This study aims to examine the role of academic guidance and counseling in helping SMA Negeri 1 Lembang students overcome mathematics learning difficulties. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with the main data obtained through in-depth interviews with students. The results show that academic guidance can improve students' understanding of math learning strategies, although its effectiveness depends on the quality and frequency of guidance. In addition, counseling guidance is proven to help students manage learning stress, especially through a personalized and empathic approach. Individual guidance approaches are more effective in meeting the needs of students with specific learning styles, while group guidance encourages collaboration and self-confidence. Teachers play an important role in creating a supportive learning environment, although some students still face challenges due to cognitive constraints and low motivation. This study concludes that quality mentoring can improve students' confidence, concept understanding and academic performance.

This research discusses the analysis of students' learning difficulties in understanding cube building material. Mathematics is a basic science that must be studied from an early age because it is closely related to other sciences in order to advance to the next level. The research was created to solve students' learning difficulties at SD Negeri 104208 Cinta Rakyat. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The results obtained are that students still lack understanding of the material that has been presented by the teacher in the process of teaching and learning activities, there are many students who do not understand the material explained by the teacher. It can be seen that students' learning difficulties are also determined by low interest in learning and Lack of understanding of the material taught. Several factors include disinterest in mathematics and ineffective use of learning media. This research suggests that schools are expected to innovate in the use of learning media and learning methods that are changed and adapted to students' learning needs and interests.

One of the areas of mathematics that studies the concept of flat and spatial shapes is geometry. Thus, in elementary school, geometry concepts are taught gradually in concrete, semi-concrete, and abstract forms. The research method using literature review. The results show that there are many reasons why many students in elementary school face difficulties in learning geometry materials. Therefore, this study will investigate the various reasons why students face difficulties in learning geometry materials.

The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes individual freedom to learn according to their potential. Thus, teachers face the challenge of providing instruction that suits students' varying abilities. In addition, many students face difficulties in multiplication and division when studying mathematics. So, the aim of this research is to find out whether student learning outcomes are better by using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in learning Indonesian in one grade. Learning Indonesian in first grade often faces problems in improving students' skills. Consequently, the aim of this research is to apply the PBL learning model and learning approach at the appropriate level (TaRL) at SDN Pakis V Surabaya. The aim of this research is to explain the use of TaRL in Indonesian language learning in grade 1 using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews and document analysis. The research results show that efforts to improve student learning outcomes are through the use of TaRL in a process that includes classifying learning needs, learning design, implementation, and student reflection and evaluation.

This research aims to increase fourth grade elementary school students’ understanding of the concept of equivalent fractions through peer tutoring. The research was conducted at SDN Ponteh 1, Galis District, Pamekasan Regency, using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach which consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The peer tutoring method allows students who are superior in understanding the material to help their friends who are experiencing difficulties. The research result showed that this method was effective in increasing students’ understanding, with 100% of students succeeding in achieving learning mastery in this first cycle. The application of the peer tutoring method makes it easier for students to understand the material because of the simple and relevant delivery from their peers. These findings indicate that the peer tutoring method can be an effective solution in learning mathematics, especially equivalent fraction material at the elementary school level

Mathematics is an important subject for students to master in facing the challenges of the 21st century. However, there are still many students who experience difficulties in learning mathematics. This is because learning mathematics is abstract and far from life. Therefore, the student mathematics education study program community service team introduced the Indonesian realistic mathematics education (PMRI) learning model at MTs Janki Dausat to increase student motivation in learning mathematics. As a result of this activity, students become motivated and enjoy learning mathematics, which can be seen from the students' enthusiasm and activeness in learning mathematics.

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the numeracy learning method using the Gasing Mathematics approach which is associated with traditional games for grade 4 students at SD N 1 Demulih. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method to describe the application of Gasing Mathematics in the numeracy learning process. Data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results showed that the combination of Gasing Mathematics and traditional games such as poh-pohan, gowak-gowakan, and meyong-meyongan succeeded in creating an interactive, fun, and effective learning environment in improving mathematical understanding. The integration of traditional games with Gasing Mathematics makes it easier for students to overcome numeracy difficulties, increases participation, and motivates them in the learning process. This article plays a role in providing new insights into innovative and contextual mathematics learning strategies, especially in supporting the improvement of numeracy skills in elementary schools.

