Academic motivation in mathematics remains a critical factor influencing student engagement and performance. This study examined the mediating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between goal setting and academic motivation among college students. Using mediation analysis, 100 participants were selected through stratified random sampling. Results indicated that self-efficacy partially mediates the relationship, but goal setting unexpectedly had a negative effect on self-efficacy, suggesting that specific goal-setting strategies may introduce pressure or unrealistic expectations. This finding challenges the assumption that goal setting always enhances confidence and motivation. Future research may explore alternative mediating factors and variations in goal-setting strategies. Additionally, educational interventions should integrate self-efficacy-enhancing techniques such as mastery experiences and peer support to maximize student motivation and achievement in mathematics.

Transformational leadership has been identified as an effective approach to mitigate these challenges by fostering supportive, innovative, and empowering school environments. This study aims to investigate the multifaceted influence of transformational leadership on teacher performance enhancement, burnout reduction, and professional development through effective management practices. Employing a library research methodology, the study synthesizes recent empirical evidence and theoretical frameworks from peer-reviewed literature published within the past five years. Data were collected and analyzed through systematic review and thematic synthesis of scholarly articles focusing on transformational leadership in educational settings. The findings demonstrate that transformational leadership substantially enhances teacher motivation and job satisfaction by providing individualized support and cultivating a shared sense of purpose. Instructional support through mentoring, guidance, and feedback strengthens teaching effectiveness, while a positive school climate mediated by transformational leadership fosters trust and collaboration. Furthermore, transformational leadership promotes continuous professional learning and pedagogical innovation by creating psychologically safe environments conducive to reflection and experimentation.

Teacher motivation, instructional effectiveness, professional learning, and retention continue to pose significant challenges in educational systems worldwide, often exacerbated by elevated levels of burnout and turnover. This study investigates the intersection between modern strategic management and Sharia-based leadership within Islamic educational institutions. Using a qualitative library research method, the paper analyzes recent scholarly literature to examine how Islamic ethics can be integrated into institutional governance. The findings suggest that modern management tools—such as strategic planning, SWOT analysis, and performance evaluations—can be effectively aligned with Islamic values when guided by principles such as shura (consultation), amanah (trust), and ‘adl (justice). However, a significant gap remains between theoretical ideals and actual administrative practices, often driven by bureaucratic and secular benchmarks. The study further identifies a lack of a comprehensive, operational Sharia-compliant leadership model that systematically combines strategic management theory with Islamic jurisprudence. Such a framework is essential for defining ethical leadership roles, participatory governance mechanisms, and accountability systems. Integrating Islamic ethics into leadership practices fosters stakeholder trust—among teachers, parents, and students—which in turn reinforces institutional legitimacy and supports long-term sustainability. The research emphasizes the need for Islamic educational institutions to move beyond symbolic adherence to Sharia and adopt integrated, ethically coherent leadership practices that address both moral and managerial imperatives.

This study aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of oil palm plantation workers at PT Kencana Sawit Indonesia in controlling pests through the application of the Early Warning Sistem (EWS). Based on findings from a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), four major challenges in pest control were identified: limited employee knowledge, inefficient task distribution, challenging topography, and delayed responses to pest outbreaks. An outreach program was conducted involving educational sessions supported by pre-test and post-test assessments. The results revealed a significant improvement in employee knowledge, with the average score increasing from 37% to 83%. Furthermore, participant satisfaction with the outreach activities reached 86.50%, as measured by a Likert scale survey. These results confirm that the EWS-based extension program successfully addressed critical knowledge gaps, fostered motivation among employees, and improved the overall efficiency of pest management practices. As a result, this initiative is expected to support more effective pest control and positively impact plantation productivity.

Social media has become an integral part of Generation Z's life, including elementary school students, who are known as the tech-savvy generation. This study aims to examine Generation Z students' perceptions of the influence of social media on their academic behavior and learning concentration through a literature study approach. Data were collected from various current literature sources and analyzed using thematic analysis methods. The results of the study indicate that social media has a dual impact: platforms such as YouTube and educational applications such as Kahoot increase motivation and access to learning resources, but uncontrolled use causes distraction, procrastination, and decreased learning concentration. The characteristics of Generation Z, such as dependence on technology and the need for digital existence, strengthen the influence of social media on their academic behavior. Therefore, a balanced educational approach is needed to maximize the benefits of social media while minimizing its negative impacts. This study provides insight for educators and parents in managing the use of social media wisely.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) is a very important foundation or starting point for building physical, mental, and social development in children so that they have the preparation that can help them later when they grow up. Therefore, an educational institution must have a leader or principal who can provide motivation and good and adequate facilities for the teachers and students. A quality leader is also very important so that students not only gain knowledge and science, but they can also form their own character with moral values as preparation when they grow up. We examine a variety of publications in this essay using a qualitative approach. We obtained knowledge from several sources, including publications connected to our topic and academic magazines. The results of this study illustrate that the presence of quality leadership in an educational institution, particularly in early childhood education (ECE), can optimize and develop the potential of teachers, making them more improved and creative, and can also shape the character of the students.
