The rapid development of digital technology, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, has brought changes to people's behavior and lifestyle with the trend of digital payments. One of the advances in digital financial services technology is PayLater, a Fintech innovation that offers easy transactions in the form of loans and installments without a credit card. This study aims to analyze the influence of transaction convenience and risk perception on purchasing decisions using the PayLater feature on e-commerce platforms among Generation Z in Samarinda City. This study uses a quantitative approach with associative methods and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 27. The method used is purposive sampling to obtain a sample of 100 respondents from Generation Z in Samarinda City, aged 18-28 years, who have used PayLater on e-commerce platforms. The findings show that transaction convenience (X1) has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, but risk perception (X2) does not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. At the same time, both variables have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights for the PayLater feature to design more effective strategies to improve customer satisfaction and transaction experience.

This study aims to analyze the effect of customer experience and service quality on customer loyalty with customer satisfaction as a mediator. The sample in this research consists of 100 respondents who have visited Kopi Pirak. The data collection technique used is a survey method with a questionnaire as the research instrument. The instrument test results indicate that the statement items show that the convergent validity test meets the required criteria. The results of this study prove that: Customer Experience does not have a significant effect on Customer Loyalty, Service Quality has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty, Customer Experience has a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction, Service Quality has a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction, Customer Satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty, Customer Satisfaction has a significant effect in mediating the relationship between Customer Experience and Customer Loyalty, Customer Satisfaction has a significant effect in mediating the relationship between Service Quality and Customer Loyalty. The findings of this study imply that future researchers should test the model using samples with a larger business scale to obtain more varied results. The findings of this study also imply that Kopi Pirak needs to improve customer experience in order to enhance customer loyalty.

The Information System registration module for the Regional Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWPD) was developed using the Laravel framework and implemented by the Taxpayer Identification Agency (BPPKAD) at Kediri City. The system was designed to digitize the NPWPD registration process, which was previously done manually. This traditional approach often led to long queues, extended processing times, and, at times, errors in data entry. The new system offers several key advantages, including an online registration form that allows taxpayers to upload required documents such as photos of ID cards, business locations, and other necessary paperwork. Data validation is performed by officers to ensure accuracy, and automatic notifications are sent to taxpayers, informing them of the status of their applications. The implementation of this system has had several positive impacts, such as significantly improving the efficiency of administrative processes, reducing the manual workload for officers, and increasing transparency and accountability in public services. Moreover, it has improved customer satisfaction by providing faster, more accurate, and more responsive services. This system supports the creation of a streamlined, user-friendly, and effective method for taxpayers to register for NPWPD online, enhancing the overall quality of public sector service delivery.

This study examines the determinants of green innovation and its impact on sustainable business performance among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Bandung Raya region of Indonesia. Specifically, the study analyzes the influence of environmental knowledge and market pressure on green innovation, as well as the effect of green innovation on sustainable performance. A quantitative approach was employed using data from 150 MSMEs, and structural relationships were tested through multiple regression analysis. All measurement instruments demonstrated high reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha 0.89–0.95) and validity (corrected item–total correlation > 0.80). The results reveal that environmental knowledge has the strongest positive and significant effect on green innovation (β = 0.728; p < 0.001), indicating that MSMEs with greater environmental awareness are more likely to adopt eco-friendly innovations. Market pressure also significantly influences green innovation (β = 0.257; p < 0.001), demonstrating the role of consumer expectations, competition, and green product trends in shaping sustainable business practices. Furthermore, green innovation has a very strong and significant impact on sustainable business performance (β = 0.847; p < 0.001), suggesting that eco-friendly practices enhance cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, firm reputation, and environmental outcomes. Overall, the study highlights the importance of combining internal awareness with external pressures to foster green innovation and strengthen sustainability among MSMEs. The findings provide theoretical contributions to green innovation and sustainability frameworks, while offering practical implications for MSMEs, policymakers, and business support institutions.

