Life in the modern era is characterized by rapid lifestyle changes, including the 'skena' trend that becomes an integral part of student culture at the University of Jember. This research aims to analyze the lifestyle trend "skena" in the socio-cultural framework in the modern era, with a focus on Jember University students as a case study. A qualitative approach is used to collect and analyze data through in-depth interviews and participatory observations. The results show that the 'skena' trend reflects patterns of behavior, values, and norms that develop in student society. Social and cultural factors such as technology, globalization, identity, and self-expression play an important role in shaping and influencing these trends. This research provides an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon of "skena" and its implications for student culture at the University of Jember and provides a foundation for further research on lifestyle trends in the socio-cultural context.

The Ark ceremony is carried out by the people in Bengkulu city, which is held annually in every month of Muharram, starting on 1-10 Muharram in commemoration of the Shahid of Husen bin Ali bin Abu Talib (grandson of the prophet Muhammad SAW) who died in Padang Kaarbela for defending Islam, which is marked by a coffin called the Ark as a symbol of Husen's body. This ceremony is a cliché because it involves thousands of personalities from the preparation, implementation and organisation stages. This paper aims to reveal the Ark ceremony in the Bengkulu City community by paying attention to all matters related to the implementation of the ceremony, including the background and purpose of the ceremony (history/origin), technical organisers, participants, time, place, equipment and preparations, and the course of the ceremony. The collection of data and information is based on qualitative methods, which is a commonly used approach in cultural research. This research is in the form of explorative-descriptive which seeks to describe and reveal a social reality in people's lives. From the organisation of the Ark ceremony, it is known that the Ark ceremony is a religious ritual that contains local wisdom and cultural values

This research aims to investigate the social action conversion process experienced by former drug addicts in Sijambi Village, Tanjung Balai. The case study method was used with a qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews with a number of former drug addicts. The theory used in this research uses the theory of social action proposed by Max Weber which refers to the change or transformation of a social action from one form to another. The action conversion intended by this theory explains that social action involves a series of activities and interactions carried out by individuals or groups in society with the intention of achieving certain changes or influences. It includes active involvement in activities that have the potential to influence social norms, values, or structures. The research results show that the social action conversion process of former drug addicts in Sijambi Village involves several stages, starting from realizing there is a problem, having the motivation to change, to being involved in positive activities. First social action conversion Social action conversion is the process of changing individual or group behavior to be more positive and in line with social values. Lohan exemplifies this concept through her transformation from drug use and detrimental behavior.

This research aims to determine the existence of marsiadapari and its relevance to solidarity theory in Batumanumpak Village, Pangaribuan District, North Tapanuli Regency in 2023. This research uses qualitative research methods, to gain an understanding of social or human problems conducted in a natural research setting. Data collection in this research used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this research show that the existence of the local wisdom culture of marsiadapari is a local wisdom of the Toba Batak community which still exists from ancient times to sekran in Batumanumpak Village. marsiadapari is a system of mutual cooperation carried out by a group of people in an activity or job. This work is carried out by a group of people in agricultural land work activities. In the midst of the sophistication of the times, marsiadapari has not been abandoned and forgotten by the people of Batumanumpak Village, even though its implementation is not completely carried out as traditionally as before. The reason marsiadapari is still carried out is because marsiadapari is a legacy of local wisdom from ancestors that must be preserved and a tool to increase solidarity, tolerance and togetherness and also save costs for the people of Batumanumpak Village. Marsiadapari activities contain moral values ​​that are firmly held by the people of Batumanumpak Village and are believed to be a guide to a good life for the people of Batumanumpak Village.

Collaborative learning strategies are approaches that emphasize pressure, cooperation and active involvement between students in a learning community. In Islamic Religious Education learning, implementing this strategy allows students to support each other, share knowledge, and solve problems together, in accordance with the values ​​of mutual assistance contained in Islamic teachings. On the other hand, competitive learning methods place more emphasis on individual efforts to achieve goals, which may not maximize social interaction and collaboration between students. Therefore, the use of collaborative strategies in PAI learning is thought to be more effective in increasing understanding of the material and building students’ cooperation skills and tolerance for other people’s opinions.

