Bullying in schools continues to be a serious concern that adversely impacts students’ psychological well-being, social relationships, and academic performance. Factors such as low empathy, inadequate social skills, and limited environmental control contribute significantly to this behavior. This study seeks to examine the implementation of group guidance as an approach to reducing bullying among students. A qualitative descriptive method was utilized, involving participants consisting of students identified as bullying perpetrators, school counselors, and victims. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation, which were analyzed through processes of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results reveal that group guidance leads to positive behavioral changes in students, such as enhanced empathy, greater self-awareness, and improved communication and social interaction abilities. Furthermore, a reduction in both verbal and social bullying behaviors was observed. The group dynamics established during the sessions enabled students to better understand the consequences of their actions and gain insights from the experiences of others. These findings imply that group guidance can serve as an effective and sustainable strategy for preventing and managing bullying in school settings.

Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior that is intentionally and repeatedly carried out, characterized by an imbalance of power between the perpetrator and the victim. This phenomenon is not limited to childhood and adolescence but may also produce long term effects that extend into adulthood, including among university students. This study aims to explore the long term impact of bullying on victims’ mental health, with a particular focus on students who have experienced bullying in the past. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method using a literature review approach. Data were obtained through a comprehensive analysis of scientific articles, national and international journals, and previous studies related to bullying and mental health. The findings show that victims of bullying face a higher risk of psychological problems, such as depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD, low self esteem, and difficulties in social interactions. These effects influence not only emotional well-being but also academic functioning, including reduced concentration, decreased learning motivation, and lower academic performance. In addition, prolonged psychological stress resulting from bullying may lead to physical problems, such as sleep disturbances and somatic complaints. Factors including limited social support, maladaptive coping strategies, and high intensity or prolonged exposure to bullying were found to intensify the negative impacts experienced by victims. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of comprehensive prevention and intervention efforts in higher education settings, such as the provision of accessible counseling services, the implementation of strict anti bullying policies, and the strengthening of social support systems to minimize the long-term mental health effects of bullying among university students.

This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to increase high school students’ knowledge and awareness regarding the dangers of bullying and its prevention through the principles of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). The methods used in this activity included delivering educational materials through lectures, conducting question-and-answer sessions to assess students’ initial understanding, and facilitating interactive discussions to encourage active participation. Monitoring and evaluation were also conducted to assess the effectiveness of the activity. The results of the program indicated a significant improvement in students’ understanding and awareness of the forms, impacts, and prevention strategies related to bullying in the school environment. Students also demonstrated a more critical attitude toward bullying behavior and a greater awareness of the importance of creating a safe, healthy, and respectful school environment. The application of an OSH-based approach in bullying prevention is expected to strengthen the safety culture in schools and support the development of a conducive learning environment for all students.

Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior commonly experienced by adolescents and has significant impacts on both physical and mental health. Schools, as primary social environments for teenagers, often become settings where bullying occurs. Several factors contribute to this behavior, particularly peer influence, family roles, and social media use. This study aimed to analyze factors related to bullying behavior among adolescents in a junior high school, including respondent characteristics, peer influence, family roles, and social media usage, as well as their relationships with bullying behavior. This research used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design involving 71 eighth-grade students as respondents. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed with the Chi-Square test. The results showed significant relationships between peer factors (p=0.003), family roles (p<0.001), and social media use (p=0.001) with bullying behavior. A large proportion of respondents reported high social media usage (45.1%) and low family involvement (45.1%), while more than half (53.5%) were categorized as being at risk of engaging in bullying behavior. These findings indicate that adolescents are strongly influenced by their social environment, both offline and online. Negative peer interactions and limited family supervision can increase the likelihood of bullying behavior. In conclusion, peer factors, family roles, and social media use are significantly associated with bullying among adolescents. Therefore, collaboration between families, schools, and communities is essential through psychosocial assessments, increased family involvement, and character education programs to prevent and reduce bullying behavior.

