Biology learning, particularly the topic of the classification of living organisms, is often considered difficult and boring by some students. To address this challenge, a more engaging and interactive approach is needed. One effective solution is to utilize game-based technology, such as Wordwall, which allows students to actively learn through various educational games. This study aims to enhance student engagement in learning the classification of living organisms using interactive Wordwall games. Through a community service method, this activity involved teachers and students from several schools to integrate Wordwall as a learning tool. The interactive games provided by Wordwall include various types of activities, such as puzzles, quizzes, and matching games, designed to help students better understand the concepts of classification of living organisms. The implementation of this program is expected to improve student motivation, involvement, and understanding of the material. Furthermore, it is hoped that the use of this technology will provide a more enjoyable learning experience and increase the effectiveness of classroom learning. The evaluation conducted shows a significant improvement in student engagement, as well as a better understanding of the material compared to traditional teaching methods.

This research aims to determine the relationship between motivation for studying biology in class XI SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a type of descriptive research, the method used in this research is the correlational method. The sampling technique in this research used a saturated sampling technique. The results of data analysis, the correlation coefficient (rcount) is 0.43 with a significance level of 5%, which has a correlation in the low category. From hypothesis testing, it is obtained that tcount (4.83) > ttable (3.7). This means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Then, from the results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination, the variable Learning Motivation (X) makes a positive contribution to the learning outcomes (Y) obtained by students by 18%, while 82% is determined by other variables or factors that influence student learning motivation which are not discussed in this research. The results of this research show that "There is a relationship between learning motivation and biology learning outcomes for class XI SMA Negeri 3 Siak Hulu for the 2022/2023 academic year with a sufficient category of 0.43"

This research aims to develop learning tools based on science process skills on ecosystem materials at SMA Negeri 11 Enrekang. The research focuses on creating teaching modules and learner worksheets (LKPD) that can increase students' understanding and active involvement in biology learning. This study uses a 4-D development model consisting of four stages: definition, design, development, and deployment, with this research limited to the development stage. The methodology used involves analyzing the needs of students and teachers, designing learning tools, and testing the validity and practicality of the developed tools. The validity test involved two expert validators, while the practicality test was carried out by involving teachers at SMA Negeri 11 Enrekang. The assessment is carried out through a questionnaire that measures the validity and practicality of the learning tools. The results showed that the learning tools developed received an excellent validity assessment, with a "very valid" score for the teaching module and "valid" for the LKPD. The practicality test also showed positive results, with the learning tools rated "very practical" by teachers. These findings indicate that science process skills-based learning tools effectively improve students' understanding of ecosystem materials. This research significantly contributes to developing process skills-based learning tools, which can be adapted in other schools. Further research could test the applicability of these devices to other materials and in different schools to expand their application in biology learning.

Education in Indonesia continues to grow, but the main challenge in learning Biology, especially in cell material, is the lack of student involvement. Many students rely more on memorization methods than understanding concepts, which impacts their low learning outcomes. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of  the Plants vs Zombies game-based learning method in improving the cognitive learning outcomes of students in grades XI-B at SMA Negeri 1 Tondano, especially in cell biology materials. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach, which is carried out in two cycles. In the first cycle, students were invited to learn through the Plants vs Zombies game which was integrated with the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model. Data is collected through observation and cognitive tests to measure student learning outcomes. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes. The average score of students increased from 71.2 to 87.27, with the highest score reaching 92.3 and the lowest score being 76.9. Students also show improvements in engagement, collaboration, and motivation to learn. This research indicates that the application of games as learning media can make abstract biology material more interesting and easy to understand. In addition, this study also highlights the important role of teachers in facilitating game-based learning. The implications of this study show that game-based methods can be an innovative solution in improving the quality of learning in the 21st century.

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the discovery learning model assisted by animated videos in improving student learning outcomes on the material of the digestive system in humans in class VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Bolaang. This model was chosen because it can encourage students to participate more actively in learning, while also using technology to help understand more complex material. This study uses the Classroom Action Research approach which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection to evaluate and improve the learning process. The results of the study showed that the application of the discovery learning model assisted by animated videos succeeded in improving student learning outcomes. In the first cycle, only 23.33% of students achieved complete learning, but in the second cycle, the percentage of students who completed increased to 86.66%. This increase occurs because students are starting to be more active in group discussions and more confident in expressing opinions. The use of animated videos also helps students understand the material in a more visual and fun way. This research makes an important contribution to the development of technology-based learning methods, especially in biology learning. These findings suggest that animated videos in learning can improve student engagement and their learning outcomes. This study suggests that further research be conducted to explore the application of this model to other subjects or at higher levels of education, in order to identify its broader benefits in educational contexts.

Learning is a process, an activity and not a result or goal. Learning is not just remembering, but broader than that, namely experiencing. This article discusses how to apply the PBL (Problem Based Learning) learning model in increasing student activity. This research is classified as qualitative descriptive research. In the learning process, students tend to get bored and less interested in the ongoing learning process because the method used is only lectures and is monotonous. Student activity in the learning process also has an important role in learning outcomes. The project based learning learning model is a scientific approach which consists of several stages, including observing, asking, collecting information, reasoning and communicating. Through these various stages students can increase their role in the learning process.

Studying biology serves as a means to enhance understanding, abilities, perspectives, principles, and ecological accountability. Biology is the scientific discipline that seeks to understand the natural world. Learning biology entails more than simply acquiring factual knowledge, concepts, or principles; it is also an exploratory endeavor. This research aims to discuss problem-based learning (PBL), which can improve the learning outcomes of class XI biology students on plant tissue material and can be used as an alternative learning model. This research uses classroom action research (PTK), which includes four stages: planning, implementing actions, observation,  and reflection, which aim to improve the learning process. PTK is an activity that involves testing an idea in practice, which can improve and increase the quality of the teaching and learning process. The application of the PBL model was able to improve student learning outcomes, especially in biology subjects with plant tissue material for class XI students at SMA N 2 Langowan. During the pre-cycle, the average value was 5.7. In cycle I, it climbed to an average value of 7.3. In cycle II, it further increased to an average value of 8.4. Meanwhile, the completeness of student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle was 20%, while in the first cycle, it was 67%, then grew again in the second cycle, specifically 87%. Based on the aforementioned research findings, it can be inferred that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model has led to an improvement in the academic performance of Biology students at SMAN 2 Langowan.
