This study aims to describe the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in teaching personal and official letter writing, and to examine its impact on improving the writing skills of Grade VII B students at SMP Negeri 2 Banjarmasin. The study is motivated by students’ difficulties in distinguishing the structure and language style of personal and official letters, as well as their low engagement in the learning process. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The instruments included writing tests (pre-test and post-test) and observation sheets to assess students’ activities and attitudes. The results indicate that PBL positively influences students' writing abilities. This is evidenced by a significant increase in the average post-test scores compared to the pre-test, along with improvements in critical thinking, collaboration, and independence. Students also demonstrated better understanding of the structural and linguistic features of both types of letters. Thus, the PBL model is recommended as an effective instructional strategy to enhance the quality of writing instruction, particularly within the framework of the Kurikulum Merdeka.

Scientific writing plays an important role in developing knowledge and shaping the intellectual character of students. Through academic writing, students not only learn to organize ideas systematically but are also trained to think critically, analytically, and reflectively. This study employs a literature review method to examine the concepts, processes, and originality of scientific work based on academic theories and established scholarly standards. The findings indicate that writing scientific papers is not merely an academic requirement but also a reflection of logical, objective, and ethical thinking. A high-quality scientific work must demonstrate originality, intellectual honesty, and the proper application of scientific methods—from problem formulation and data collection to analysis and conclusion. In addition, scientific writing should contribute to the development of knowledge and offer solutions to current issues in society. Therefore, higher education institutions need to strengthen students’ scientific literacy, academic writing skills, and understanding of research ethics. These efforts are essential for fostering an academic culture that upholds integrity, encourages innovation, and prepares young scholars to become responsible and competitive individuals.

Narrative writing skills are crucial for the literacy development of elementary school students. However, many students face challenges in writing narrative essays due to limited vocabulary, grammar understanding, and imagination. Traditional teaching methods often fail to address these issues. This study explores the impact of AI-based Deep Learning on narrative writing skills. Using a quantitative approach with an experimental design, the research employed a pretest-posttest design with a nonrandomized control group. The study involved 65 students from SD 4 Sidomulyo, including 30 students from class IV A and 35 from class IV B. A nonprobability sampling technique with saturated sampling was used. Data was collected through tests, and content validity was applied for validation. This article analyzes language errors in essays written by high school students and published on the Mojok.co website in the March 2025 edition. It employs a descriptive qualitative approach with purposive sampling. Five essays were selected based on topic relevance and language difficulty levels appropriate for high school students. The analysis reveals language errors in four main categories: spelling, grammar, diction, and punctuation. Spelling errors are the most frequent, involving incorrect word forms that deviate from standard Indonesian spelling conventions, such as improper capitalization and the use of numerals where they are inappropriate. Grammar errors include issues in sentence structure, particularly in the incorrect placement of subjects and predicates. Diction errors often involve the use of inaccurate or informal vocabulary, while punctuation errors are evident in the misuse or misplacement of commas and periods. These findings suggest that students’ language proficiency in essay writing still requires improvement. To enhance their skills, the following recommendations are proposed: increasing students’ understanding of spelling, grammar, diction, and punctuation based on the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling; providing structured and continuous writing practice; incorporating technology such as spell checkers and grammar tools; and fostering an understanding of language variations, especially the differences between spoken and written language. Improving students’ writing skills is essential, as language errors can impede effective communication and undermine a writer’s credibility. This article aims to serve as a reference for both teachers and students in recognizing common writing errors and enhancing the overall quality of student essays.

Based on the results of initial interviews and observations, it was found that several students still experienced difficulties in writing procedural texts effectively. These difficulties included a lack of understanding of the structure and characteristics of procedural texts, challenges in expressing ideas in written form, limited ability to compose coherent and communicative sentences, and the use of monotonous learning models that failed to stimulate student motivation. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model based on the Tri N approach (Niteni, Niroke, and Nambahake) to improve the procedural text writing skills of fourth-grade students at Sidomukti Elementary School, Ambal Sub-district, Kebumen Regency, as well as to identify the improvement in writing skills after its application. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the application of the PjBL model integrated with Tri N values significantly improved students’ ability to write procedural texts. The learning process was carried out through six main stages of PjBL: formulating essential questions, planning projects, creating schedules, monitoring student activities, testing results, and evaluating learning experiences. The integration with Tri N principles encouraged students to understand, imitate, and develop their writing skills gradually. Thus, the PjBL model based on Tri N proved effective in helping students overcome writing difficulties while also fostering creativity, independence, and active participation in the learning process.

Story writing skills are one of the essential competencies in learning Indonesian language at the elementary school level. However, in reality, many students still face difficulties in expressing ideas, organizing plots, and using language appropriately. Therefore, a learning model that can improve students’ story writing skills is needed. Project Based Learning (PjBL) was chosen because it emphasizes student activity, creativity, collaboration, and the production of tangible written works. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which was carried out in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 14 third-grade students of MI Ziyadatul Iman, Jambi City. The research instruments included a story writing test, student activity observation sheets, and documentation. Data were analyzed using both quantitative techniques (average scores, mastery percentages) and qualitative techniques (student activity and reflection in each cycle). The findings showed that students’ story writing skills improved through the implementation of PjBL. The average score increased from 62.86 in the first cycle to 79.29 in the second cycle. The percentage of learning mastery also rose from 42.86% in the first cycle to 85.71% in the second cycle.
