In the digital era, journalistic photography has a strategic role in conveying effective messages through visual elements. Visually, the use of journalistic photography is not only used as a complement to text news, but helps readers understand the messages in an event more clearly and in depth. Among the messages that can be conveyed through journalistic photography is the visual message of religious moderation, which includes the value of tolerance, openness, and harmony between religious believers. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, this research aims to implement EDFAT (Entire, Detail, Frame, Angle, Time) photography technique training for the students of UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan who have an interest and focus on the field of Islamic journalism. Through this training, students are equipped with technical photography skills to produce journalistic photography works that can support the amplification of religious moderation messages in digital media. This research concludes that the EDFAT technique is a relevant method for producing photographic works that are not only visually attractive but also effective in amplifying messages of religious moderation.

In the midst of the phenomenon of radicalism that threatens diversity and tolerance in Indonesia, Nurcholis Madjid's thoughts on religious moderation have become a concern again. Taking into account the history and development of Islamic thought in Indonesia, this article investigates the idea of religious moderation in Madjid. To determine whether Madjid's ideas are relevant to radicalism, a thorough examination of the theological, philosophical, and sociological foundations of his thinking will be carried out. This article will also look at how the idea of religious moderation can be applied to various aspects of life, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced in an effort to create a more moderate Indonesian society. Radicalism now threatens the life of the nation and state. In this case, the perspective of religious moderation Nurcholis Madjid offers a profitable option. In this article, the concept of religious moderation in Madjid will be discussed thoroughly, with a special emphasis on practical solutions.

Penelitian ini menganalisis kontribusi mahasiswa dalam mewujudkan kehidupan beragama yang moderat di Kelurahan Padangsari. Mahasiswa berperan sebagai agen perubahan yang berfokus pada penguatan moderasi beragama melalui pendidikan dan dialog lintas agama. Program pengabdian ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya moderasi beragama dan mengurangi potensi konflik antar kelompok agama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi mahasiswa mampu mendorong terciptanya lingkungan sosial yang lebih inklusif dan harmonis, serta meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan nilai-nilai toleransi. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini berkontribusi signifikan dalam membangun hubungan antarumat beragama yang lebih baik di Padangsari.

The flash floods and landslides in Central Aceh Regency are hydrometeorological disasters resulting from the interaction between natural factors and environmental conditions, such as extreme rainfall and declining ecological capacity due to land-use changes. In this context, community service activities conducted by law students of Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara function not only as humanitarian responses but also as a medium for social learning in internalizing the values of religious moderation based on local wisdom. This study aims to examine the role of students in disaster response and how these values are internalized through interactions with the Gayo community. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-participatory design. Data were collected through participatory observation, informal interviews, and documentation during activities in disaster-affected areas, and analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that these activities contributed to both physical recovery and social-psychological support, including trauma healing. Local wisdom values such as deliberation, mutual cooperation, and social solidarity act as social capital in strengthening community resilience and reflect religious moderation in daily life. This study aims to analyze the strategies of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in strengthening religious moderation among the community and to comprehensively identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. Religious moderation is a strategic issue in maintaining harmony, tolerance, and social integrity amid the increasing complexity of religious and cultural diversity in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques to obtain in-depth and relevant information. The findings indicate that the strategies implemented include strengthening religious literacy through outreach and guidance activities, cross-sector collaboration with religious leaders and local governments, optimizing the role of religious instructors, and utilizing social media as an effective means of public education. In addition, fostering the younger generation through interfaith dialogue programs and inclusive religious activities serves as a preventive measure to counter radicalism and intolerance. The challenges faced include limited human resources and resistance from certain community groups toward religious moderation programs. Overall, the strategies implemented are considered fairly effective in fostering tolerant, inclusive, and harmonious attitudes within society.

The relationship between religious moderation and the first precept of Pancasila is that every religious person believes that the God they worship is One or one, but the general public of Indonesia does not know very well the religion other than the one he adheres to. The problems that arise due to the ignorance of the community make the author interested and motivated to provide an understanding of this through this article. The method used in the study is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The socialization program "Stop Bullying: Stop the Hate and Let's Spread the Love" is part of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) activities carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Wonotunggal, Wonotunggal Village, Wonotunggal District, Batang Regency. This program aims to increase students' awareness of the dangers of bullying and promote a harmonious friendship environment without violence. Through lecture methods, discussions and interactive activities such as positive affirmation and express yourself sessions, students are encouraged to understand the impact of bullying and how to prevent it. The implementation of the values of religious moderation in this program emphasizes the importance of respecting differences, rejecting violence, and building solidarity among students. The results of this program show active participation from students and support from the school in efforts to prevent bullying, with the hope of creating a safe and comfortable school environment for all students.

