This research investigates the underlying factors that shape the interest of students from the 2024 cohort in enrolling in the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Education Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative methodology, data were gathered through a structured, closed-ended questionnaire administered to the entire cohort, which consisted of 89 students. The analysis reveals that the overall level of student interest is categorized as high, with a notable percentage of 55%. Several key variables were identified as influential: (1) self-awareness factors encompassing physical capabilities, intellectual aptitude, intrinsic motivation, and innate talent were rated in the very high category at 56%; (2) familial influences such as the provision of information, emotional support, and parenting styles also ranked very high at 46%; (3) school-related elements including the accessibility of school information systems, teacher roles, peer dynamics, and hands on learning experiences were classified in the high category with 44%; and (4) social media engagement specifically the frequency of use and the quality of educational content was likewise in the high category, scoring 48%. These findings underscore the multifaceted nature of student decision-making, with self-awareness emerging as the most prominent determinant in shaping academic program choices. The study highlights the need for educational institutions to consider these interrelated dimensions when developing recruitment strategies and academic guidance frameworks.

Pertumbuhan jumlah mahasiswa dan pekerja di Kecamatan Kambu, Kota Kendari, mendorong meningkatnya kebutuhan akan hunian sementara seperti kos-kosan. Namun, keterbatasan informasi mengenai lokasi, harga, dan sarana kos menyebabkan kesulitan bagi pencari kos dalam menemukan tempat tinggal yang sesuai. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sebuah sistem aplikasi pemetaan kos berbasis web yang menggabungkan teknologi Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) guna mempermudah pencarian serta pengelolaan informasi tempat kos. Proses pengembangan sistem mengikuti pendekatan model waterfall, yang meliputi langkah studi pustaka, observasi lapangan, wawancara, analisis kebutuhan sistem, perancangan, implementasi, dan pengujian. Aplikasi dikembangkan dengan memanfaatkan framework Laravel, sementara visualisasi peta dilakukan menggunakan LeafletJS dan pengolahan data spasial menggunakan perangkat lunak QGIS. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi dapat menyajikan informasi kos secara interaktif dalam bentuk peta, memungkinkan pencari kos untuk melihat lokasi, detail harga, fasilitas, serta informasi kontak, dan memudahkan pemilik kos dalam mengelola data kos mereka. Dengan demikian, aplikasi ini memberikan solusi efektif dan efisien dalam memfasilitasi pencarian kos dan pengelolaan hunian di wilayah Kecamatan Kambu.

This research aims (1) to determine the internal and external factors that cause learning difficulties for students majoring in TKRO at SMK N 4 Lhokseumawe, (2) to find out learning strategies that can help class XI students majoring in TKRO at SMK N 4 Lhokseumawe. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, documentation. The research subjects were class XI students majoring in light vehicle engineering at SMK N 4 Lhokseumawe. Research data was analyzed using data reduction analysis methods, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of interviews with class Factors that cause learning difficulties include the classroom atmosphere, the way the teacher teaches, and students' internal factors such as physiology and psychology. So this research was conducted with the aim of analyzing and finding strategies to overcome students' learning difficulties. The results of the study with an average acquisition of student learning difficulties of 2.648 are included in the High category. With the qualification of learning difficulties for automotive electrical material is "High" at SMK Negeri 4 Lhokseumawe. In order to overcome this problem, teachers need to change their teaching style and encourage interaction with students, while students need to be more focused and conducive during learning. It is hoped that collaboration between teachers and students can help reduce the level of learning difficulty in automotive electrical subjects for class XI students majoring in light vehicle engineering at SMK N 4 Lhokseumawe.

The poem "Antara Gelap dan Terang Manusia" by Ariffin Noor Hasby in the book Salawat Laut aims to analyze the diski and meaning of the poem. This poem explains the meaning of each word used by the author has a certain meaning in which the reader understands the intention and purpose conveyed by the author. The method in this study is qualitative and data collection techniques using literature techniques by understanding the content of the poem. Through the analysis of the poem "Between Darkness and Human Light" by Ariffin Noor Hasby, the diction chosen by the author has a deep meaning, namely telling the story of a person's spiritual journey in searching for the meaning of life in the midst of the complexity of the world, such as darkness and light, heart and mind, sin and forgiveness. This journey is described as an attempt to find love, truth, and inner peace. This poem describes the beauty, emotion, and complexity of the relationship. The repetition of the phrase "Between darkness and human light" at the beginning of each verse emphasizes that this is a universal human condition that continues to be in a struggle between good and evil, between enlightenment and spiritual darkness.