The mathematics learning results of grade IV students of SDN Dukuh Kupang II/489 Surabaya were initially still relatively low, there were still many students who had difficulties with the concept of presenting bar chart data. For this reason, the researcher conducted a study with the aim of finding out the improvement of student learning results by using the Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) approach in grade IV mathematics learning at SDN Dukuh Kupang II/489 Surabaya. This research uses the type of Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subject of the study was 28 students in class IV. In the 1st cycle stage, only 32.2% of students achieved the completeness of learning results, this percentage then experienced a significant increase to 82.1% in the 2nd cycle. Based on this study, it can be concluded that the Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) approach can improve student learning results in mathematics subjects, especially data presentation materials in grade IV of SDN Dukuh Kupang II/489 Surabaya.

study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in understanding geometric shapes, particularly in surface area and volume, through the use of cube and rectangular prism teaching aids. Sixth-grade students at UPTD SD Negeri 3 Bakam often struggle with this topic, primarily due to difficulties in grasping multiplication concepts and related formulas. The method used in this research is a cooperative learning approach with teaching aids designed to facilitate student comprehension. The study was conducted in two cycles. In the pre-cycle phase, only 33.33% of the 21 students scored above the minimum passing grade (70), while 66.67% scored below it. After applying the method in Cycle I, learning mastery increased to 61.33%, with 12 students achieving a score of 70 or above. In Cycle II, learning outcomes improved significantly, with 95.33% of students achieving mastery. Additionally, the teacher's teaching effectiveness improved, with an average score of 82.38, categorized as good. The results indicate that the use of cube and rectangular prism teaching aids can enhance students' understanding of surface area and volume concepts, contributing significantly to their academic performance improvement

The methods used are tutoring and playing. The result of this activity is that the children are very enthusiastic and want to learn more about mathematics.

The drill method is serious repetitive activities do the same thing to strengthen or hone skills and make it permanent. The aim of this research is 1) To find out how to apply the drill method in mathematics lessons in class 4 at SDN 039 Air Terbit, 2) To find out whether the drill method is able to overcome students’ difficulties in understanding mathematics lessons, 3) To increase students’ learning motivation by applying the drill method in mathematics lessons in class 4 at SDN 039 Air Terbit. The method in this research uses classroom action research.. PTK is an approach to improving education through change by encouraging teachers to think about ttheir own practice so that they are critical of these actors an teachers want to change them. The results of this research are that students’ learning motivation is increasing. This can be seen from the results of the initial test. Learning engagement increased from 30% to 45% at the end of cycle 1 test and increased again at the end of cycle 2 test to 80%.  So from the test result above it can be concluded that learning using the drill method can increase students’ learning motivation in mathematics lessons, the material on operations for calculating fractions can be seen from the increased learning result, so student motivation also increases.

The recurring issue in the education sector is the low interest in learning and the difficulties children face in learning at school, particularly in Mathematics. These two aspects are crucial to address and minimize as they significantly impact students' learning outcomes. This study aims to identify the factors that influence children's interest in learning and the emergence of difficulties in learning Mathematics at the elementary school level. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Data were collected through the documentation of all articles related to interest and difficulties in learning Mathematics at the elementary school level from 2019-2023. Subsequently, the researchers reviewed these articles comprehensively. The articles used in this study include both national and international journal articles. The research findings indicate that there are two factors influencing interest and difficulties in learning Mathematics: internal factors (factors within the students) and external factors (environmental factors).

Mathematics is one of the important subjects. Mathematics is also a subject that is difficult to understand. Understanding concepts is the most important part of learning mathematics, meaning that in studying mathematics students must first understand mathematical concepts in order to be able to solve problems and be able to apply this learning in the real world. Based on direct observations and interviews with grade 6 teachers at SD Negeri 02 Getas, teachers have difficulties in the theme of lesson 3 about "Building Space" with basic competencies; 1) identify & compare geometric shapes; 2) calculating the surface area of the geometric shape; 3) calculate the volume of the geometric shape. This is what drives the need to develop game-based mathematics learning media. This game was created using Construct2 software as a 2D video game engine. The method used in this study is the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method. Mathematics is one of the important subjects. Mathematics is also a subject that is difficult to understand. This research explores the application of the Restitution Triangle method as a strategy to help students overcome difficulties in solving mathematical problems. This method focuses on a collaborative approach between teachers and students to identify the roots of mathematical problems experienced by students, and develop solutions through a structured thinking process. This research involves active participation from students in analyzing, planning, and including steps to solve mathematical problems with guidance from the teacher. The results of this research show that the application of the Restitution Triangle method can increase students' understanding of mathematical concepts and self-confidence in dealing with complex mathematical problems.

The shift from face-to-face learning to online and blended learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic presents challenges for educators and prospective teachers in designing effective instruction. One of the commonly used instructional media in online and blended learning is video. However, using video as a material delivery tool has its drawbacks, such as difficulties in monitoring student activities and assessing their understanding. This issue is also experienced by students of the Mathematics Study Program at Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia when using video as learning material. To address this problem, training was conducted for prospective teachers on designing instruction using videos integrated with the Edpuzzle platform. In this training, prospective teachers were taught to create notes and quizzes within videos, provide feedback and assessments, and monitor learning activities. Through this training, it is expected that prospective teachers can design interactive online and blended learning using video.

