This research aims to identify challenges and solutions in implementing discussion learning methods in Indonesian language subjects. Through a literature review, it was found that the main challenges lie in low student participation, teachers' lack of ability to manage discussions, and limited time and resources. Apart from that, the heterogeneity of students' abilities is also an obstacle. To overcome these challenges, this research presents several solutions, including: creating a conducive learning environment, providing space for exploration for students, improving teacher skills, motivating students, and improving classroom management. By implementing these solutions in an integrated manner, it is hoped that discussion learning can become more effective and achieve the desired learning goals. This research concludes that the successful implementation of the discussion method is very dependent on the joint efforts of various parties, including teachers, students and schools. Thus, discussion learning can be an effective means for developing students' language, critical thinking and collaboration skills.

The aim of this research is to determine if the discussion method enhances student learning outcomes in social studies for SD/MI. A literature review approach was utilized to conduct this investigation. This method is based on several relevant articles that explore how discussion techniques influence learning outcomes in social studies at the SD and MI levels. Findings from various journals indicate that the discussion method significantly improves academic performance, and its implementation effectively boosts student achievement, particularly in social studies classes for elementary students.

Aqidah Akhlak through a literature review that focuses on lecture and discussion methods. In learning Aqidah Akhlak, choosing the right method is the key to success in delivering material and shaping students' character. The lecture method is effective for delivering basic information systematically, while the discussion method emphasizes more on active student involvement and the development of critical thinking skills. This article reviews various scientific literature to analyze the advantages, disadvantages, and relevance of both methods in learning Aqidah Akhlak. The results of the study indicate that the use of both methods in an integrated manner can provide more optimal results, with lectures as an introduction and discussions as a deepening of the material. These findings provide a theoretical perspective for educators in designing effective learning strategies.

Jurnal Pelayanan dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Indonesia (JPPMI) 2024 Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Administrasi Yappi Makassar

Masalah utama dalam sosialisasi ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman pemuda Karanglo tentang Pajak Pertambahan Nilai (PPN), terutama dalam konteks penerapan pada kegiatan ekonomi mereka. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan mereka mengenai konsep dasar PPN, manfaatnya, serta tata cara penghitungan dan pelaporannya. Sosialisasi berlangsung selama satu bulan, diawali dengan observasi pada tanggal 4-10 Oktober, dilanjutkan dengan penyusunan materi pada tanggal 11-13 Oktober, pelaksanaan sosialisasi pada tanggal 3 November, dan evaluasi di hari yang sama. Metode yang digunakan mencakup observasi, penyusunan materi, penyampaian materi melalui diskusi interaktif dan simulasi, serta evaluasi untuk menilai hasil pemahaman peserta. Sebelum sosialisasi, pemuda Karanglo belum memahami konsep dasaar PPN, manfaat PPN serta kewajiban pelaporan dan setelah adanya sosialisasi ini hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan di kalangan pemuda Karanglo, meskipun beberapa peserta masih membutuhkan pendampingan untuk penerapan praktis.

Abstrak Studi ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan ironi dari keterlibatan Organisasi Masyarakat Keagamaan dalam sektor pertambangan energi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dan mengkaji dampak Peraturan Pemerintah (PP) No. 25 Tahun 2024, seperti yang diubah oleh PP No. 96 Tahun 2021, tentang Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Usaha Pertambangan Mineral dan Batu Bara. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa meskipun izin tambang yang diberikan kepada Ormas dapat berdampak besar pada tata kelola pertambangan, kebijakan ini menimbulkan kontroversi karena kemungkinan melanggar Undang-Undang Minerba. Ironisnya, dampak pertambangan yang dihasilkan oleh Ormas justru diperburuk. Fokus utama diskusi ini adalah konsekuensi hukum, ekonomi, dan lingkungan dari kebijakan ini. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa keterlibatan Ormas dalam industri pertambangan berpotensi meningkatkan risiko kerusakan lingkungan yang signifikan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kebijakan publik harus dievaluasi secara menyeluruh untuk memastikan bahwa pengelolaan sumber daya mineral tetap berkelanjutan secara ekologis.

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) learning model with the discussion method in the experimental class compared to the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) combined with the lecture method in the control class in improving student learning outcomes in Economics. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a pre-test and post-test design, involving 30 grade X students in each group. The results showed that the application of PjBL with discussion provided a more significant increase in student learning outcomes compared to the IBL model with lectures. The PjBL model encourages students to be active, creative, and collaborative in learning, while the lecture method in IBL is more passive. In conclusion, the PjBL model with discussion is recommended to improve the quality of learning, in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum approach which emphasizes interactive and contextual learning experiences.

