Employee engagement is critical to organizational performance, employee well-being, and long-term sustainability. In hybrid work contexts, generational differences have become increasingly evident, particularly between Generation Y and Generation Z employees. Generation Y tends to emphasize work–life balance, career development, and meaningful collaboration, while Generation Z prioritizes flexibility, job security, digital integration, and the use of technology in the workplace. This study adopts a systematic literature review (SLR) approach by synthesizing findings from various peer-reviewed studies related to employee engagement and hybrid work practices across generations. The review focuses on identifying key factors that influence employee engagement in modern work environments. The results indicate that hybrid work can significantly enhance employee engagement when organizations provide flexibility, autonomy, adequate technological support, professional development opportunities, and fair reward systems. In addition, supportive organizational culture and effective leadership are important in maintaining employee motivation and commitment. However, differences in generational expectations require organizations to implement adaptive managerial strategies, including flexible work policies, personalized communication approaches, and inclusive leadership practices to strengthen employee engagement across different generations in hybrid work settings.

The increasing complexity of urban road networks demands intelligent navigation systems capable of determining optimal routes efficiently. This research implements the Dijkstra Shortest Path algorithm to optimize route search on a location navigation system in Medan City. The system models a road network as a weighted graph comprising 57 strategic locations and over 90 road connections, represented using adjacency list data structures. The Dijkstra algorithm, implemented in Python using the heapq module for priority queue management, achieves an optimal time complexity of O((V+E) log V). The system features five main functions: shortest route search, popular routes, location listing, dynamic location addition, and dynamic road connection addition. System testing using a case study from Kualanamu Airport to the University of North Sumatra (USU) yielded an optimal route of 16.5 km through 4 road segments. Results demonstrate that the system successfully determines the most efficient route, provides accurate distance and travel time information for multiple transport modes (motorcycle, car, walking), and presents step-by-step journey guidance. This research contributes as a practical reference for applying shortest path algorithms in urban areas and serves as a foundation for developing more complex navigation applications in the future.

Laparotomy is a major surgical procedure associated with a high risk of acute postoperative pain. According to Gan (2017), if pain is not properly managed, it can progress to chronic pain. (Toro et al., 2018) reported that severe pain on the first postoperative day is still commonly found in laparotomy patients, while (Small & Laycock, 2020) indicated that moderate to severe pain within the first 24 hours following major surgery remains a significant clinical issue. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of pharmacological pain management following laparotomy under general anesthesia, specifically to identify the types of opioid analgesics used, analyze their effectiveness in reducing pain intensity, identify side effects, and examine administration techniques and routes. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method following the PRISMA guidelines. Literature searches were conducted in the PubMed, ScienceDirect, and SpringerLink databases covering the years 2015–2026. The included studies comprised randomized controlled trials (RCTs), cohort studies, and retrospective studies addressing opioid pharmacological pain management in adult patients following laparotomy under general anesthesia. Study quality assessment was performed using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) instrument. A total of 11 studies met the inclusion criteria. The results of the systematic literature review indicate that opioids are effective in reducing postoperative pain following laparotomy under general anesthesia. The most commonly used opioids are morphine, fentanyl, and oxycodone. Of all the opioids reviewed, oxycodone provided the best pain control, while intrathecal morphine was most effective in reducing the need for supplemental opioids during the early postoperative period. Other opioids, such as extended-release dinalbuphine sebacate and tegileridine, are also effective, but the number of studies is still limited. The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, pruritus, sedation, and dizziness. Pharmacological pain management using opioids is effective in reducing the intensity of postoperative pain following laparotomy under general anesthesia. Morphine, fentanyl, and oxycodone are the most commonly used opioids. Oxycodone and intrathecal morphine have shown good results in improving pain control and reducing the need for supplemental opioids. The selection of opioid type, dosage, and administration technique must be tailored to the patient’s clinical condition to achieve optimal analgesia with minimal side effects.

Background: Nallaswamy Class III alveolar ridge refers to an edentulous alveolar bone that has undergone resorption, resulting in a moderate ridge height with a knife-edge ridge form. This condition is relatively common and has been reported to reach a prevalence of approximately 89% in edentulous mandibles. Objective: To describe the prosthodontic treatment implications in patients with Nallaswamy Class III alveolar ridge using an acrylic resin removable partial denture (RPD). Case Report: A 22-year-old female patient presented to RSGM Soelastri with complaints of discomfort while chewing due to the loss of several posterior teeth in the mandible. The teeth had been extracted three years earlier due to caries and retained roots. Intraoral examination revealed healthy dentition in the maxillary arch and edentulous areas at teeth 35, 36, 45, and 46 in the mandibular arch. The alveolar ridge in the edentulous area showed a knife-edge form with moderate height, consistent with Nallaswamy Class III. Discussion: The condition was classified as Applegate-Kennedy Class III modification 1P with bilateral bounded saddle areas, which may affect mastication, aesthetics, and speech. Conclusion: Partial edentulism with a knife-edge alveolar ridge can be effectively managed using an acrylic resin removable partial denture.

Blasting is a critical method for overburden removal in open-pit coal mines, where fragmentation quality directly impacts loading efficiency and operational costs. This study aims to analyze the actual fragmentation resulting from overburden blasting at Pit 4 Middle of PT. Victor Dua Tiga Mega, Central Kalimantan, to predict fragmentation using the Kuz-Ram model, and to evaluate the conformity of both results against the company standard (boulder size ≤144.6 cm or ≥50 cm for analysis). The research employed a quantitative comparative method. Primary data included blasting geometry and photographs of muck piles from 10 blasting events, which were analyzed using WipFrag software to obtain actual fragmentation distribution. Secondary data comprised rock characteristics and explosive properties for Kuz-Ram prediction input. The results showed significant variation in actual boulder percentage (≥50 cm), ranging from 6.19% to 32.91% with an average of 16.05% (medium category). Statistical analysis revealed a very weak negative correlation (r = -0.21) between powder factor (PF) and boulder percentage, indicating that PF is not the dominant factor within the consistent application range (0.21-0.23 kg/bcm). Comparison with Kuz-Ram predictions showed that the model consistently over-predicted coarse material, with an average difference of +25.21%, suggesting the need for rock factor (A) recalibration. It is concluded that the blasting results are inconsistent, strongly influenced by uncontrollable factors such as geological conditions. Recommendations include geometri evaluation, particularly burden and spacing, and calibration of the Kuz-Ram model for more accurate future predictions.

Divorce has become an increasingly common reality in Christian family life and poses serious challenges for the church in carrying out pastoral family ministry. Theologically, divorce stands in tension with Christian ethics, which views marriage as a sacred and covenantal institution established by God. This article aims to analyze Christian ethics regarding divorce from a biblical theological perspective and to examine its implications for family ministry within the context of Ketapang, West Kalimantan. This study employs a qualitative research method with a theological-normative and contextual approach through a literature review of biblical texts, theological books, and scholarly journals. The findings indicate that Scripture affirms marriage as God’s ideal will, while divorce is understood as a consequence of human sinfulness and relational brokenness. In the context of Ketapang, social, economic, and cultural factors contribute significantly to the vulnerability of families to divorce. Therefore, the church is called to develop a contextual family ministry that not only upholds Christian ethical norms but also embodies love, justice, forgiveness, and restoration for broken families. This article emphasizes that Christian ethics concerning divorce must be practiced pastorally and transformatively within the life of the local church.