This study aims to improve the numeracy literacy skills of elementary school students through a game-based learning media approach. The background is the low numeracy literacy skills of Indonesian students compared to other countries, as shown by the results of the PISA and TIMSS tests. Many elementary school students still have difficulties in reading, understanding, and applying numerical information and basic mathematics in everyday life. The research method used is systematic literature review by analyzing journals related to improving numeracy literacy skills through game-based learning media. The results of the review show that the use of game-based learning media can effectively improve the numeracy literacy skills of elementary school students. Game-based learning is able to make math learning more interesting, interactive, and increase student motivation. The implication of this research is the importance of developing and implementing game-based learning media to improve students' numeracy literacy skills in elementary schools.

Students who have difficulty learning mathematics will often make mistakes in learning to count and mistakes in solving word problems in mathematics. The difficulties experienced by students are difficulty in working on story problems due to the inability to understand the meaning of the questions and confusion when determining what arithmetic operations will be used to solve the story problems. The purpose of this research was to analyze the learning difficulties experienced by students as well as the factors that caused students’ learning difficulties in working on multiplication questions in the form of stories in class II elementary school. The method used in this research is descriptive case study. The subjects of this research are students and teachers of class II A at SDN 15 ULU GADUT. The data collection procedures used in the research are test’s, interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research show that difficulties in learning mathematics include: 1) Difficulty in distinguishing multiplication problems from other material, 2) Student’s writing cannot be read, 3) Difficulty doing calculations in solving multiplication problems. Internal factors include: 1) Lack of enthusiasm for studying, 2) Low numeracy skills and difficulty understanding questions, 3) Not focusing on studying. External factors include: 1) Lack of attention from parents, 2) Often asking students to memorize multiplication, 3) Not using interesting learning media in teaching.

One of the significant challenges in the world of education is the learning difficulties experienced by students, including in the boarding school environment. The purpose of this service activity is to provide tutoring to grade VII students, especially class VII-C MTs Mambaul Ulum to help students overcome difficulties in learning mathematics. The method of implementing service activities consists of five main stages: 1) planning and preparation including taking care of permits to carry out service activities, conducting initial surveys to identify mathematical materials that are considered necessary for guidance, compiling teaching materials needed in tutoring activities, and determining the schedule for the implementation of tutoring activities; 2) providing pretest questions to determine students' learning abilities before tutoring activities are held; 3) the implementation of tutoring activities; 4) the provision of posttest questions to determine students' mathematics learning ability after tutoring activities, and; 5) evaluation. The results of this activity show that mathematics tutoring activities for grade VII students, especially grade VII-C MTs Mambaul Ulum, have proven to be effective in helping to overcome difficulties in learning mathematics. The increase in the average score from pretest to posttest, from 45 to 80, shows that students are able to understand and master the material taught.

This research aims to analyze the difficulties of fourth grade students at SDN Mekarjaya 14 in solving mathematics story problems. This research uses qualitative research with an inductive method. This research aims to gain knowledge based on correct and reliable data and facts about students' mathematics learning difficulties in the form of story problems. The research instrument used was observation of test questions in the form of stories. The technique for checking the validity of the data is using triangulation. Based on the results of observations, there were still many respondents who made mistakes in working on the questions, including mistakes in changing story questions into mathematical sentences and using arithmetic operations. In general, students have difficulty working on story problems which are presented in the form of story problems. Apart from that, respondents also did not master multiplying results up to 100. In accordance with findings in the field, it can be concluded that there were difficulties experienced by respondents, including difficulties in understanding concepts and material,master and use arithmetic operations, for example multiplication and division. Meanwhile, the factors that caused respondents to experience difficulty learning mixed arithmetic operations included their lack of mastery of the concepts of multiplication and division, and the lack of time provided by respondents to repeat lessons at home.

This research aims to understand and analyze the mathematics learning difficulties faced by class VII students at SMPN 35 Medan. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this research explores the factors that cause learning difficulties and provides solutions that can be implemented. The research method involves written tests and interviews with students and teachers. The results of the research reveal that students face challenges in understanding basic concepts such as algebra, linear equations, equivalent and non-equivalent comparisons, as well as plane figures and spatial figures. Internal and external factors, such as students’ cognitive abilities and less effective teaching methods, influence their mathematics performance. This research suggests a more interactive learning approach, training for teachers, collaboration between schools and parents, and regular evaluation to improve students’ mathematical understanding and performance in the future. Thus, this research makes a significant contribution to efforts to improve the quality of mathematics learning in schools.
