. The data were statistically analyzed using one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey's post hoc test. The results showed that the [plant extract] exhibited significant antipyretic activity (p < 0.05) compared to the negative control, especially at medium and high doses. The effectiveness of the highest dose was comparable to that of paracetamol. This antipyretic effect is presumed to be associated with the presence of flavonoids and tannins that may inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), a key mediator in the fever response. In conclusion, betel leaf has potential as an effective natural antipyretic agent and may be developed as a safer herbal-based alternative for fever treatment.

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world, with the incidence rate continuing to increase every year. Conventional treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy often have limitations, especially related to selectivity towards cancer cells and toxic side effects caused to normal cells. Therefore, an alternative approach that is more effective and safe is needed. One promising approach is the utilization of bioactive compounds from natural materials that are optimized through a medicinal chemistry approach. This study aims to examine the potential of natural compounds such as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) from green tea, berberine from Berberis vulgaris, curcumin from turmeric (Curcuma longa), and cardiotonic steroids (CTS) from Digitalis purpurea and Nerium oleander as anticancer agents, as well as their optimization strategies through structural modification, increased stability, and modern delivery technology. The method used is a systematic literature review of scientific articles from 2020 to 2025 obtained through the PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases. The results of the study indicate that these compounds have various anticancer mechanisms of action, such as apoptosis induction, cell cycle inhibition, and activation of specific signaling pathways such as PI3K/Akt, MAPK, and ferroptosis. However, challenges such as low bioavailability, poor stability, and toxicity are still obstacles in their application. Through a medicinal chemistry approach, these compounds can be structurally modified or reformulated to improve their clinical effectiveness. In conclusion, the combination of natural wealth with medicinal chemistry innovation opens up great opportunities in the development of more selective, effective, and safe anticancer therapies in the future.
