This article discusses the application of service learning as an educational approach that supports the preservation of cultural heritage and the strengthening of sustainable tourism in Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As one of the most important Hindu temple complexes in Southeast Asia, Batu Caves has become a symbol of cultural diversity and interreligious harmony. However, increased tourism activity has brought about various problems, such as environmental pollution, waste management issues, and the erosion of cultural values among visitors. To address these challenges, service-learning programs integrate academic theory with direct participation in the community, allowing students to actively engage in environmental conservation, cultural documentation, and the development of public education initiatives. Thru collaboration with temple managers, local communities, and tourists, students applied management concepts in real-world situations, including cleaning activities, maintaining tourist areas, developing educational materials on eco-tourism, and preserving traditional rituals thru cultural archiving. The implementation of this service learning not only enriches students' learning experiences but also raises public awareness about the importance of preserving Batu Caves as a sustainable cultural heritage site. Overall, this project demonstrates that service learning is a transformative pedagogical approach that connects academic goals with community development and cultivates future leaders who are socially responsible and culturally sensitive.

This research is motivated by the diversity of students found in Islamic boarding schools. Islamic boarding schools are an appropriate base for instilling religious and cultural values in students. Therefore, differences in race, ethnicity, customs, social class, and culture are not addressed with exclusive and fanatical attitudes to prevent conflict. The purpose of this research is to provide multicultural education management training in Islamic boarding schools as an educational alternative that can be applied to address the problems faced by students and the current multicultural society, so that each student can live side by side despite differences in harmony and peace in accordance with religious and cultural values. The research method used is qualitative with the PAR (Participatory Action Research) model. For data collection, in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation were used. The results of this study are that multicultural education management training is a preventive effort to address various problems and becomes a real solution to existing problems in Islamic boarding schools related to the religious and cultural values of students. In addition to being an alternative means of solving problems, multicultural education management training is also a means of fostering students so that they do not lose their cultural roots in accordance with religious values. Thus, the implementation of multicultural education management training can be said to be successful if it can produce students who have a tolerant attitude, are not hostile, and do not conflict caused by differences in culture, ethnicity, customs, social class, abilities, and others.

Indonesia, as a multicultural nation, demands that Christian Religious Education (PAK) practices focus not only on doctrinal teaching but also on character development for students, enabling them to live within cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity. Language is a crucial element in realizing inclusive education, as the use of impolite or offensive language can trigger prejudice, intolerance, and even bullying, as seen in the forced hijab case in Bantul. This study uses a literature review method to examine the role of language, politeness, and communication strategies in developing students who value pluralism and multiculturalism. The discussion demonstrates that politeness is the foundation of character development and reflects a person's moral values. Through strategies such as integrating Christian values into the curriculum, inclusive teaching methods, creating a school environment that supports diversity, and a holistic communication approach, Christian Religious Education can be a means of transformation that fosters tolerance and harmony. The results confirm that the use of polite and non-offensive language is a key aspect in developing students with character, who are inclusive, and capable of becoming agents of peace in a pluralistic society.

This study examines the interrelationship between the implementation of administrative ethics in civil service, the professionalism of State Civil Apparatus (ASN), and the quality of public service delivery at the Provincial Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of Central Kalimantan, employing a qualitative case study approach. Through in-depth interviews, structured observations, and document analysis, the research finds that integrity, transparency, and ethical accountability function not merely as moral norms but as structural foundations that reinforce ASN professionalism in performing service functions, particularly within licensing processes that demand administrative certainty and responsiveness. Empirical findings indicate that professionalism—reflected in technical competence, procedural discipline, and ethical commitment—acts as a catalyst linking ethical values to effective and adaptive public service performance. Nevertheless, the study also identifies structural and cultural impediments, including regulatory inconsistencies, fragmented coordination, and limited training opportunities, all of which hinder the internalization of ethical principles and professional practice within the bureaucracy. Theoretically, the study posits that harmonizing administrative ethics and professionalism is a prerequisite for achieving key indicators of good governance, such as responsiveness, service effectiveness, and institutional accountability. Practically, the study recommends strengthening ethics training, enhancing ASN professional capacity, and advancing managerial reforms grounded in modern governance as strategic efforts to sustainably improve public service quality.