Real Work Lectures (KKN) is a community service program that students must take part in as part of the higher education curriculum in Indonesia. The aim of this activity is to develop students' abilities to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired during lectures in real contexts in society. KKN activities were carried out in Simpang Tiga Daratan village, Enok District, Indragiri Hilir Regency for 40 days, with a focus on the Literacy Work Program in the form of the Anti-Bully movement. The methods used include counseling and training. The results of this activity show an increase in public awareness about the importance of bullying prevention, as well as the existence of sustainable programs that can be implemented by the community independently. This activity also provides direct experience for students in interacting and contributing to society. In conclusion, KKN is an important means for students to apply academic knowledge in everyday life and have a positive impact on the local community.

The use of standard language is used in writing news. This research aims to identify and analyze writing errors made by journalists in writing news on internet media, especially on CNBC Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, focusing on Indonesian writing errors from the aspects of spelling and diction. The research results show that there are several errors that often occur in news writing on CNBC Indonesia, such as inappropriate use of punctuation, letter writing errors, and word writing errors. These errors can confuse readers and create ambiguity in understanding. Recommendations that can be given are to increase accuracy in the use of punctuation marks, letters and words. Journalists need to pay attention to correct writing rules and double-check before publishing news. Apart from that, the editorial team also needs to provide training and guidance to journalists to improve the quality of news writing. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to improving the quality of CNBC Indonesia's online news writing and reducing ambiguity in reader understanding. This is important to maintain media professionalism and provide clear and accurate information to readers. In this way, it is hoped that CNBC Indonesia's online news can become a reliable source of information that is easy for readers to understand.

Secara tektonik, wilayah pesisir dan lepas pantai Sulawesi Barat terletak di zona jalur lipatan dan sesar atau fold and thrust belt. Secara khusus, wilayah Majene dan Mamuju pernah terdampak gempa secara berulang dengan periode waktu berbeda. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan pencegahan dan mitigasi bencana menjadi urgen diberikan kepada guru di SMPN 2 Majene sebagai pihak yang dapat mentransformasikan pendidikan didaerah rawan bencana. Solusi yang ditawarkan untuk melakukan pencegahan dan mitigasi secara khusus diarahkan pada ancaman yang ada dan kerentanan yang relevan dengan ancaman tersebut. Langkah-langkah ini dimaksudkan untuk menghilangkan ancaman, mengurangi dampak ancaman ataupun menghindari kerentanan (kondisi rentan) yang berhubungan ancaman tersebut.  Hal mendasar yang perlu dilakukan untuk mencegah dan memitigasi adalah mengenali ancaman berdasarkan ancaman kebencanaan dan prediksi potensi bencana suatu wilayah. Istilah yang sering digunakan adalah analisis/kajian ancaman.Rencana kegiatan yang akan dilakukan bersama mitra yaitu: 1) Kajian ancaman dan resiko 2) Perencanaan pencegahan dan mitigasi; 3) Meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang kesiapsiagaan bencana; dan 4) Melakukan refleksi atas kegiatan yang dilakukan sehingga dapat dirumuskan perubahan sosial yang terjadi setelah pelaksanaan progran. Motode Pelaksanaan kegiatan program kemitraan masyarakat dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi, tanya-jawab dan focus group Discussion (FGD) Hasil kegiatan program kemitaraan masyarakat yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa para peserta sangat antusias. Pemahaman peserta terkait kajian resiko ancaman bencana sebelum dilakukan kegiatan berada skor 54,6% dan setelah diadakan  kegiatan meningkat menjadi 97,8%.  Pemahaman peserta terkait perencanaan pencegahan dan mitigasi sebelum diadakan berada skor 61,3% dan setalah diadakan kegiatan meningkat menjadi 98,7%. dan memiliki pemahaman. Pemahamanan peserta terkait peningkatan kesiapsiagaan bencana sebelum diadakan kegiatan berada skor 43,5% dan setelah diadakan kegiatan meningkat menjadi 97,6%. Sedangkan pre-test terkait pemahaman peserta terkait kelompok-kelompok yang rentang bencana sebesar 65,6% dan hasil post meningkat menjadi 98,8%..Hasil refleksi atas kegiatan yang dilakukan menunjukan adanya perubahan pemahaman pada setiap peserta yang sangat baik terkait pelaksanaan kegiatan yang dilaksnakan.
