Speaking ability is one of the important skills in education and daily life, but students often face obstacles such as lack of self-confidence and minimal opportunities to practice. This study aims to improve students' speaking ability through debate and discussion-based training. This activity is designed to provide students with direct experience in constructing logical arguments, conveying opinions effectively, and interacting in formal and informal forums. The methods used include theory training, debate simulations, and group discussions with periodic evaluations through observation and questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase in students' speaking ability, especially in terms of clarity of idea delivery, argument structure, and courage to speak in public. In addition, this training also had a positive impact on students' critical thinking skills, ability to work together, and self-confidence.

The purpose of the research was to find out the effectiveness of using communicative language teaching on speaking ability in SMP Miftahul Ulum Jember. This research used a quantitative method. The research applied pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. The population of this research was the seventh-year students of SMP Miftahul Ulum Jember in academic 2023-2024. The sample consisted of 20 students of class VII. The data were collected through speaking test (pre-test and post-test). To find out the effectiveness of communicative language teaching (CLT) on speaking ability, the researcher applied t-test analysis. The research was held in three meetings.The findings indicated that there was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test. The result the t-test result sig. 0.000 < 0.005, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be seen the value of t-test tcount 4635 > ttable 2.093  than t-test (0.00) and degree of freedom (df)= 19. Therefore, the researcher concluded that the use of communicative language teaching (CLT) approach was effective on the student’s speaking ability.

The problems of this research were students’ lack of vocabulary, lack of pronunciation, lost confident, a fear of making mistakes, and speaking English is difficult to learn. This research aimed to find out how the TGT method improves students' speaking ability and the significant factors in using the TGT method at SMPN 2 Padang. This research used purposive sampling and VIII.5 as sample in the classroom. This research used qualitative research design and Classroom Action Research approach that consisted 2 cycles, and has four stages, namely; planning, action, observation, and reflection. The instrument of this research was test; pre-test and post-test, observation sheet, and questionnaire. The research results showed a significant increase in students' speaking ability, the improvement of percentage was 18.75% from pre-test to post-test II. The questionnaire revealed that 88.12% of students preferred learning with intrinsic motivation, which showed that the importance of motivation in the learning process.

The purpose of this research is to improve students' speaking skills through a project based learning, making them more immersive and active. This study used experimental techniques and analysis of students' cognitive abilities with quantitative research techniques through oral tests. The research questions considered in this study are: was there a significant effectiveness of simple project-based learning syntaxes in teaching speaking (pronunciation element) and to what extent was the effectiveness of simple project-based learning syntaxes in teaching speaking (pronunciation element)?. The purpose of this study is to know whether the Simple project-based learning syntaxes to teach speaking (pronunciation element) contributes significantly to the senior high school students’ speaking ability of eleventh grade student of MA NW Juet academic year 2024. And the perpose of this research is to find out the extent of Simple project-based learning syntaxes in teaching speaking (pronunciation element). The analytical methods used for data processing are included in the Social Science Statistics 22.0 for Windows. The results before applying the project based learning technique, only 50% of students are able to spek in English and after applying the project based learning, it improved student's ability to speak in English by 80%. Applying project based learning , especially speaking, This is the right strategy to improve students' speaking skills (pronunciation).

Assessing speaking ability is a complex task, more difficult than assessing listening, reading, or writing abilities. This is because what is said when speaking is quickly forgotten, so evaluation requires sufficient time to pay attention to the speaking process, not just knowledge of the material being discussed. To carry out this evaluation, the research method generally used is a review of related literature. This research involves collecting information related to a specific topic. In order for a speaking ability evaluation to be carried out successfully, it is necessary to properly understand the basic concepts, learning processes, evaluation techniques, as well as planning and implementation procedures.

This study was motivated by the following problems, students' speaking ability is still low, students' confidence to speak in front of the class is still low, lack of vocabulary mastery in students. The sample was taken randomly, namely class IX-2 totaling 30 students as the experimental class and class IX-1 totaling 30 students as the control class. The method used was experimental method. The instrument used was a test. Hypothesis testing was done using the “t” test. The results showed that using the TPS model can improve students' speaking ability. This is evident from the average value obtained by students, namely 13% in the very good category, 60% in the good category, 27% in the sufficient category, 0% in the poor category, and 0% in the very poor category

This research aims to determine the efficacy of the learning media application Instagram reels to improve students' speaking learning outcomes in report texts at SMAN 1 Sutojayan, especially in class X-3. The research involved 37 students in class X-3 using a quantitative approach with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research results show that the alternative research hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. This research provides an understanding of the importance of improving students' speaking skills by developing more efficient learning strategies. The results of this research can provide a valuable contribution to efforts to improve the quality of education at SMAN 1 Sutojayan and similar educational institutions. Additionally, future researchers are advised to investigate the long-term impact of utilizing Instagram Reels or similar interactive tools on students' overall academic achievement and morale.