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of cultural arts. The reason is that the use of the learning model and students' understanding of learning is not optimal. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of cultural arts learning outcomes by using the Discussion-Demonstration method in class XI.1 of SMA Negeri 1 Kuantan Mudik. This research is a Class Action Research (PTK) that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. It is carried out in two cycles, namely cycle I consists of 2 meetings and cycle II consists of 1 meeting. Each cycle includes four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study are teachers and students of class XI.1 of SMA Negeri 1 Kuantan Mudik with a total of 36 people. The results of the study showed an increase in: a) the implementation in the aspect of teachers in the first cycle of meeting 1 with an average of 3.06 with good criteria, the first cycle of meeting 2 with an average of 3.41 with good criteria and the second cycle of 3.93 (very good), while in the aspect of students in the first cycle of meeting 1 with an average of 1.87 (not good), the first cycle of meeting 2 with an average of 3.31 (good) and the second cycle of 3.87 (very good),  b) Assessment of student learning outcomes in cycle I with an average score of 66 and cycle II with an average score of 90. Based on these results, it can be concluded that using the Discussion-Demonstration Method can improve the learning outcomes of cultural arts in class XI.1 students of SMA Negeri 1 Kuantan Mudik.

Bangsal perawatan dan kebidanan merupakan fasilitas pelayanan Rumah Sakit yang menjadi bagian dari upaya penyembuhan atau mengatasi masalah klien. Performance manajemen bangsal, tidak terlepas dari peran seorang kepala bidang keperawatan dikarenakan kemampuan manajerial seorang kepala ruang rawat dapat menentukan keberhasilan pelayanan keperawatan dan kebidanan serta pelayanan pertama yang didapatkan pasien adalah bangsal. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan bidan dan perawat, khususnya manajemen pelayanan rawat inap. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan pada tanggal 1 September 2023 di Rumah Sakit Harapan Bunda, dengan metode seminar dan diskusi. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah bidan dan perawat memahami manajemen bangsal, perencanaan sumber daya, timbang terima pasien, ronde keperawatan dan supervisi keperawatan. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa pemberian seminar dan diskusi dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan bidan dan perawat tentang manajemen pelayanan rawat inap.

Pola hidup sehat merupakan aspek krusial bagi pemuda, terutama di wilayah pedesaan. Namun, berbagai tantangan seperti keterbatasan pengetahuan dan fasilitas seringkali menghambat penerapannya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran pemuda Desa Oringbele, Kecamatan Witihama, Kabupaten Flores Timur tentang Pentingnya pola hidup sehat melalui sosialisasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah presentasi materi, diskusi interaktif, dan tanya jawab. Materi mencakup definisi, manfaat, komponen pola hidup sehat, serta peran strategis pemuda. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang pola hidup sehat dan motivasi untuk menjadi agen perubahan di masyarakat. Kegiatan ini menjadi langkah awal dalam membangun kesadaran kolektif dan menciptakan lingkungan desa yang lebih sehat serta produktif dengan pemuda sebagai motor penggeraknya.

This research aims to increase students' learning motivation using the discussion method in class IV science and science subjects at SD Negeri 1 Towangsan. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of this research were 16 grade IV students at Towangsan State Elementary School. The object of this research is the application of discussion methods and student learning motivation. The data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires and documentation. The data obtained were in the form of questionnaire results, observation results and documentation results as primary data, as well as learning results tests as supporting data. The data analysis techniques used are quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results of this research indicate that the application of the discussion method in science and science learning can increase the learning motivation of class IV students at SD Negeri 1 Towangsan. This is proven by the average science learning motivation of students increasing from cycle I by 67.43% to 75.31% in cycle II and is in the good category. In line with this, the average learning evaluation results increased, namely from cycle I it was 65.00% in the medium category, increasing to 78.12% in the good category. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the Discussion Method applied in science and science learning is effective in increasing the learning motivation of class IV students at SD Negeri 1 Towangsan.

The findings from this study indicate that a constant variable does not contribute significantly to the correlation analysis, but it can still show a significant relationship in the regression analysis.

The aim of this research is to describe the reading interest of fifth-grade students at SD 101776 Sampali, identify the contributing factors, and seek solutions to improve it. The subjects of this study are the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 101776 Sampali. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques include interviews and questionnaires to ensure objective data gathering. Based on observations and interviews with the fifth-grade teacher at SD Negeri 101776 Sampali, supported by distributing questionnaires to the students, it was found that students show little enthusiasm for reading and seldom seek out answers on their own. Instead, they often ask for answers that are already available in the reading materials. Students tend to read only when instructed by the teacher. Even reading textbooks is often done only when there are exams or tests. The low interest in reading among students is also influenced by the type of reading materials available. Typically, students are required to read materials related to their school subjects and are pressured by upcoming exams. This leads to a situation where students view reading as a means to achieve grades rather than for enjoyment.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the perpetration of the discussion system in developing cognitive and affective capacities in the literacy of aqidah and akhlak of scholars at the Muhammadiyah Tlogodalem Kertek Wonosobo Elementary School in2023/2024.This study uses a descriptive qualitative system. Research data were collected through party observation, interviews with preceptors and scholars, and document analysis.The results of the study showed that the perpetration of the discussion system was proven to be effective in developing scholars' cognitive and affective capacities. scholars' cognitive capacities increased significantly after sharing in learning with the discussion system. This is substantiated by the increase in pupil learning issues on the cognitive capability test. scholars' affective capacities also increased after sharing in learning with the discussion system. This is substantiated by changes in scholars' stations and geste that are more positive, similar as being more active in literacy, more regardful of other people's opinions, and more tolerant of differences.