This research aims to analyze the implementation of Scout extracurricular activities in instilling character education values in students at SDN 104202 Bandar Setia. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that Scout activities at this school play a significant role in instilling character values such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation and honesty. Scouting activities, including regular drills, camps, and social activities, provide opportunities for students to practice and strengthen these values. Scout leaders also play an important role in directing and providing real examples of the application of character values in everyday life. Thus, Scout extracurricular activities at SDN 104202 Bandar Setia are effective in supporting the character education program launched by the school.

The employment crisis of higher education graduates, the low relevance of the curriculum, and the need for community empowerment encourage the importance of transforming social education based on values ​​and local contexts. This study aims to explore the integration of the sociopreneurship approach in social welfare education in Indonesia, especially in State Islamic Universities (PTKIN). Using an explorative-critical literature study method, this study examines the theoretical framework, international curriculum practices, and recommends a contextual curriculum model based on Islamic values ​​and community empowerment. The results show that the sociopreneurship curriculum can increase active student participation, strengthen social character, and create sustainable solutions to welfare challenges. The integration of Islamic values ​​such as justice, maslahat, and social responsibility is an important moral foundation in the development of this curriculum. This study recommends designing a project-based curriculum, multi-sector involvement, and support for higher education policies as prerequisites for implementing the model systematically.    

This study examines the implementation of Qur’anic values in the services of Umrah pilgrims at Safarindo Albarokah Umroh using a Living Qur’an approach based on QS. An-Nahl: 90. The verse emphasizes three core values: ‘adl (justice), ihsan (excellence), and ita’ dzil qurba (social care), which serve as guiding principles in service management. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings show that all three values have been systematically implemented in administrative services, religious guidance, accompaniment in the Holy Land, and post-travel services. The value of ‘adl is reflected in transparent pricing and fair treatment of pilgrims, ihsan is demonstrated through excellent, responsive, and continuous service, while ita’ dzil qurba is realized through social programs such as scholarships for underprivileged pilgrims and special services for elderly and disabled pilgrims. This study concludes that Safarindo Albarokah Umroh integrates Qur’anic values into its operational system, contributing to the development of Living Qur’an studies in Islamic business practices.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how religious education influences the development of a person's character in their early adult years. A person's identity, moral independence, and life values are formed during the crucial developmental stage of early adulthood, which has a big influence on their future. This study examines the role that Christian Religious Education plays in promoting character development that embodies Christian values like love, honesty, responsibility, and integrity using a qualitative research approach based on a literature review. According to the findings, Christian Religious Education is crucial for raising people's moral consciousness, establishing spiritual principles, and assisting them in overcoming social obstacles. Christian Religious Education helps people develop a Christ-centered identity, improves their capacity for responsible decision-making, and promotes engagement in worthwhile social activities by teaching them God's Word. This study does, however, also point out a number of issues that could compromise the efficacy of character education, including the impact of digital media and social settings. According to the study's findings, Christian religious education plays a vital role in forming morally pure and motivated young adults. To foster an atmosphere that encourages character development, families, educational institutions, and society must work together. It is anticipated that the results will offer useful insights for creating more pertinent and successful Christian Religious Education initiatives.

Akhlak degradation or moral degradation is at the foundation of a variety of problems and social issues in society during one's life. Moral degradation develops as a result of entering digital spaces, as shown by the presence of Instagram as a digital social media. As a result, discovering a solution to this problem becomes a priority. This study aims to provide a solution to the phenomenon of moral degradation in Instagram by exploring the concept of morality based on Sufism values, by determining the formulation of the problem including a description of moral degradation in Instagram, Sufism and morality in Islam, and the concept of akhlakul karimah based on sufism values. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, as well as literature study as a data collection technique. The findings of this study explain the phenomena of moral degradation on Instagram, which generates a whole slew of issues. Furthermore, this research explains Sufism and morality in Islam, as well as their integration in the concept of morality based on Sufism values through various exercises and efforts as a resolution to moral degradation on the social media platform Instagram.

The transformation of media and communication in the digital era has reshaped how people interact, share information, and build social relationships. The digitalization of communication not only introduces new platforms such as social media and the internet of things (IoT) but also impacts communication culture and social relationship patterns within society. This study aims to examine the dynamics of communication theory in the context of digitalization, understand how these concepts adapt, and explain their impact on social and cultural life. The research method used is a literature review, analyzing internationally indexed journals, along with relevant national journals. The findings indicate that digitalization encourages faster interactions and wider access to information but also presents challenges, such as discrepancies between online and real identities and the erosion of local cultural values. In conclusion, a critical understanding of the dynamics of communication theory in the digital era is essential to harness this transformation positively without overlooking existing social and cultural values.

