This study examines the concept of Islamic moral education according to Habib Umar Bin Hafidz and Habib Ali Al-Jufri, the methods of instilling moral values that they use, and the relevance of their thoughts in the context of today's education. Moral education currently faces various complex challenges, such as weak role models, less applicable approaches, and the negative influence of technological advances and social media that trigger moral dilemmas among the younger generation. The lack of integration of moral values in daily practice and the identity crisis due to globalization are also problems that hinder the formation of noble characters. The study used a qualitative approach with library research, collecting data from primary and secondary sources, then analyzed descriptively. The results of the study show that Habib Umar places love for Allah and the Messenger as the core of moral values, with educational methods that prioritize role models and gentleness without coercion, relevant to forming character and spirituality in the modern era. Meanwhile, Habib Ali emphasizes humanitarian values such as compassion and tolerance as the foundation of moral education, with a moderate and inclusive approach that suits the needs of contemporary education. Both approaches provide important solutions in dealing with the problems of moral education, especially in building strong spiritual and social character amidst the dynamics of modern life, while also offering a foothold for overcoming the moral challenges faced by today's students.

Abstract This study examines the representation of Islam in the architecture of the KH Hasyim Asy'ari Indonesian Islamic Museum as a symbol of preserving Islamic history and culture in Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study identifies the symbolic and philosophical elements contained in the facade, interior, and circulation of the museum space. The results of the study show that the museum architecture adopts a post-modern style with a triangular pyramid shape that tapers upwards, symbolizing the majesty and sustainability of Islamic civilization. The concept of postmodern space is applied, with unclear boundaries between spaces, creating a continuous visual and functional flow, while providing a harmonious spatial experience for visitors. The arrangement of space and circulation utilizes the principle of postmodern space, where spaces appear separate but remain visually and functionally connected, reflecting diversity and inclusivity in the concept of Islam. The representation of Islam on the museum facade is depicted through a motif that resembles santri sungkem to kyai, a symbol of respect and closeness to religious teachings. The pyramid shape not only adopts world architectural designs, but also has a philosophical meaning related to the majesty, identity, and heritage of Islamic civilization in Indonesia. This study confirms that museum architecture is not only a work of visual art, but also a symbol of Islamic identity that is profound and historically and culturally meaningful.

This research explores the influential role of Islamic preaching, known as dakwah, in nurturing and reinforcing nationalistic values among young Muslims. It emphasizes the significance of integrating religious teachings with messages of patriotism to shape the mindset and attitudes of the youth towards their nation. Rather than viewing dakwah solely as a tool for religious propagation, this study positions it as a strategic and educational instrument that can instill a deep sense of national identity, unity, and active participation in national development.Employing a qualitative research methodology with a descriptive approach, this study analyzes various contemporary forms of dakwah, including religious lectures, Islamic study circles, digital platforms such as social media, and involvement in Islamic youth organizations. These channels are assessed for their effectiveness in conveying messages that resonate with the daily lives and societal roles of Muslim youth. The findings indicate that when Islamic values are harmoniously combined with national ideals, dakwah becomes a powerful vehicle for character building. It fosters a generation of young Muslims who are not only spiritually grounded but also exhibit strong civic awareness and a sense of responsibility towards preserving national unity and diversity. Ultimately, this research highlights the dual function of dakwah as both a spiritual guide and a catalyst for patriotic consciousness in the younger Muslim population.

The growing influence of transnational Islamic movements on Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesia has emerged as a new challenge for local religious organizations such as Muhammadiyah. This study aims to explore how Muhammadiyah, as a modernist Islamic movement, responds to transnational religious ideologies within the educational domain. Employing a qualitative approach through literature review, this research analyzes scholarly articles, major books, and official Muhammadiyah documents. The findings indicate that Muhammadiyah actively defends its progressive Islamic ideology through strategies such as strengthening higher education, internationalizing institutions, and revitalizing cadre development. Muhammadiyah’s ideological stance, rooted in wasathiyah (moderation) and inclusivity, is pivotal in countering the infiltration of transnational ideologies, which tend to be radical and intolerant. This study underscores the importance of reinforcing PAI curricula based on moderate Islamic values as a strategic step in preserving national Islamic identity.

This study examines acculturative symbolism and interfaith tolerance through the implementation of the Unan-Unan Ceremony in Tosari District, Tengger region, using a qualitative case study approach and Herbert Blumer's symbolic interactionism theory as an analytical tool. The Unan-Unan tradition, as a sacred five-year ritual of the Tengger Hindu community, not only carries spiritual meanings such as warding off evil and purifying nature but also serves as a space for social interaction actively involving the Muslim community, particularly in social, cultural, and logistical aspects. Cultural symbols such as offerings, mantras, and collective prayers are interpreted as the result of negotiations and the formation of cross-religious collective identity. The research findings indicate that the symbolism in this tradition represents values of tolerance, mutual aid, and teposliro, thereby strengthening an inclusive and harmonious social structure within a multicultural society. The Unan-Unan ceremony serves as tangible evidence that a cultural approach can create spaces for tolerance and harmony among religious groups without erasing their respective identities. Thus, this tradition is not only significant as a cultural heritage but also as a model of diversity and social peace in Indonesia.

This study uses the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which utilizes local potential and assets as the basis for community development. The results show that the three aspects—tahsin education, social donations, and cultural learning—run synergistically and consistently. This collaboration contributes to the formation of the spiritual, social, and cultural character of students. The study recommends strengthening cooperation between Islamic boarding schools, the community, and donors to continuously improve the quality of education and welfare of students.

The development of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube has resulted in a major transformation in the way people communicate and interact, especially among Generation Z. This generation, born between 1997 and 2012, was formed in a digital environment rich in information and high social interaction. This study aims to uncover the psychological impacts of excessive social media use, such as the emergence of feelings of fear of missing out (FoMO), anxiety, low self-confidence, and identity crisis. Various studies have shown that high frequency of social media use is closely related to increased social pressure and mental health disorders. From an Islamic perspective, the Qur'an as a guide for Muslims offers spiritual solutions that can help balance the challenges of this digital era. This research underlines the importance of a faith-based approach to addressing the negative impacts of social media, and invites the younger generation to return to Qur'anic values in order to achieve inner peace and strengthen their relationship with Allah SWT.

Through a historical-descriptive approach. This paper examines the developmental trajectories and growth dynamics of the two institutions, as well as their important roles in shaping the identity and direction of Islamic education in Indonesia. This article examines the foundational role of traditional methods in Arabic language instruction by exploring classical pedagogies rooted in Islamic educational heritage. Amid the rising dominance of modern and communicative approaches, a critical reassessment of historical methods—such as imlāʾ, talqīn, qirāʾah jahrīyah, ḥifẓ, and tarjamah—is necessary to understand their pedagogical strengths, limitations, and philosophical underpinnings. This study employs a reflective literature-based method that draws upon classical Islamic texts, modern comparative analyses, and recent academic contributions to reconstruct the theoretical framework of traditional instruction. Findings reveal that while classical methods emphasized memorization, authority, and textual mastery, they also embodied a coherent epistemology centered on ethical formation (adab), teacher–student transmission (taqlīd), and spiritual-intellectual integration. These methods were not only instructional techniques but were embedded within broader ontological and axiological assumptions about knowledge, language, and human development. The study argues that rather than being entirely outdated, elements of traditional pedagogy remain relevant and can be selectively integrated into modern educational models to balance structure with creativity, discipline with dialogue. By critically reviewing classical pedagogies, this article contributes to the discourse on Arabic language curriculum reform, especially in Islamic institutions seeking to preserve identity while engaging contemporary educational challenges