Motorcycle communities not only function as a platform for hobbies but also as a medium for shaping identity and image within society. In this context, the role of Public Relations is crucial in maintaining reputation and building positive relationships with the public. A strong brand image helps the community sustain its existence while countering the negative stigma often associated with motorcycle groups. This study aims to explore and analyze the Public Relations planning of Biker Jowo Depok in maintaining its brand image, using the RPACE model (Research, Planning, Action and Communication, Evaluation) by Cutlip & Center (2017). The theoretical framework of this research refers to the concept of Public Relations planning by Cutlip & Center. The method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, secondary data from the website and Instagram, as well as documentation. This study aims to analyze Article 445 paragraph (1) of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) Number 1 of 2023, which regulates the criminal act of eloping with a young woman. The provision is considered to be in tension with the social and cultural realities of Indonesian society, particularly the people of Lombok who practice the merariq tradition. Merariq is an ancestral customary practice within marriage rituals involving the consensual elopement of the prospective bride as an integral part of the marriage process. This research uses Lawrence M. Friedman’s legal system theory, which examines three main components of law: (1) the substance of law—normative provisions contained in legislation; (2) the structure of law institutions and law enforcement agencies; and (3) the legal culture values, attitudes, and behavior of society toward law. This study is a normative legal research that treats law as norms, principles, doctrines, and rules. The primary legal material is Article 445 paragraph (1) of the Indonesian Criminal Code. The findings indicate that, from the perspective of legal substance, the article remains ambiguous. Its formulation potentially conflicts with Indonesia’s legal culture, which in practice prioritizes familial and traditional mechanisms for resolving private conflicts. Based on these findings, this study recommends a reformulation of the legal substance to make it more responsive to the socio-cultural context. The reformulation should be grounded in the principles of ultimum remedium and restorative justice, providing space for customary law and local culture as legitimate mechanisms to resolve private disputes. This approach is expected to reduce the disproportionate use of imprisonment and position criminal sanctions as a last resort in law enforcement.

Modern education focuses not only on sharing knowledge but also plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and ethics. This study explores the role of ethics as the foundation of teacher-student relationships, the moral challenges of the digital age, and character education strategies as solutions. Using literature review and conceptual analysis, the study found that values such as honesty, responsibility, politeness, and mutual respect are key to creating harmonious interactions in the learning environment. On the other hand, technological advances and cultural changes present challenges in the form of decreased empathy and the misuse of social media. Therefore, character education based on teacher role models, collaboration, and humanistic discipline needs to be developed. The study's findings emphasize the importance of balancing digital advancements with moral development in realizing ethical and civilized education. The study also reveals that, despite significant challenges facing educators in the digital age, they can utilize technology to support better character formation through an educational model that emphasizes ethics. This study explores the use of art and cultural practices as a means to instill Islamic values in the learning process of Islamic Religious Education. The background of this research arises from the challenges faced by Islamic education in the era of globalization, particularly the declining interest of students in Islamic-oriented activities and the strong influence of popular culture. Using a descriptive qualitative approach by reviewing relevant literature, the study finds that various forms of Islamic art such as nasheed, hadrah, calligraphy, and Islamic-themed drama can help students understand and appreciate religious values in a more engaging and meaningful way. These artistic activities serve as a bridge between Islamic teachings and everyday life, allowing values such as good character, piety, and love for the Qur’an to be internalized more effectively. However, the implementation still encounters several obstacles, including limited teacher competence and insufficient curriculum support. The study concludes that strengthening collaboration with the community, utilizing digital technology, and developing extracurricular programs are important steps to reinforce the application of Islamic values through art and cultural approaches within educational settings.

This research discusses the education system in France with a focus on the development and challenges of Islamic religious education in the developed country. The study was conducted through a review of the history, geography, and applicable educational policies, so as to be able to describe how the education system in France integrates cultural aspects and historical values in learning practices. One of the main concerns of this study is efforts to improve teachers' competence in teaching Islamic religious subjects, even though religion is not explicitly taught in the national curriculum. The results of the study show that Muslims in France obtain religious education through private institutions and Islamic organizations that act as an alternative to formal education. The challenges faced include the limitations of teacher training and the negative perception of Islam by the public. These findings confirm that Islamic religious education in France flourished in a limited space, yet still contributed to the needs of Muslim communities. This research is expected to be a reference for other countries that face similar challenges in developing religious education, especially in the context of cultural integration, education policies, and strengthening the capacity of educators.
