This study aims to analyze the strategies of tahfidz teachers in improving students’ Qur’anic memorization quality through a literature review approach. Memorization quality is not merely measured by the quantity of verses memorized, but also includes accuracy of recitation, fluency, consistency in muroja’ah (revision), and long-term memory retention. This research employed a literature review method by examining national and international journal articles as well as relevant academic books published between 2020 and 2025. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify themes, patterns, and research gaps related to teachers’ strategies in tahfidz learning. The findings reveal that effective tahfidz teaching strategies can be classified into four main aspects: (1) structured and consistent implementation of repetition (tikrar), (2) reinforcement of muroja’ah and periodic evaluation, (3) motivational strategies and character development, and (4) innovative learning approaches integrating collaboration and educational technology. The tikrar method is proven effective in strengthening memorization retention when supported by systematic program planning. Furthermore, intrinsic motivation, a conducive learning environment, and varied instructional methods significantly contribute to maintaining students’ memorization stability. In conclusion, improving the quality of Qur’anic memorization depends not only on repetition frequency but also on the integration of pedagogical strategies, affective-spiritual approaches, and instructional innovation. This study provides a conceptual contribution to the development of more comprehensive and sustainable tahfidz learning strategies.

Social Studies (IPS) learning at the elementary school level plays a strategic role in shaping students’ understanding of social, cultural, and economic life, as well as national values. This study aims to analyze the differences between the 2013 Curriculum and the Merdeka Curriculum in IPS learning, including planning, implementation, the use of methods and media, and the assessment of learning outcomes. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study, collecting data from curriculum documents, lesson plans (RPP), syllabi, classroom observations, interviews with teachers and school principals, and student questionnaires. The results indicate that the 2013 Curriculum provides a clear learning structure, detailed lesson plans, and systematic material organization that facilitates teachers, but it is less flexible and less contextualized for students. In contrast, the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes flexibility, relevance of content to the local context, innovative methods such as project-based learning and blended learning, as well as holistic assessment focusing on critical thinking skills, social literacy, and student character. The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum can enhance students’ learning interest, active participation, understanding of social concepts, and social awareness; however, its effectiveness depends on teacher readiness, school support, facilities, and consistency in assessment. These findings suggest that selecting an appropriate IPS curriculum should consider a balance between structure and flexibility, content relevance, teacher competence, and supporting facilities.

This study aims to analyze the underlying causes of low interest in Arabic language learning and to formulate pedagogical solutions through the integration of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Cooperative Learning, and the PAKEM (Active, Creative, Effective, and Joyful Learning) framework. Adopting a descriptive qualitative approach with a library research method, this study critically analyzes data to identify epistemological, affective, and pedagogical barriers in Arabic instruction, while exploring the potential interventions of the three aforementioned strategies. The findings indicate that the decline in student interest is primarily driven by material abstraction, language anxiety, and passive instructional methods. The integration of these three strategies offers a complementary and holistic solution: CTL addresses cognitive barriers by contextualizing material into meaningful learning experiences; Cooperative Learning mitigates affective obstacles by fostering psychological safety through peer support; and PAKEM overcomes motoric-engagement barriers by stimulating joyful, active participation. The synergy of these strategies effectively shifts the instructional paradigm from passive-instructional to active-participatory, fundamentally reconstructing and enhancing student engagement and interest in Arabic language acquisition.