This study examines the influence of work discipline, training, and motivation on employee performance at PDAM Tirta Ayu, Tegal Regency. In a public service organization such as PDAM, employee performance is crucial to ensure customer satisfaction and strengthen institutional competitiveness. A quantitative survey method was used with questionnaires distributed to all 115 employees using a saturated sampling technique, as the entire population was included. The independent variables analyzed were work discipline (attitude, compliance with rules, responsibility), training (materials, methods, instructor competence, duration, facilities), and motivation (intrinsic and extrinsic). Employee performance, as the dependent variable, was measured using indicators of work quality, work quantity, teamwork, and problem-solving ability. The data were processed through multiple linear regression to assess simultaneous and partial effects. The research findings revealed that work discipline, training, and motivation each have a positive and significant impact on employee performance, but for training has a positive and insignificant effect, this is shown by the significant results of each significant level for work discipline sig value = 0.000 (<0.05), training sig value = 0.632 (>0.05) and motivation with sig value = 0.000 (<0.05). These results highlight the importance of strengthening employee discipline, implementing well-structured and sustainable training programs, and fostering sustainable motivation strategies. This research provides practical implications for PDAM Tirta Ayu management in designing policies to improve overall employee performance, thereby improving service quality and organizational competitiveness.

This study aims to analyze the influence of Corporate Image and Service Quality through Customer Satisfaction on Customer Loyalty at Semen Indonesia distributors in Gresik using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. The study population consisted of 102 customers, all of whom were sampled. The results indicate that Corporate Image and Service Quality have a significant influence on Customer Satisfaction. Both variables were also shown to have a significant influence on Customer Loyalty. However, unlike several previous research findings, Customer Satisfaction did not have a significant influence on Customer Loyalty. This finding indicates that in the context of the cement distribution business, customer loyalty is not formed solely from satisfaction, but is more influenced by other factors such as consistent service quality, a strong corporate image, competitive pricing, and long-term business relationships. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening image and improving service quality as key strategies for maintaining customer loyalty.

Customer satisfaction has become a major focus in the development of modern services as the role of the service sector in the regional economy increases, including in the city of Balikpapan. However, the literature discussing customer satisfaction models shows conceptual and methodological fragmentation, requiring a systematic synthesis to identify theoretical patterns and current research developments. This study aims to map customer satisfaction models in the service industry through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach using the PRISMA guidelines. A total of 20 articles selected from the last five years were analyzed to identify dominant constructs, methodological approaches, and relevant research trends. The review results show that customer satisfaction models have evolved from traditional service quality-based approaches to models that integrate customer experience, perceived value, trust, and digital dimensions such as personalization and AI-based services. The findings also emphasize the importance of local context, especially in the service sector in Balikpapan, where cultural factors, customer behavior, and the dynamics of city growth influence the structure of satisfaction models. Overall, this study provides a synthesis framework that can be used as a theoretical and practical foundation for designing service quality improvement strategies and developing a further research agenda in the service sector.

This study aims to examine and analyze the effects of product quality and distribution channel on repurchase intention, with customer satisfaction and customer trust serving as mediating variables. The research employed a quantitative method with a causal-explanatory approach. The study population consisted of customers at the Weber building materials manufacturing company in East Java, with a sample of 275 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires and assessed using a Likert scale. This study aims to analyze the application of the franchising system on business performance in the beverage franchise business through a case study of Mitra Minuman Siap Saji. The approach used is qualitative with a case study design, with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, operational observations, and supporting documentation. The results show that the implementation of standardized Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), franchisor support in the form of training, raw material supplies, and periodic monitoring contribute significantly to improving business stability, product quality consistency, and customer satisfaction. However, there are limitations in flexibility and several communication obstacles that have the potential to affect the effectiveness of the partnership. The relatively strict contract structure also impacts partners' perceptions of local innovation space, although it is generally still viewed as providing business security and business model clarity. These findings emphasize that a balance between franchisor control and partner autonomy, accompanied by open communication and fair contract design, is a key factor in creating sustainable business performance in a franchising system.

