Financial management, both in public and private organizations, is highly vulnerable to fraud and misappropriation of funds. The risk of fraud in financial reporting not only jeopardizes an organization's long-term financial health but also damages the reputation and trust of stakeholders. Professional ethics and integrity are key factors in ensuring good, efficient, and effective financial governance. Weak internalization of professional ethical values among financial practitioners, such as manipulation of financial reports and unauthorized use of official funds, is often a major cause of misappropriation of funds. These cases can significantly harm an organization, as seen in violations of codes of ethics in various large companies. Therefore, strengthening professional ethics in financial management practices is crucial to prevent misappropriation of funds, fraud, or financial manipulation. A strong internal control system, coupled with a good ethical culture, can play a significant role in preventing and detecting these conditions. This study aims to identify factors that support and hinder the implementation of professional ethics in financial management and provide recommendations for improving integrity and accountability in fund management. It is hoped that the results of this study will help organizations strengthen governance, increase transparency, and reduce the risk of fraud through better implementation of professional ethics.

This article aims to provide a comprehensive literature review on how professional ethics can serve as an effective strategy to prevent fund misuse within organizational financial management. Professional ethics is viewed as a set of moral values, behavioral norms, and professional standards that guide financial managers to perform their duties with honesty, responsibility, and without conflicts of interest. In the context of financial management, these duties include recording, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting financial activities, all of which require accuracy and transparency. The study highlights five main principles of professional ethics: integrity, objectivity, professional competence, confidentiality, and professional behavior. These principles clarify rules, strengthen accountability, and ensure that financial processes comply with established standards. The literature review shows that applying professional ethics not only encourages individuals to act correctly but also enhances responsibility, improves performance, and strengthens financial oversight. Integrity and objectivity play a crucial role in preventing report manipulation, budget inflation, and fund misuse, as these principles demand moral courage and fair decision-making. Professional competence ensures that every financial process is carried out accurately and in accordance with regulations, while confidentiality protects sensitive information from misuse. Professional behavior emphasizes adherence to laws, organizational policies, and professional standards. The article also identifies several supporting factors that enable the effective implementation of professional ethics, such as strong internal policies, leadership commitment to integrity, an ethical workplace culture, layered supervision systems, and continuous ethics training. Conversely, common challenges include weak internal controls, limited understanding of ethics, organizational pressure, conflicts of interest, and inconsistent application of ethical standards. Therefore, this article underscores that integrating professional ethics into organizational financial policies, procedures, and management systems is a key step in preventing fund misuse and strengthening stakeholder trust in the organization’s transparency and accountability.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is a sudden and unexpected death in infants that is often associated with the prone sleeping position. This study aims to develop an automated monitoring system capable of detecting SIDS risk factors using the YOLOv8 algorithm and to analyze the effect of data augmentation on model performance. The dataset consists of two classes, baby-lying-on-back (supine) and baby-lying-on-stomach (prone), which were processed through model training and evaluation using precision, recall, F1-score, and mAP metrics. The model was trained under two scenarios, without data augmentation and with data augmentation. The results show that the model without augmentation achieved a precision of 90%, recall of 85%, F1-score of 86%, and mAP50 of 93.7%. After applying augmentation, performance improved to a precision of 90%, recall of 87%, F1-score of 88%, and mAP50 of 95.1%. These findings indicate that augmentation increases detection accuracy and enhances model generalization, including robustness against variations in lighting and camera angles. Furthermore, testing with image and video inputs revealed that the non-augmented model exhibited a tendency toward overfitting, particularly in favor of the baby-lying-on-stomach, whereas the augmented model successfully classified both classes accurately. The developed system is also equipped with an alarm feature and early-warning notifications via Telegram to smartphone when a prone position is detected for a certain duration. Overall, the results demonstrate that YOLOv8 with data augmentation is effective for an automated, non-invasive monitoring system for infants, making it suitable for detecting and preventing potential SIDS risk factors.

Indonesia constitutionally declares itself as a state based on the rule of law as mandated in Article 1 paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution after the amendments. This principle requires that governance and law enforcement be conducted under constitutional supremacy, legal certainty, equality before the law, and an independent judiciary. However, various political interferences, regulatory inconsistencies, and discriminatory legal practices continue to undermine these ideals. This research examines: (1) the effectiveness of the hierarchy of legislation and judicial review mechanisms by the Constitutional Court (MK) and the Supreme Court (MA) in preventing regulatory conflicts and discriminatory law enforcement; and (2) the extent to which the rule of law principle post-amendment has been manifested in equal protection before the law and judicial independence. Using a normative legal research method with statute, conceptual, case, and historical approaches, this study finds that although constitutional reforms have strengthened checks and balances and judicial authority, the persistence of selective and politically influenced law enforcement indicates that equality before the law has not been consistently implemented. Strengthening institutional integrity, improving regulatory harmonization, and ensuring the judiciary’s independence remain crucial to realizing Indonesia’s constitutional aspirations as a democratic state governed by the rule of law.