Bullying remains a critical issue in elementary school environments and significantly affects students’ social-emotional development. The lack of confidence among students to report negative experiences often results in bullying cases remaining undetected. This study aims to describe the implementation of Padlet as a reflective digital tool to encourage students’ self-expression and to analyze students’ reflections as indicators of a safe and supportive learning climate. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving 14 sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Demulih. Data were collected through reflective Padlet posts, activity documentation, and thematic deductive analysis based on the Aggression Continuum Theory. The findings reveal three categories of social interaction: (1) high-risk behaviors related to dominance and indicators of bullying, (2) medium-risk interactions involving verbal teasing normalization and ambiguous conflicts, and (3) low-risk interactions indicating positive peer relations and social needs. Padlet proved effective as a safe digital space for students to express emotional experiences anonymously and facilitated early identification of potential bullying. These results highlight the importance of utilizing reflective digital platforms to foster preventive, inclusive, and psychologically secure classroom environments.

Bullying is an aggressive act that is often repeated and directed at individuals in a weaker position, causing detrimental effects on psychological aspects, particularly children's self-esteem. When children's self-esteem is low, they tend to consider themselves worthless and choose to avoid social interaction. This study aims to analyze the correlation between Bullying behavior and self-esteem levels among elementary school students. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. All 97 students in grades IV, V, and VI at SD Negeri 11 Banda Aceh were used as research subjects through total sampling. The questionnaire used included indicators of Bullying behavior and self-esteem levels. Based on the data obtained, of the 54 students identified as experiencing high levels of Bullying behavior, 44 children or 45.4% showed low self-esteem. On the other hand, of the 43 students who were exposed to low levels of Bullying, 35 of them, or about 36.1%, had high self-esteem. The chi-square test in this study produced a p-value of 0.000, indicating a significant relationship between Bullying patterns and self-esteem levels in children. Bullying in the school environment, especially at the high school level, has become an issue that is increasingly disturbing and urgent to be addressed. Many students who are victims of bullying experience lasting negative impacts, both psychologically and socially. This phenomenon not only affects students' academic lives, but can also result in serious emotional problems, such as depression and anxiety. Therefore, it is important to find effective solutions to prevent bullying behavior in schools. In this research, researchers used interview methods to explore in-depth data about individual experiences, opinions or feelings that are difficult to measure quantitatively. The role of Indonesian language teachers is very strategic. Apart from teaching language and literature, teachers have the opportunity to instill moral values through selected learning materials. Literary works, for example, often contain themes of humanity and social interaction that are relevant to bullying behavior. By integrating Christian values in language learning, teachers can help students understand the importance of empathy and compassion in relationships between people. From the results of research that has been conducted, it is clear that Indonesian language teachers at Marisi Medan Private High School have a crucial role in preventing bullying through instilling Christian values.

Elementary school learning is often an important context in understanding the role of self-esteem in preventing bullying. In situations where direct interaction is limited, the role of self-esteem is key in shaping students' responses to social pressures such as bullying. This study aims to conduct a systematic literature review using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) method to explore how self-esteem influences and can be used to prevent bullying at the elementary school level. This article presents an in-depth literature review related to the role of self-esteem in preventing bullying in elementary school environments. By analyzing eight related articles, this study identified that high self-esteem acts as a significant protective factor against the tendency to become victims of bullying. On the other hand, children with low self-esteem tend to be more vulnerable to bullying behavior. The findings of this study highlight that self-esteem plays an important role in reducing bullying behavior among elementary school students. The selected articles suggest that increasing self-esteem can reduce the likelihood of bullying and help students cope with potentially detrimental social pressures.

Bullying is an aggressive behavior that threatens and intimidates someone, often driven by an individual's sense of superiority. Research indicates that verbal bullying, especially among teenage girls, is associated with factors such as lack of family attention, social pressure, and exposure to violence through social media. The impact of bullying includes mental health disorders, disruptions in interpersonal relationships, and negative influences on education. Children who are victims of bullying face social challenges, fear of attending school, high absenteeism rates, and academic difficulties. The current era's developments have given rise to cyberbullying, resulting in serious implications for mental and physical health, as well as potential dangers to an individual's safety. Despite experiencing negative effects, some bullying victims still achieve satisfactory academic performance, demonstrating resilience. Solutions involve multi-party interventions, with roles for teachers, counselors, students, and parents. Teachers need to manage interactions in the classroom, counselors provide psychological support, and class discussions create an open environment. Parental involvement is crucial in providing support to students experiencing ostracism. All aim to create an inclusive classroom environment, minimize bullying, and promote positive behavior among young people.
