Sri Mersing Beach is a beach located in Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra, which has a tourist destination with great potential because of its natural beauty, white sand, and local wisdom that is still preserved. This study aims to identify supporting factors in the development of the Sri Mersing beach tourism area through a qualitative approach, with data collection methods in the form of literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the development of Sri Mersing Beach is influenced by five main aspects, namely attractions, accessibility, facilities (amenities), institutions (ancillary), and hospitality. The presence of appropriate infrastructure, biodiversity, and active participation of local communities will provide important capital for the development of sustainable tourism. However, several challenges such as improving the quality of road access and optimizing agency management must continue to be addressed. This recommends joint and sustainable management to maintain a balance between environmental protection and local economic growth.

The rising trend of halal lifestyle has significantly impacted various sectors, including tourism. Bandung has emerged as a promising halal tourism destination in Indonesia. This study investigates the influence of Islamic Attributes, Destination Image, and Tourist Experience on Tourist Satisfaction and Revisit Intention. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, with 195 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the PLS-SEM method via SmartPLS 3 software. The findings indicate that Islamic Attributes, Destination Image, and Tourist Experience positively and significantly affect Tourist Satisfaction. Moreover, Destination Image and Tourist Experience have a significant impact on Revisit Intention. However, Islamic Attributes do not directly or indirectly influence Revisit Intention through Tourist Satisfaction. These results offer valuable insights for tourism stakeholders in enhancing visitor satisfaction and encouraging return visits. Strengthening Islamic elements and aligning tourism services with Islamic values may increase Muslim tourists’ intention to revisit. This research contributes to the literature by exploring these relationships within the halal tourism context in Greater Bandung, a topic that has received limited academic attention. Future studies are encouraged to examine other destinations or include additional variables to broaden understanding of Muslim tourist behavior in halal tourism.

This study aims to explore and analyze the mechanisms of participatory communication in community-based tourism development, with a focus on strengthening community participation and understanding the dynamics of communication in community-based tourism development in Jatiluwih Tourism Village. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using purposive sampling techniques. Jatiluwih Tourism Village was selected due to its status as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site since 2012 and its significant potential for community-based tourism development, despite the community participation remaining suboptimal. Key informants include community leaders, tourism village managers, and community members directly involved in managing tourism based on local wisdom. Primary data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews, while secondary data were obtained from relevant documents and reports. Data validity was ensured through triangulation by comparing interview results, observations, and documents. The findings reveal that participatory communication—through access, voice, and control—plays a crucial role in the development of community-based tourism in Jatiluwih Tourism Village. While it has had positive impacts, gaps in control highlight the need for more inclusive mechanisms to ensure equitable community participation. This study underscores the importance of applying participatory communication to realize inclusive and sustainable community-based tourism.

A tourist attraction needs to measure the level of tourist satisfaction as feedback for the development of tourist attractions. The method that can be used is the Fuzzy Inference System Mamdani method. This method has a flexible approach in processing an input. The output is the average level of tourist satisfaction. The average level of tourist satisfaction of Green Gumuk Candi after the inference process is 73.1%. This result may differ from other Fuzzy Inference methods, so it still requires further research using the Sugeno or Tsukamoto method as a comparison.

The development of tourism villages is an effective strategy to support environmental conservation and empower local communities. This study aims to describe the development of Simathani Marurup Tourism Village in Tulungagung Regency based on community empowerment. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using four tourism village development indicators proposed by Prakoso (2022): setting, management, resources, and benefits, along with community empowerment approaches outlined by Widjajanti (2011). The findings indicate that the village has successfully utilized its geographical and cultural potential, with active community participation in management and partnerships with the government. Empowerment strategies applied include problem-based, need-based, rights-based, and asset-based approaches. The economic impact has begun to emerge, although distribution remains uneven. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating local potential with empowerment approaches to create an inclusive, participatory, and sustainable tourism village. Recommendations focus on strengthening the role of local government in training, funding, and supportive policy formulation.

This research examines tourist perceptions of the Sendangdalem rafting attraction in Kebumen Regency as a developing adventure tourism destination. Nature-based tourism, particularly adventure tourism, has experienced significant growth in line with the trend of tourists seeking authentic and challenging experiences. Through a qualitative approach with library research design, this study analyzes tourist perceptions across four main dimensions: physical aspects of the attraction, service quality, experience value, and sustainability practices. The results show that tourists positively perceive the varied and challenging river characteristics, although supporting facilities still need improvement. The experience value is formed through the integration of adventure, aesthetic, social, and educational values, with adventure value as the dominant dimension. Sustainability practices through local community involvement and conservation efforts are appreciated, but waste management and sanitation infrastructure still require improvement. The research implications emphasize the importance of infrastructure development with an environmentally friendly approach, capacity building for local guides, diversification of tourism products, and strengthening ecotourism narratives in marketing.