This article explores the reframing of holistic education by integrating spirituality and ethics as core components to achieve transformative impact. The study highlights the limitations of conventional education systems that prioritize cognitive development while neglecting moral and spiritual dimensions. The objective is to propose a more comprehensive educational paradigm that nurtures learners as whole individuals—intellectually, emotionally, morally, and spiritually. Using qualitative literature analysis, this study identifies the role of spiritual and ethical integration in shaping character, enhancing empathy, and fostering social responsibility. The findings suggest that embedding these values within curriculum design and instructional practices contributes to meaningful personal development and community transformation. By addressing the growing need for a more inclusive approach to education, the article emphasizes how integrating spirituality and ethics can bridge gaps in traditional educational models. The research underscores the importance of fostering emotional and moral intelligence alongside intellectual growth, particularly in a world where global challenges require not only intellectual problem-solving but also ethical decision-making and empathy. The implications emphasize the need for inclusive and humanistic approaches in education, encouraging educators to act as facilitators of life values and agents of change. Through the integration of spirituality and ethics, education can help shape a new generation of compassionate leaders and engaged citizens. By reimagining holistic education through this lens, the article offers a framework that aligns academic achievement with ethical consciousness and spiritual growth, ultimately fostering a more just and compassionate society. This transformative approach offers a comprehensive model for educators and policymakers aiming to prepare students not only for professional success but also for meaningful lives rooted in integrity and responsibility.

This study is a library research that aims to analyze the concept and relevance of coastal education in the Straits of Malacca in shaping character and improving the welfare of maritime communities. The study reviews a wide range of literature, including scientific journals, books, and policy documents related to character education, Malay local wisdom, and environmental education in coastal areas. The findings indicate that education in the coastal region of the Straits of Malacca serves not only as a means of knowledge transmission but also as a medium for internalizing the cultural and moral values of the Malay maritime community—values characterized by religiosity, independence, and environmental awareness. The ideal form of coastal education is an integrative model that combines Islamic character values, local wisdom, and ecological consciousness within a contextual learning system that reflects the realities of maritime life. The study concludes that strengthening character education based on coastal culture can serve as an effective strategy for creating resilient, competitive, and sustainable coastal societies amid global social and ecological change.

This study aims to analyze the interplay between ethical values and materialism in digital advertising and its impact on branding strategies in the digital era. Using a qualitative literature review approach, the study evaluates 25 national and international journals discussing contemporary ethical dilemmas, such as visual manipulation, transparency issues, and consumerist values in advertising. The findings highlight that while materialism can enhance brand imagery, it risks breaching ethical standards without alignment to honesty and social responsibility. The study also underscores the relevance of Islamic ethical values—such as as-sidq and amanah—in building sustainable branding. In the era of globalization, social skills are one of the important aspects in the formation of students. Collaborative learning not only focuses on academic achievement but also on the development of communication skills, cooperation, and empathy. The method used in this study is library research from various sources related to the research topic. Data collection is carried out through studies, research, analysis of scientific articles, books, journals or magazines and electronic sources related to collaborative learning-based aqidah akhlak learning . The data is then analyzed descriptively. Results from review library research shows that collaborative learning is an approach that emphasizes cooperation between students in groups to achieve common learning goals. Collaborative learning strategies in Islamic religious education are approaches that prioritize interaction and cooperation between students to achieve a deeper and more holistic understanding of the teaching material. Well-designed learning will make it easy to overcome behavior in students. The application of collaborative learning not only improves students' understanding of the concept of aqidah and akhlak, but also strengthens their social skills. The importance of social interaction, student involvement actively in the learning process, discussing, and working together in solving case studies of the concept of aqidah and akhlak. By implementing the method, it can be an effective strategy in improving student cooperation and students are better able to understand the material of aqidah and akhlak in depth and apply Islamic values in everyday life and can be applied more widely in Educational context religion Islam.

