Abstrak:
Indonesia, as a nation that officially recognizes religious pluralism, faces unique challenges within its judiciary system, particularly with respect to the exclusive Islamic Religious Courts. Referencing various laws and regulations, such as Law No. 3 of 2006 on Religious Courts, which caters only to Muslims, there exists a potential for discrimination that could impact social harmony and justice. This research aims to investigate possible discriminatory practices in the Religious Courts and explores a comparison with the judiciary system in the Netherlands, which is more inclusive and comprehensive in handling religious cases. Utilizing juridical-normative, comparative, and statutory approaches, this study examines the urgency of integrating the Religious Courts with the Civil Courts to create a more effective and inclusive judiciary system in Indonesia. Findings suggest that this integration is crucial to eliminate exclusive preferences and discriminatory practices, ensuring equal access to justice for all citizens regardless of their religious affiliation. The study recommends legislative reform in judicial laws to include principles of inclusivity, which will strengthen equality and justice across Indonesia.

Abstrak:
The rapid evolution of the labor market, accelerated by the ASEAN Economic Community and an influx of job seekers, intensifies competition not only for employment but also for career stability within companies. At the same time, businesses face mounting pressure to stay competitive, often turning to mergers and acquisitions as a strategy for growth and survival. Yet, while these corporate moves may strengthen business prospects, they often leave workers in a precarious position, facing potential job loss or uncertain changes to their employment status. This research explores the legal protection of workers post-acquisition, focusing on Law No. 13 of 2003 on Manpower and analyzing relevant court decisions. The findings reveal that although acquisitions do not automatically terminate employment contracts, they frequently disrupt workers’ rights, exposing them to unexpected vulnerabilities. This study underscores the urgent need for stronger legal safeguards to protect workers from the fallout of corporate restructuring. By highlighting gaps in current labor protections, this research contributes to ongoing discussions on labor law reform, offering insights for policymakers, legal practitioners, and business leaders striving to balance corporate interests with workers’ rights in an increasingly volatile economic landscape. Ultimately, it raises a critical question: in the wake of corporate acquisitions, who truly stands up for the workers?

Abstrak:
This study explores the regulatory and institutional framework for relocating Indonesia’s national capital (Ibu Kota Nusantara, IKN) from Jakarta to East Kalimantan, a plan rooted in the integrative ideology articulated by Soepomo in 1945. This ideology emphasizes harmony between macrocosmic and microcosmic forces within the state, suggesting that the government center should be located centrally within the country to symbolize supreme authority. The relocation is also seen as a crucial move toward achieving “Indonesia Emas 2045”. However, the enactment of Law No. 3 of 2022, which serves as the legal basis for the relocation, has faced significant criticism, particularly regarding the regulatory, institutional, and funding aspects. Previous studies have often been opinion-based and lacked scientific rigor, especially in addressing the complexities of policy implementation. This research aims to fill this gap by providing a detailed analysis of the policy from regulatory and institutional perspectives. The study uses a normative legal approach, incorporating both statute and conceptual analyses, to evaluate the regulatory and institutional frameworks guiding the capital relocation. While it does not extensively address funding issues, it focuses on identifying how well the existing rules align with the policy’s implementation goals. Findings suggest that while the relocation offers significant benefits, such as promoting national unity and symbolizing progress, the process faces challenges, including conflicts with existing regulations and institutional inefficiencies. The contribution of this study lies in offering actionable insights for both the government and civil society to assess and improve the policy’s implementation, ensuring its alignment with the broader vision of national development.

Generation Z (born between 1997 and 2012) has been socialised in the digital age, which has informed their social interactions and cultural awareness. This study assesses the role of Generation Z in maintaining national identity in the context of globalisation, employing a Likert-scale interview methodology with university students aged 18–22 at Universitas Gadjah Mada. The results indicate that the majority of respondents exhibit a robust sense of patriotism (53.6% strongly agree) and express support for the preservation of national identity (70% agree/strongly agree). However, a small percentage of respondents express doubt (18.4%) or disagreement (5.2%). Generation Z proactively employs social media to advance local culture, address social issues, and reconcile global influences with local values. Despite the challenges posed by globalisation, they demonstrate a commitment to maintaining Indonesia's cultural heritage. This study recommends culturally relevant education tailored to the digital era to support Generation Z in preserving national identity while adapting to global developments.

The alleged sexual harassment case at Pancasila University highlights the importance of implementing ethical values ??in the academic environment. This study aims to analyze ethical violations that occur, especially in the context of sexual harassment, using ethical theories such as deontology, utilitarianism, and justice theory. The results of the analysis indicate that these violations not only harm the victims individually, but also threaten the integrity, reputation, and trust of the academic community in the institution. The findings also indicate weaknesses in university policies and procedures in handling this case effectively. Therefore, it is necessary to update ethics policies, increase awareness through training, and a transparent and justice-oriented reporting system. With these steps, the university is expected to create a safe, fair, and moral environment for all members of the academic community.

The Constitutional Court is a judicial institution in Indonesia which was established on August 13, 2003. The Constitutional Court has the authority regulated in article 24C of the 1945 Constitution and Law Number 24 of 2003 concerning the Constitutional Court which was later updated to Law Number 8 of 2011. The Constitutional Court has a principle in making a decision on the material test of the law against the Constitution, which applies to everyone, final, independent and impartial. The Constitutional Court's (MK) decision regarding the age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates (presidential and vice presidential candidates) in Case Number 90/PUU-XXI/2023 continues to reap pros and cons. In the decision, the Constitutional Court granted part of the application that tested Article 169 letter q of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections. This study aims to identify and analyze disputes over the Constitutional Court Decision Number 90/PUU-XXI/2023 concerning the material test of article 169 letter q of Law number 7 of 2017 concerning general elections in terms of juridical aspects. The research method used is a literature study of the Constitutional Court decision Number 90/PUU-XXI/2023 with a focus on normative legal analysis. The results of the study show that the Constitutional Court's decision Number 90/PUU-XXI/2023 is formally inconsistent with Law Number 49 of 2009 concerning Judicial Power and Constitutional Court Regulation No. 2/PMK/2021.