Communicable diseases remain one of the leading public health burdens in Indonesia, particularly in densely populated residential areas and communities with inadequate sanitation. Poor housing conditions including insufficient ventilation, overcrowding, excessive humidity, inadequate lighting, and improper waste and wastewater management have been shown to increase the risk of respiratory infections, diarrhea, and other environment-related diseases. This literature review aims to identify effective environmental health strategies for preventing communicable diseases by synthesizing findings from 11 scientific articles published between 2014 and 2025. The review shows that basic sanitation, indoor air quality, waste management, and the implementation of the Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) program are key determinants in reducing disease incidence. Additionally, successful interventions depend heavily on clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) and active community participation. These findings highlight the importance of a comprehensive approach that integrates physical environmental improvements, health education, and community empowerment to create healthy settlements and sustainably reduce the risk of communicable diseases.

Internal control is a crucial aspect for SMEs in maintaining the reliability of revenue recording and preventing the risk of misappropriation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of internal control in the revenue cycle at Exmo Tea Café and to evaluate its effectiveness through internal audit. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection through interviews with management personnel directly involved in transactions and financial recording. The analysis is conducted using the COSO framework, which includes five main components: control environment, risk assessment, control activities, information and communication, and monitoring. The research results indicate that Exmo Tea Café has implemented several basic elements of internal control, such as recording transactions through a cashier application, daily cash reconciliation, and reporting to the owner. However, the effectiveness of these controls is still limited because the segregation of duties between receiving and recording is not optimal, risk assessment is reactive, documentation and report archiving are not systematic, and monitoring is conducted informally. In addition, there are no formal policies regarding operational standards (SOPs) or internal audit procedures that could serve as guidelines for continuous control implementation. These conditions have the potential to lead to risks of fraud, recording errors, and delays in financial reporting. Therefore, these findings underscore the need for a comprehensive enhancement of the internal control system, including strengthening the separation of duties, conducting preventive risk assessments, providing employee training related to financial governance, as well as implementing more formal monitoring and documentation. These improvements are expected to increase reporting accuracy, operational effectiveness, and minimize the potential for errors or fraud in the company's financial activities.

This study aims to describe the perspectives of Akidah Akhlak teachers on the implementation of moral education through the teaching of the Ta’lim al-Muta’allim book as a strategy to prevent bullying at MTs Islamiyah Syafiiyah Sedan. The background of the study is the growing prevalence of bullying in schools, including verbal, physical, and social forms, which demands an approach to moral education that not only transfers knowledge but also internalizes values essential for shaping students’ character and self-control. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method using interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects are Akidah Akhlak teachers who directly teach Ta’lim al-Muta’allim. The data were analyzed through reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that teachers view the book as strategically valuable for developing students’ moral character because it provides guidance on proper conduct toward teachers, peers, knowledge, and the learning environment. According to the teachers, applying the values presented in the text helps foster respect, empathy, and social responsibility, which contributes to preventing bullying behaviors. In classroom practice, teachers integrate these values through exemplary behavior, contextual advice, and reflective discussions following reading activities. Thus, the teaching of Ta’lim al-Muta’allim serves not only as academic material but also as a medium for instilling moral values that support the creation of a school culture grounded in good morals and free from bullying. These efforts strengthen students’ awareness and encourage positive daily interactions within the school.

Informed consent constitutes a fundamental legal and ethical requirement in healthcare services, ensuring that every medical action is performed with the patient’s full awareness and voluntary approval. In Indonesia, the obligation to obtain informed consent is firmly regulated under the Health Law No. 17 of 2023, the Minister of Health Regulation on Medical Consent, and provisions on medical records. This paper examines the essential role of informed consent as a protective instrument for both patients and healthcare providers within the clinical and legal framework. Informed consent guarantees patients’ rights to information, autonomy, and decision-making, while providing legal safeguards for medical practitioners by documenting the process of explanation, acceptance, or refusal of medical treatment. Proper documentation within medical records ensures accountability, continuity of care, and serves as crucial evidence when medical disputes arise. Medical disputes often stem from dissatisfaction, communication gaps, or misunderstandings about risks inherent in medical procedures. Therefore, informed consent functions not merely as an administrative requirement but as a mechanism for preventing conflict, clarifying responsibilities, and distinguishing unavoidable medical risks from professional negligence. By strengthening the implementation of informed consent, healthcare providers can enhance transparency, improve service quality, and reduce the likelihood of medical litigation.
