Learning interest is one of the key factors influencing students' success in understanding a subject. In reality, many students struggle to engage with Natural Science (IPA) lessons due to less interactive and conventional teaching methods. The Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model is an approach that can be used to enhance students' interest in learning through engaging games and academic competitions. This study aims to increase the learning interest of third-grade students at SD GMIT Nenu in Natural Science (IPA) by implementing the TGT method. The research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 16 third-grade students at SD GMIT Nenu in the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection techniques included observations, learning interest questionnaires, interviews, and learning outcome tests. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results indicate that the implementation of the TGT method significantly increased students' learning interest. Before the intervention, only 45% of students demonstrated a high interest in learning, with an average test score of 65.0. After applying the TGT method in the first cycle, learning interest increased to 75%, and the average student score improved to 80.5. In the second cycle, students' learning interest reached 93.75%, with an average score rising to 98.12. These findings demonstrate that the TGT method makes learning more engaging, fosters student interaction, and helps them understand scientific concepts more effectively.Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the TGT cooperative learning method is effective in enhancing elementary school students' learning interest. Teachers are encouraged to adopt this method for teaching Natural Science or other subjects that require active student participation. Furthermore, future research can be conducted to explore the effectiveness of this method in higher education levels and in different classroom settings.

Pragmatics is a branch of linguistics that studies the intent of speech. The material of this research is directive speech acts. Directive speech act is one type of speech act used by speakers to tell others to do certain actions. This research analyzes the directive speech acts in the Science Around Us learning video on the Pahamify YouTube Channel. The approach used to examine this research is using theoretical and methodological approaches. The theoretical approach used is a pragmatic approach while the methodological approach used is a qualitative descriptive approach. This research method uses a pragmatic and descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection in this analysis is through listening and note-taking techniques, and using the derivative technique of simak bebas libat cakap. Then, the data analysis technique uses the commensurate technique. And using formal and informal data presentation techniques. The results show that there are various types of directive speech acts used by speakers, such as asking, commanding, ordering, inviting, asking, pleading, suggesting and forcing. The act of asking dominates, showing the speaker's effort to actively involve the audience. The findings indicate that directive speech acts play an important role in creating effective interaction in science learning through video media. This research contributes to a better understanding of more in-depth about language use in the context of online learning.

Critical thinking skills are crucial for preparing students to face complex real-world problems and are a key component of 21st-century learning. This study aims to identify the critical thinking skill profile of 5th-grade elementary school students on the respiratory system material. Critical thinking is an essential skill in 21st-century education, particularly for developing students' abilities in analysis, evaluation, and argumentation. However, it is often neglected in science education at the elementary level. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with survey techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and classroom observations to assess students' critical thinking skills. The results indicate that among the 30 students tested, 15 were categorized as Fair, 12 as Low, and only 3 as Good. No student achieved the Very Good or Very Low category. The analysis of critical thinking indicators including analyzing, evaluating, composing arguments, and problem-solving reveals that while students possess a basic understanding, they struggle with more advanced critical thinking tasks. The study concludes that students' critical thinking skills remain limited to basic comprehension. This limitation is attributed to the dominance of rote learning methods and the lack of interactive and problem-solving-based instructional strategies. Future teaching approaches should prioritize active learning and the integration of critical thinking practices to enhance students' higher-order thinking skills.

This research is one of many theoretical studies of language , one of which is phonology . The researchers used qualitatively literature review method by collect literature , journals , articles , etc. Phonology is a subdiscipline of linguistics that investigate the sounds of language and the processes of their formation and transformation . The study of phonology includes the study of the sounds of language as a whole and their functions . “The science of phonology ” and “ the science of sound ” actually come from the Greek words “ phone ,” meaning “ sound ,” and “ logos ,” meaning “ science .” General phonology studies language sounds and phonemes . Phonology specifically studies only the sounds in one language . Phonological awareness is very important in language learning to improve reading ability . Language abilities is often associated with speaking abilities or speaking skills . The view of the " lay public " that speaking abilities is the most important skills is wrong because of a child's success depends on the speed of his speaking . A child's speaking abilities is not associated with intelligence , but with their listening ability , environment and speech tools . People talk to each others using a series of words to convey their thoughts , ideas , and thoughts .

The purpose of this study is to see how local folktales and science concepts can be used as learning resources in Natural and Social Science lessons in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). In this study, qualitative methods and content analysis techniques were applied to relevant local folktales. The main data sources were folktales from various regions in Indonesia, which were selected based on their relevance to science concepts in the IPAS curriculum. Data collection was conducted through document analysis of folktales, interviews with IPAS teachers, and observations on how folktales are applied in classroom learning. Using a descriptive approach, the data collected was analyzed to find and categorize the science concepts contained in the folktales. In addition, it was assessed the possibility of folklore can be used as learning media. The results showed that local folktales have great potential as a source of IPAS education covering physics and chemistry concepts, as well as natural phenomena and animal and plant life. Students can gain a better understanding of science concepts through folktales, which are more contextualized and easy to understand. Thus, folktales can be incorporated into IPAS learning to improve students' understanding, enrich their learning experience, and raise awareness of the importance of environmental conservation. In addition, this study suggests the creation of folklore-based learning modules and teacher training programs to maximize this potential.

This research aims to explore how a story-based learning approach can increase students' understanding of the rain phenomenon in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning at the elementary school level. Using a qualitative approach and case studies, this research involved fourth grade students and science and science teachers in one elementary school. The research results show that story-based learning is able to change students' erroneous understanding of the rain phenomenon into a more accurate scientific understanding. Stories that connect scientific concepts with students' daily experiences successfully increase their engagement and participation in learning. In addition, this approach can also simplify abstract concepts such as the water cycle, making the material more interesting and easy to understand. Despite some challenges, such as the time required to design relevant stories, the positive impact of this approach on students' understanding and their engagement is significant. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of more creative and contextual science learning methods in elementary schools.

This study aims to explore the various challenges faced by students in learning science and to analyze the internal and external factors that influence them. This research is motivated by the low success rate of students in science courses, which is thought to be due to multiple obstacles involving cognitive, affective, and learning environment aspects. The research method used is a qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews and surveys of students enrolled in science courses at universities. The findings show that internal factors, such as self-efficacy, basic mathematical skills, and intrinsic motivation, play a significant role in influencing students’ understanding of science material. On the other hand, external factors, including curriculum, teaching methods, environmental support, and facility limitations, also have a substantial impact. This study suggests improvements in curriculum reform at the elementary and secondary levels, more interactive teaching methods, and adequate academic support to help students overcome difficulties in science courses. These findings are expected to provide insights for educational institutions and educators in designing more effective learning strategies to enhance students' competencies in science.