Indonesia is a unitary state with a lot of diversity, including various tribes, languages, religions, and cultures. Because it has so many differences, it is important for this nation to practice moderation in religion in order to prevent divisions that can damage the unity of the country. This research is educational and empirical. From the educational aspect, the focus is on the social aspect of religion in a multicultural society by emphasising the values of moderation. Meanwhile, from the empirical side, researchers will analyse the behaviour and actions of society in the practice of religious moderation. A country that is rich in diversity like Indonesia today often faces the issue of radicalism. Various groups that claim to represent certain interests are growing and openly spreading their ideologies. Therefore, religious moderation is an important element to encourage mutual understanding and respect for differences. It is hoped that this can be realised in harmony between religious communities in the midst of community life. The main objective of this study is to explore how to implement religious moderation as a strategic step to create a more inclusive and harmonious Indonesia in the future. The approach used in this study is a literature review, with a descriptive analysis style, namely examining documents and the implementation of religious moderation programmes in Indonesia. The results of the study show that the government faces various challenges in implementing religious moderation, such as rejection from conservative groups and lack of support from educational institutions. The conclusion of this study is that religious moderation is a key factor in building a harmonious and inclusive Indonesia. This can be achieved by increasing collaboration between the government, religious leaders, and the community in promoting the values of moderation. Thus, religious moderation can be a strong foundation for ensuring peace and social stability in Indonesia.

It is important to conduct research on the concept of justice in the utilization of the results of local wisdom tourism destinations from the perspective of human rights (Bandongan District, Magelang). This is to analyze the main problem formulation: (1) how is the concept of justice in the utilization of local wisdom tourism destinations in Bandongan Sub-district? (2) how is the influence of human rights values in the policy of utilization of local wisdom tourism destinations in Bandongan Sub-district? Data collection in this study was conducted through the collection of legal materials, observation, in-depth interviews, and FGDs with key groups. The data collected was then processed and analyzed to produce an analytical description to answer the questions raised in the research. The results showed that the tourism village is committed to achieving a comprehensive understanding of justice. This understanding includes various fundamental aspects, such as social, political, economic, legal, and cultural. Then the values of human rights also influence the policy of utilizing the results of tourist destinations, namely the community is given equality to provide aspirations in tourist destination policies, provide protection and respect for customs, regional musical instruments, rituals, dialects, and local wisdom, given equal opportunities for entrepreneurship, fulfilled conservation of the natural environment, given social development without discrimination. This article discusses holistic education in Catholic schools as a means of forming Christian character. Holistic education integrates spiritual, moral, intellectual, and social dimensions to build a whole person according to the values ​​of the Gospel. Case studies in several Catholic schools show that holistic education encourages students to actively participate in church and community life. This article also discusses challenges in its implementation, such as differences in student backgrounds, and strategies to overcome them.

The background of the problem in this research raises the values of Islamic education contained in Q.S Luqman verses 12-19 which are guidelines for humans which are used as the foundation and basis for educating humans on the right path. This article aims to explore character education from an al- -Qur'an through al-Azhar interpretation, so that understanding of character education is more varied and more comprehensive. The aim of this research is to reveal the form of character education carried out by Nabiyullah Luqmanul Hakim as contained in Q.S. Luqman verses 12-19. The research method used is library research, the data of which is obtained from literature studies with a theoretical and philosophical approach. The results of the research found that the character education values contained in Q.S Luqman verses 12-19 Tafsir Al-Azhar by Hamka are the value of gratitude, the value of prohibiting kufr, the value of monotheism, the value of prohibiting shirk, the value of honoring both parents, the value of obeying both parents. , the value of believing in the Day of Judgment, the value of commanding prayer, the value of doing what is good and preventing what is wrong, the value of patience, the value of prohibiting arrogance, the value of simplicity in social life.  

This research investigates the integration of Sharia economic instruments into green economy policies in Indonesia, focusing on how these instruments can enhance sustainability efforts. Specifically, it evaluates the role of Green Sukuk, zakat, and waqf in supporting sustainable development projects. Sharia economic instruments are identified as essential tools for financing environmentally friendly projects while aligning with social and ethical values. The research explores how these instruments contribute to the green economy by expanding funding sources, increasing public participation, and promoting social welfare. The study finds that the hybrid approach of integrating Sharia instruments with green policies leads to more sustainable outcomes compared to secular-only frameworks. The integration fosters long-term stability, attracts ethical investors, and supports social inclusion, making green initiatives more resilient. This research highlights the potential of Sharia-compliant financing in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fostering a more inclusive and sustainable economic model. Recommendations are made for the Indonesian government to develop policies that incorporate Sharia instruments into the green economy framework to enhance financial support and community engagement.