Queueing systems play an important role in evaluating service performance, especially in small-scale businesses such as barbershops, where fluctuating customer arrival patterns and limited service capacity often lead to long waiting times. This study aims to analyze the performance of barbershop services using the M/M/1 queueing model and an analytical approach based on experimentally tested arrival (λ) and service (μ) rates. The model was selected because it represents a single-server system with Poisson arrivals and exponentially distributed service times, closely matching real barbershop operational characteristics. Using assumed realistic parameters, the analysis shows that when λ = 12 customers per hour and μ = 6 customers per hour, the system becomes unstable with a utilization rate (ρ) exceeding 1, indicating continuous queue growth. Further simulations with increased service rates demonstrate significant improvements: at μ = 15, the system achieves ρ = 0.8 with an average waiting time of 16 minutes, while at μ = 13, the system remains stable but experiences a long waiting time of approximately 55 minutes. These findings emphasize that barbershop performance is highly sensitive to service speed and that even small increases in μ can produce substantial improvements in queue stability and customer waiting times. The study concludes that barbershops must ensure adequate service capacity—either through optimizing service duration, improving worker efficiency, or adding servers—to maintain service quality and enhance customer satisfaction.

Quality management and Total Quality Management (TQM) have become critical issues in both education and industry because they are directly related to service quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The rise of global competition demands organizations to implement a quality system that not only focuses on technical standards, but also integrates a comprehensive quality culture. This article aims to answer the research question regarding how the application of quality standards and TQM affects the quality of organizational management and the benefits produced for both academics and practitioners. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a literature review (LR) model. Data were obtained from 20 scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025 through Google Scholar and Publish or Perish (PoP) using the keywords “quality management, standard, benefits, TQM.” After the screening process, five articles were selected for in-depth analysis. The results of the analysis reveal three main findings: (1) quality standards serve as a fundamental basis for maintaining quality consistency, (2) the implementation of TQM is proven to be flexible and applicable across various sectors, and (3) the benefits of TQM include improved service quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The conclusion of this synthesis highlights that the application of TQM is not merely a technical strategy, but also shapes a sustainable organizational culture. Future studies should further explore the integration of TQM within the context of digitalization and educational innovation.

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the influence of user experience and e-service quality on user satisfaction with the MyTelkomsel mobile application. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method along with data collection techniques in the form of semi-structured interviews and direct observation of active users of the MyTelkomsel application in the city of Medan. Data was obtained from 10 informants selected using purposive sampling techniques, supported by documentation of user interactions with the application. The results of the study indicate that ease of navigation, informative interface display, application response speed, and service feature reliability are the main factors that shape user satisfaction. Users tend to feel satisfied when the application is able to provide a comfortable, efficient, and responsive user experience that meets their needs. The findings of this study are expected to provide strategic input for Telkomsel in improving user experience and service quality as an effort to strengthen customer satisfaction and loyalty.

This study analyzes customer attrition in barbershops through the application of the 4P marketing mix, which includes Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. The research was conducted using a questionnaire distributed to 30 barbershop customers, which aimed to assess their level of satisfaction regarding each element of the marketing mix. The findings revealed that while customers were generally satisfied with the quality of the haircuts and the cleanliness of the tools, there was an important demand for improvement in the quality and variety of additional products offered. The pricing strategy was considered affordable by most customers; however, some expressed dissatisfaction, indicating the need for better communication regarding the value of the services provided. Demographic analysis showed that the majority of respondents were young adults aged 18-25, highlighting a specific target market for barbershops. Overall, this study emphasizes the importance of effectively implementing the marketing mix to improve customer retention and satisfaction in the barbershop industry.

In an increasingly competitive business world with ever-increasing customer demands for the quality of services and goods, customer satisfaction and loyalty have emerged as crucial issues in today's marketing management. Under such conditions, business entities must identify the key elements that shape satisfaction and how these contribute to building customer loyalty. This paper aims to examine the nature of study results on the determinants of satisfaction and loyalty through an evaluation of several recent empirical studies. Two key questions are addressed: which elements most strongly influence customer satisfaction, and what is the intermediary function of satisfaction in explaining the relationship between marketing variables such as service quality, cost, brand image, and trust with customer loyalty. The technique employed is a qualitative literature review through a search of articles using Google Scholar and Publish or Perish (PoP). Key terms used include customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, service quality, and trust. Of the 50 articles found in the initial phase, 15 met the inclusion standards and were thoroughly reviewed. The evaluation findings reveal three dominant patterns: service and product quality are the most stable factors driving satisfaction; cost and brand image serve as supporting factors; and trust acts as an important intermediary variable. This evaluation confirms that customer satisfaction is a key component in strengthening loyalty. Future studies are recommended to expand the scope of business sectors, use a more comprehensive structural framework, and utilize a wider variety of methodological techniques.

