Islamic Religious Education (IRE) plays a crucial role in shaping the moral character of students at the elementary school level. However, learning methods used in IRE classrooms often remain conventional and teacher-centered, resulting in low student engagement and limited understanding of religious material. In response to the educational demands of the 21st century, a transformation in learning strategies is necessary. This study explores the implementation of active learning methods Card Sort, The Power of Two, and Snowballing as innovative approaches to revitalize IRE instruction. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were gathered through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and supporting documentation. The findings reveal that Card Sort enhances students’ ability to visually organize and connect religious concepts, The Power of Two facilitates deeper comprehension through peer discussion, and Snowballing promotes collaborative knowledge construction in stages. These methods contribute to a more interactive, student-centered, and meaningful learning process. Moreover, the integration of these strategies helps improve students' critical thinking, communication, and social-emotional skills while strengthening their internalization of Islamic values. Despite challenges such as instructional planning and classroom management, active learning techniques offer promising potential to transform IRE learning into a dynamic and participatory experience. The study provides practical recommendations for educators and school administrators to develop more effective and engaging IRE strategies.

Abstract. Language acquisition and learning are two fundamental processes in the development of individual language skills, where language acquisition occurs naturally from an early age through interaction with the environment, while language learning takes place in a structured manner through formal teaching methods. This article aims to analyze the principles of language learning, age differences in language learning, and supporting factors that influence the effectiveness of language acquisition. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, and data is obtained from academic journals, research articles, and relevant literature. The results of the study indicate that children are superior in language learning compared to adults, especially in terms of speed and flexibility in absorbing new languages. By understanding the dynamics of language acquisition and learning, teaching methods can be adjusted to increase the effectiveness of language acquisition. Abstrak. This study aims to evaluate the Reading Camp program as an effort to improve students’ reading literacy at SDI Bertingkat Oepura 4 by employing formative and summative evaluation models. The Reading Camp is implemented routinely through engaging methods and is differentiated according to students’ reading proficiency levels. A qualitative-descriptive approach was used, with data gathered via interviews and documentation. Results show that the Reading Camp enhances reading skills, enriches vocabulary, and fosters students’ writing abilities and critical thinking. Active student participation and supporting facilities such as reading corners were found to play a crucial role in nurturing reading interest. Challenges identified include a decline in reading ability after long breaks and students’ lack of confidence when joining groups at different levels. Formative evaluation supports process improvement, while summative evaluation confirms the program’s effectiveness in achieving its objectives. The study underscores the need for sustained literacy strategies, improved learning resources, and ongoing teacher training to optimize literacy programs in elementary schools.

Improving students' Biology learning outcomes is a major challenge in the learning process in high school, especially when the material taught is abstract and complex, such as the human digestive system. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Problem-Based learning model assisted by mind mapping in improving the learning outcomes and activities of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. Each cycle involves planning, action execution, observation, and reflection activities, with data collection through observation, testing, and documentation. The results of the study showed a significant increase in learning activities and student learning outcomes. The average learning activity increased from 54.6% in the first cycle to 81% in the second cycle, while the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes increased from 59% to 88%. This increase is influenced by the active involvement of students in group discussions, visualisation of concepts through mind mapping, and the role of teachers as facilitators in problem-based learning. These findings indicate that the integration of the Problem-Based model with mind mapping is effective in building critical thinking skills, improving concept understanding, and encouraging active student participation. The implications of this study show the importance of implementing innovative learning strategies to improve the quality of Biology learning in secondary schools.

Vocational high schools (SMK) play an important role in preparing students for the world of work. However, student learning outcomes in the subject of Electrical Lighting Installation at SMK Negeri 5 Kota Padang are still relatively low, with an average pretest score of 57.34. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model in improving student learning outcomes. The research method used was classroom action research with 32 students from class XI TITL as subjects. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, and observations of student activities during learning. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of STAD successfully improved student learning outcomes significantly, with an average post-test score of 82.19 and an N-Gain Score of 0.58 (moderate category). Academic achievement also increased from 15.6% to 75%. Further analysis revealed that collaborative interactions within groups, the reward system, and active student participation were key factors contributing to the success of this method. However, challenges such as time management and low student engagement require attention. It is concluded that the STAD model is effective in improving students' learning outcomes in the subject of Electrical Lighting Installation, both in terms of cognitive aspects and social skills. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers implement STAD with proper syntax and consider developing supporting media such as digital simulations to optimize the learning process.