This study discusses the application of religious moderation in an effort to build a peaceful and tolerant community in Tewang Kadamba Village, Central Kalimantan. This village is known for its cultural and religious diversity, where the Dayak Kaharingan tribe is the majority of the population while Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity live side by side harmoniously. However, there are challenges related to the lack of motivation in worship activities and the shortage of Islamic religious teachers in the village. This is a serious concern because it can affect the social and religious life of the community. The Tewang Kadamba Village KKN Team took the initiative to empower the community through strengthening religious values ​​by involving the younger generation and cadres in the religious teaching program. This program is expected to encourage positive changes in religious life and social life in the village. This study uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method and literature study, with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of the religious teaching program in improving the understanding and practice of religious moderation values ​​among the Tewang Kadamba Village community. It is hoped that the results of the study can provide useful suggestions for the development of religious teaching programs in Tewang Kadamba Village, so that they can support the formation of a religious, tolerant, and peaceful society

These findings highlight the pivotal role of Pancasila values in shaping a pluralistic and inclusive national identity, as well as in promoting interreligious harmony in Indonesia. The discussion underscores the importance of enhancing religious education oriented towards moderation, strengthening the role of religious institutions in promoting dialogue and tolerance, and encouraging community participation in fostering harmony. The proposed recommendations include expanding proven-effective religious moderation programs and allocating adequate resources to support the practical implementation of Pancasila values in everyday community life. This research aims to provide guidance for policymakers, academics, and practitioners to strengthen the foundation of interreligious harmony and advance Pancasila values as the moral and ethical cornerstone of the Indonesian nation.

Pancasila is a legacy of our ancestors and has very noble values. Indonesian people should be proud to have Pancasila as a democratic state philosophy. The Pancasila philosophy needs to be lived in a spirit of honesty, justice, solidarity and openness. This guarantees the realization of a peaceful and prosperous life. Thus, Pancasila is the spirit of unity in building religious moderation in Indonesia. This will guarantee protection for every citizen in all aspects of life, especially religious freedom.

This study aims to develop an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum that incorporates multicultural values to foster religious moderation among students. The proposed curriculum integrates principles of cultural diversity and tolerance into PAI learning materials, allowing students to comprehend Islamic teachings while also appreciating and interacting harmoniously with adherents of other religions. Utilizing a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach, this study addresses multicultural education as a relatively new phenomenon in PAI courses, emphasized as an essential competency for both lecturers and students. The phenomenological approach seeks to understand the daily lives and intersubjective experiences of the participants, aiming to reveal the meaning of concepts and phenomena as perceived by individuals. Conducted in a natural setting, this approach permits unrestricted interpretation of the phenomenon, granting researchers the freedom to analyze the data comprehensively. The findings indicate that a multicultural PAI curriculum effectively promotes an understanding of religious moderation among students and heightens awareness of the importance of multicultural perspectives in religion. These results are intended to guide educators and policymakers in creating a more inclusive PAI curriculum, thereby supporting the development of a peaceful and harmonious society.

The enthusiasm to preserve the values of Pancasila becomes the soul and "spirit" that maintains the integrity of the Nation and Indonesia. Indonesia, which has various differences, remains united with the motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika". This motto is realized in real action based on an attitude of openness, solidarity and love for the integrity of the Unity State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). This awareness was born from the belief that the noble values of Pancasila can unite the Republic of Indonesia with all its diversity. The aim of this research is to raise collective awareness of the reality of diversity being a legacy of the ancestors and founders of the Republic of Indonesia that is maintained and developed, not as a vice versa which threat for unity. To explore this theme, the researchers used the library research method. Through the data found, the researchers processes it systematically and critically. The diversity that exists on the archipelago is a "gift" from Allah, the creator of the universe. The plurality of ethnicities, religions, races and groups (SARA) is the uniqueness and beauty of Indonesia compared to other countries. An important implication to be promoted is respect for ethnic, cultural and religious differences as beautiful "flowers" in harmonious living together. In this way, every citizen tries to live up to the values of Pancasila. Pancasila is a modus vivendi that mobilizes groups of citizens to contribute to the construction of a "new home" in this country by uniting the vision, mission and sense of national solidarity.

Islamic religious education has been widely developed at every stage of school, where the aim of this education is to introduce religion as a way of life to teenagers or children at an age before puberty. Islamic religious education also has an impact on strengthening religious moderation. What is meant by religious moderation is an effort to understand the followers of the Islamic religion so that they practice its teachings without being trapped in two extreme poles, namely too loose or too strict. To provide this understanding not only through preaching at religious studies, it can be done in the world of education which has great potential in providing an understanding of the Islamic religion for its adherents. School education itself has a theory for understanding and its objects are very clear to children or teenagers, so it has the potential to strengthen religious moderation.

The approach used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. The tools used to obtain data are observation sheets and interview sheets. Meanwhile, the methods used are observation and interviews. The results of the research show that the Kletek village community has established religious moderation since Islam entered the Keletek area.