This study aims to analyze the critical role of leadership in improving employee motivation at Arabela Beauty Salon in Sikka Regency. The problems identified include employees who still lack enthusiasm in their work, low discipline, and limited initiative in providing service to customers, which affects overall service quality. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that leadership at Arabela Beauty Salon plays a significant role in enhancing employee motivation by providing clear direction, maintaining open communication, and offering attention as well as support to employees. However, the reward system and performance evaluation processes still need improvement to further encourage employees in achieving optimal service targets and high-quality outcomes. Thus, the application of an effective, participative leadership style can significantly improve employee motivation, which in turn leads to better service delivery and increased customer satisfaction.

The advancement of information technology has transformed consumption patterns, including shopping activities that have increasingly shifted to digital platforms or e-commerce. Bukalapak, as one of the early players in this industry, is currently facing challenges in the form of declining market share and user complaints related to digital service quality (e-service quality). This research aims to analyze the effect of electronic service quality on consumer loyalty (e-loyalty), with electronic satisfaction (e-satisfaction) as a mediating variable among Bukalapak users in Denpasar City. The sampling technique employed a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling approach, and the number of samples was determined based on the number of indicators used. The research findings indicate that electronic service quality has a positive and significant effect on both user satisfaction and user loyalty. Electronic satisfaction is also proven to significantly affect user loyalty and serves as a partial mediator in the relationship between service quality and loyalty. These findings affirm that improving the quality of digital services can enhance customer satisfaction and ultimately build loyalty toward the Bukalapak platform

Changes in the lifestyles of the younger generation in Padang City have significantly contributed to the growth of the culinary and entertainment sectors, especially in services for birthday celebrations and small banquets presented in aesthetic and personalized packages. In this highly competitive culinary business, a strong branding strategy is essential for building a recognizable brand image and attracting consumers. Improving product quality and quantity, diversifying offerings, and providing a wide variety of products are critical for creating added value and expanding market share. Equally important, effective promotion enables companies to communicate with consumers, influence purchasing decisions, and strengthen brand loyalty. The general equilibrium concept offers a framework to understand how interconnected markets respond to changes in supply, demand, and consumer preferences, highlighting the need for businesses to continuously evaluate and adapt their strategies. This study emphasizes that success in Padang City’s bakery and culinary service industry depends on the integration of branding strategies, ongoing product development, and targeted promotional efforts, ensuring competitiveness, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth.

Although Experience Quality has been extensively researched, comprehensive studies remain limited. This research aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis of existing empirical work on Experience Quality. The methodology used is SLR, with data collected from the Scopus database using the search term "Experience Quality" in the title, abstract, and keywords. This search yielded 1,297 publications from 1965 to 2025 (evaluated on October 24, 2025). The data were analyzed bibliometrically using VOSviewer. The findings confirm that experience quality has a significant effect on brand perception and customer satisfaction, which consequently impacts customer loyalty. Practically, this implies that brand and service managers must treat experience quality as a strategic variable, as good products or services alone are insufficient for long-term loyalty. Socially, positive experiences are shown to strengthen social networks, increase community involvement, and promote inclusion. This research is limited by its reliance solely on the Scopus database; future research should integrate additional databases, such as Web of Science, for broader generalization. Despite the global development of this topic, in-depth, structured studies are scarce. This research is valuable and original as it provides a comprehensive summary and a research roadmap through SLR and bibliometric analysis.

This research aims to explore the role of service excellence in enhancing consumer loyalty in culinary MSMEs, with a case study at RM Kamang Jaya in Medan City. In facing intense competition in the food industry, excellent service becomes an important strategy to maintain and expand the customer base. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed to deeply examine customer experiences, perceptions, and service practices through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that the consistent application of service standards, friendly attitudes of staff, and attention to detail in service delivery greatly contribute to customer satisfaction and loyalty. Good service has been proven to encourage repeat orders, create positive experiences, and enhance word-of-mouth promotion. Despite some technical obstacles, such as order errors or menu limitations, the quick response and professional attitude of employees were able to minimize their impact. These findings confirm that service excellence not only meets the functional needs of consumers but also builds emotional attachment, which becomes the foundation of long-term loyalty. The implications of this research are significant for other MSME actors in designing superior service strategies to face increasingly complex business competition.
