This study examines the effect of digital banking transformation on financial inclusion in emerging economies, using Indonesia as a case study. Digital banking transformation refers to the technological development of banking services, including accessibility, transaction speed, system security, service integration, and the availability of user-relevant financial features. Financial inclusion is defined as individuals’ ability to access, use, and benefit from formal financial services in an easy, secure, affordable, and sustainable way. This research employs a quantitative explanatory design. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to users of mobile banking, internet banking, digital bank applications, and digital payment services in Indonesia. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling with criteria of being at least 17 years old, residing in Indonesia, and having used digital banking services within the last six months. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that digital banking transformation has a positive and significant effect on financial inclusion, with a path coefficient of 0.684, a t-value of 14.276, and a p-value of 0.000. The R-square value of 0.468 shows that 46.8% of the variance in financial inclusion is explained by digital banking transformation. These findings suggest that digital banking expands access to financial services, increases usage of formal financial products, and reduces barriers related to distance and cost. However, its effectiveness still depends on digital literacy, security, trust, infrastructure, and consumer protection. The study implies that banks and regulators should strengthen inclusive, secure, and affordable digital financial services for underserved communities.

Bintan Regency, as a coastal area with a strategic geographical location as an international shipping route, is vulnerable to marine pollution caused by oil spills. Repeated incidents throughout 2023-2025 show that this problem has not been resolved. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of MARPOL Annex I as a regulation that prevents pollution caused by oil spills at sea, particularly in Bintan Regency. This study identifies gaps in the implementation of regulations at the national level and formulates a more integrated form of prevention through strengthened supervision and the application of technology. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method through a literature review approach, with secondary data from scientific journals, articles, media reports, YouTube, and other supporting documents related to the incident. The results of the study show that: first, mitigation efforts are still focused on post-spill responses, such as manual cleanup involving institutions and the community. Second, weak border patrols make it difficult to find the perpetrators. Third, Bintan Regency has not utilized technology such as blockchain as a potential tool that can help prove ship compliance with MARPOL Annex I. Although MARPOL Annex I has been implemented in accordance with national regulations, its implementation has proven ineffective as spills continue to recur to this day. Therefore, changes are needed in terms of prevention through integrated maritime surveillance and the introduction of digital technology for reporting ship compliance with MARPOL Annex I in the Bintan Regency area.

This study aims to explain the construction of gender identity in Toni Morrison's novel Beloved through Judith Butler's gender performativity theory. This novel tells the story of the traumatic experience of slavery that shapes racial identity as well as the social issues, power relations, and extreme violence depicted within it. This study explains how Sethe and other female characters in the novel Beloved construct and demonstrate their identities through concrete actions as a form of protest against slavery. Based on Judith Butler's performativity approach, identity is not understood through a fixed biological destiny but rather as a repetition of social practices and norms within society. In the novel Beloved, Black women are represented not as a fixed biological essence but as the result of the application of norms in society. In Beloved, the Black female body is depicted as a source of oppression and a space of resistance. The system of slavery in Beloved not only controls the physical body but also women's subjectivity. Sethe's actions in protecting her child in the novel can be read as an attempt to shake up hegemonic maternal norms. The results of this study indicate that Morrison portrays identity as a political construct and always in the process of becoming. The trauma depicted in the novel is a performative mechanism that shapes the characters' subjectivities. Thus, an analysis of gender performativity in Beloved cannot be separated from the intersectional issues of race, history, slavery, and patriarchal culture.

This study aims to clarify the conceptual differences between measurement, assessment, and evaluation; present a comparative analysis of their characteristics; formulate concrete application examples across four Arabic language skills (istima', kalam, qira'ah, and kitabah) in madrasah; and analyze evaluation principles in creating an objective and fair assessment system. The study employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach through content analysis of relevant academic sources. The findings indicate that measurement, assessment, and evaluation form a hierarchical and mutually reinforcing relationship, yet they differ in scope, function, and purpose. Measurement focuses on quantifying learning outcomes, assessment interprets those results, and evaluation provides overall judgment for decision-making. The current imbalance in Arabic language evaluation at madrasah, which often emphasizes cognitive measurement alone, can be improved through comprehensive assessment of all four language skills. This should be grounded in principles of validity, reliability, objectivity, practicality, and positive washback to ensure a fair, meaningful, and educationally sound evaluation system.