Pembelajaran berbasis kritis diakui sebagai pendekatan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir analitis dan pemahaman teks akademik pada anak usia dini. Studi ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas strategi ini dalam konteks pendidikan Indonesia, di mana minat baca dan kemampuan literasi masih rendah. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tinjauan literatur dan observasi lapangan di TK Kartika 1-1. Tinjauan literatur menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis kritis dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman teks akademik, dengan anak-anak yang terlibat dalam aktivitas kritis menunjukkan kemampuan analitis, sintesis, dan evaluasi yang lebih baik. Observasi lapangan mendukung temuan ini, menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca dan memahami teks akademik, serta partisipasi aktif dalam diskusi kelas. Guru melaporkan bahwa strategi ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tetapi juga motivasi dan keterlibatan mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyarankan pentingnya integrasi strategi pembelajaran berbasis kritis dalam kurikulum pendidikan anak usia dini, serta pelatihan yang memadai bagi guru untuk mengimplementasikan pendekatan ini. Meski hasilnya menjanjikan, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan sampel lebih besar untuk memastikan generalisasi temuan ini di berbagai konteks pendidikan anak usia dini diIndonesia.

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman anggota Karang Taruna RW 04 Kelurahan Krobokan, Semarang Barat, mengenai etika berbahasa di media sosial sebagai upaya pencegahan ujaran kebencian. Pelatihan yang berlangsung selama dua hari pada tanggal 22 dan 23 Maret 2024 ini melibatkan berbagai metode seperti ceramah, diskusi interaktif, workshop, simulasi, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), pelatihan literasi digital, kampanye media sosial, role-playing, dan evaluasi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam berkomunikasi secara bijak dan sopan di media sosial. Evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta merasa pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat dan mengubah cara mereka berinteraksi di media sosial. Pelatihan ini berhasil menciptakan lingkungan media sosial yang lebih positif dan konstruktif, serta mengurangi potensi penyebaran ujaran kebencian.

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan K3 dalam bentuk edukasi agar dapat membantu siswa mengidentifikasi bahaya di lingkungan sekolah, mengembangkan kebiasaan yang baik tentang keselamatan dan kesehatan, membantu anak-anak memahami pentingnya menjaga keselamatan dan kesehatan diri sendiri dan orang lain, membantu untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup siswa dengan mengurangi risiko kecelakaan dan cedera, serta meningkatkan kesehatan, dan juga meningkatkan kesejahteraan. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian meliputi sosialisasi, diskusi dan tanya-jawab, dilanjutkan dengan pemasangan display. Dari hasil evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman siswa sebesar 92% setelah kegiatan, juga terdapat display tentang K3 di lokasi sekolah sebagai pengingat dan pemberi petunjuk. Kegiatan berlangsung lancar dan sesuai dengan target dan tujuan.

This research aims to describe students’ ability in writing persuasive text before and after using group discussion method in class VIII students of SMPN 37 Medan. The research method used was experimental with one group pretest postest design. The instruments used were pretest and postest written tests. The results showed that before using the group discussion method, students’ ability in writing persuasive texts was still lacking with an average score 59,37. However, after using the group discussion method, students’ abilities improved to good with an average score of 77,73. Data analysis showed a significant effect of group discussion method on students’ persuasive text writing ability. This is evidenced by the result of statistical calculations that show the normality test of pretest and postest data is normally distributed, the homogeneity test states that the sample is homogeneous, and the hypothesis test rejects H0 and accepts Ha. This research implies that the group discussion method is effective in improving students’ persuasive text writing ability in class VIII of SMPN 37 Medan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa kelas IV di SD 101764 Bandar Klippa melalui penerapan metode diskusi kelompok. Minat baca yang rendah dapat berdampak pada prestasi akademik dan kemampuan literasi siswa. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatkannya sejak dini. Metode diskusi dipilih karena dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif, interaktif, dan menyenangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 siswa kelas IV SDN 101764 Bandar Klippa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat baca siswa setelah diterapkannya metode diskusi. Pada siklus I, persentase siswa yang berminat membaca adalah 64%, kemudian meningkat menjadi 88% pada siklus II. Kesimpulannya, penerapan metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa kelas IV.
