This study aims to analyze the effect of employee competence and job satisfaction on employee performance, with employee engagement as a mediating variable at PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII Surabaya. Employee competence and job satisfaction are crucial factors in improving employee performance, while employee engagement plays a role in strengthening this relationship. This research adopts a quantitative approach using secondary data from employee competency measurement reports for the 2020-2022 period. The analysis method employed is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach. The findings indicate that employee competence and job satisfaction have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Furthermore, employee engagement has been proven to play a significant mediating role in the relationship between employee competence and employee performance, as well as between job satisfaction and employee performance. In other words, employees with high competence and job satisfaction tend to be more engaged in their work, ultimately enhancing their performance. These findings have practical implications for companies to improve employee competence and job satisfaction through training, fair incentive distribution, and creating a work environment that fosters employee engagement. This study also contributes to the development of human resource management theory, particularly regarding employee engagement as a mediating factor in enhancing employee performance.

Village potential greatly influences the community's economy. Management of superior village products from various sectors will influence and provide beneficial impacts for the village itself. Kemlagi Village, Mojokerto Regency has various products in the tourism sub-sector based on culture/local wisdom, agriculture and livestock whose quality is not inferior to other potential villages. To increase the potential of the village area, it is necessary to increase the village branding of any potential sub-sectors that the village has. Therefore, it is carried out in several stages; field observations, interviews, documentation and data analysis related to village economic potential. With the result that the lack of public understanding of product marketing and promotion is the main obstacle in developing local potential. The community responded to this by providing suggestions and ideas to each other so that their village could develop. This community service activity was held in the Darul Husna Islamic Boarding School environment in Kudus, Central Java, Indonesia. The problem found was that tax inclusion-based learning had not been implemented as a national program integrated with subjects. The solution provided was to carry out socialization to transfer knowledge about taxation to build a culture of tax awareness from an early age. The implementation method was carried out by conducting socialization. The results of the socialization activity were to provide knowledge and inspiration to students at the Darul Husna Kudus Islamic Boarding School. That providing tax knowledge from an early age to students can build awareness of the importance of taxes. This can dig deeper into the enthusiasm of students to be more aware of the importance of tax obligations. Students become more aware that their daily activities are never free from taxes. Although they have not been officially registered as taxpayers, indirectly their activities are also related to taxation.

Abstrak:
Debt instruments, particularly those related to preferred and common stocks, play an important role in capital markets and corporate finance. One of the crucial elements that influence investment decisions and corporate policies is debt repayment provisions. Preferred stocks, with higher priority in terms of debt repayment, provide a sense of security for investors because they provide greater protection against the risk of loss. In contrast, common stocks, which have lower priority in debt repayment, offer higher potential returns but with greater risks. This article aims to explore the role of debt repayment provisions in common stocks through an in-depth literature review. The methodology used is a thematic and comparative analysis approach to the existing literature, focusing on the differences in debt repayment rights and their impact on investment decisions and corporate policies. The results show that debt repayment provisions have a significant impact on investment stability, where preferred stocks are more beneficial for conservative investors who prioritize security, while common stocks are more suitable for investors seeking potential returns for conservative investors who prioritize security, while common stocks are more suitable for investors seeking potential high returns despite greater risks. This conclusion provides an important contribution to understanding the dynamics of the capital market and helps investors and companies in designing better financial strategies. Further research is needed to explore the direct effect of debt repayment provisions on capital market performance and stock value in companies.
