This article discusses the implementation of negotiation strategies and lobbying techniques as participatory communication approaches in the context of community service in Parigi Village, Cikande Sub-district, Serang City. Through intensive community organizing, this activity aims to strengthen the capacity of residents in facing the challenges of cross-interest communication and collaboration, especially in terms of policy advocacy and local resource management. The service subjects consisted of local community groups who had been less involved in the decision-making process at the village level. The service process is carried out through several stages, starting from joint problem mapping, training in negotiation and lobbying techniques, to the preparation of collaborative action plans that involve active participation of residents. The findings from this activity show that interest-based negotiation and ethical lobbying can strengthen the community's bargaining position towards external actors such as the government and local stakeholders. The dynamics of the activity also resulted in initial social changes, such as the formation of an internal advocacy group, increased participation in public forums, and the emergence of collective awareness of the importance of strategic communication.

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world, with the incidence rate continuing to increase every year. Conventional treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy often have limitations, especially related to selectivity towards cancer cells and toxic side effects caused to normal cells. Therefore, an alternative approach that is more effective and safe is needed. One promising approach is the utilization of bioactive compounds from natural materials that are optimized through a medicinal chemistry approach. This study aims to examine the potential of natural compounds such as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) from green tea, berberine from Berberis vulgaris, curcumin from turmeric (Curcuma longa), and cardiotonic steroids (CTS) from Digitalis purpurea and Nerium oleander as anticancer agents, as well as their optimization strategies through structural modification, increased stability, and modern delivery technology. The method used is a systematic literature review of scientific articles from 2020 to 2025 obtained through the PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases. The results of the study indicate that these compounds have various anticancer mechanisms of action, such as apoptosis induction, cell cycle inhibition, and activation of specific signaling pathways such as PI3K/Akt, MAPK, and ferroptosis. However, challenges such as low bioavailability, poor stability, and toxicity are still obstacles in their application. Through a medicinal chemistry approach, these compounds can be structurally modified or reformulated to improve their clinical effectiveness. In conclusion, the combination of natural wealth with medicinal chemistry innovation opens up great opportunities in the development of more selective, effective, and safe anticancer therapies in the future.

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has brought major changes to the world of education, especially in terms of the media used to support the teaching and learning process. The use of ICT-based media offers various advantages, such as fast access to information, more interesting learning materials, and a more flexible and personalized approach. This article aims to analyze the role of ICT-based media in improving student learning outcomes. In this discussion, it is explained how the use of ICT can enrich learning experiences, increase student motivation, and support more collaborative and independent learning. Even though there are various benefits, this article also identifies several challenges faced in implementing ICT-based media, such as gaps in technology access, limited infrastructure, and a lack of digital skills among teachers and students. Based on this analysis, this article concludes that although ICT-based media has great potential to improve learning outcomes, the success of its implementation is very dependent on infrastructure readiness, training for teachers, and awareness of the importance of technology integration in the education curriculum. For this reason, there needs to be a more planned strategy and support from all parties to maximize the use of ICT in education

Settlement is a basic human need that is closely related to the feasibility of life and well-being. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of settlement patterns that occur in rural and urban areas, and to investigate the factors that influence these patterns. This study collects, analyzes, and synthesizes related literature. The results show that settlement patterns in urban areas are denser and develop vertically, while settlement patterns in rural areas tend to be spread out and horizontal. Various factors, such as natural conditions (such as climate, topography, water and land availability), socio-economic factors (such as employment, education, and income), and government policies and local cultural developments, influence these differences. These results emphasize that understanding settlement patterns as a whole is essential to building areas that are equitable, sustainable, and responsive to community needs.

Regional development is a key strategy for enhancing community welfare. However, the dynamics of growth in each region are shaped by distinct characteristics of rural and urban areas. Rural areas face unique challenges in adapting to changing times, given their economic structures are largely dominated by agriculture and limited infrastructure. In contrast, cities tend to have more diversified economies, supported by industry, services, and better access to education and technology. The socio-economic disparities between rural and urban areas pose a significant challenge in regional development. The quality of life for communities in both regions is often affected by disparities in income, healthcare, education, and employment opportunities. Ongoing modernization and urbanization lead to transformations in social and economic structures in cities and rural areas. A comparative socio-economic analysis of rural and urban areas can provide valuable insights into how these differences impact regional development strategies. This study can also inform policies aimed at achieving balanced development between rural and urban areas, thereby promoting more equitable distribution of community welfare

This research examines education dynamics in the border region between Indonesia and Malaysia, specifically in Bengkyang Regency. The study focuses on the challenges of maintaining cultural identity and nationalism amidst the strong influence of foreign cultures. The educational units comprise one kindergarten, 18 elementary schools, six junior high schools, one senior high school, and three vocational schools. In Jagoi Babang, there is one private kindergarten, two private elementary schools, one private junior high school, and two private vocational schools. Only a few schools include vision and mission statements aimed at building and maintaining nationalism. This study explores educational practices and the role of Ethno pedagogy in strengthening nationalism among students. Using a qualitative research method with an ethnopedagogical approach, the research team analyzed education dynamics at the border through ethnopedagogical studies. The results indicate that special attention is still needed for local genius and local wisdom through the articulation of cultural values, as educational practices in various domains emphasize local wisdom as a source of innovation and skills that can be empowered for community welfare. The local wisdom relates to how knowledge is generated, stored, applied, and managed. In supporting the success of core learning in schools, information obtained from students reveals that obstacles such as facilities and infrastructure and gaps in learning during class hours are still frequently experienced by students. The research findings show that schools in Jagoi Babang suffer from a lack of facilities and infrastructure, hindering access to education. Additionally, the integration of local values into the curriculum needs to be higher, contributing to the degradation of local culture. The study finds that despite efforts to build nationalism, the lack of innovation in teaching methods remains a barrier. There is a need for government attention to improve the quality of education and infrastructure. The novelty of this research lies in its emphasis on the role of Ethno pedagogy in education in border areas, providing valuable insights for policymakers and educators in designing more effective programs to support education and strengthen national identity.
