Minerals are solid objects that can be found in nature, formed inorganically, with chemical composition at certain limits and have atoms arranged regularly. Rocks can be distinguished based on the formation process and mineral content. The purpose of this study is to identify minerals in sedimentary rocks and laterite deposits in this study used analytical methods, namely Binocular Microscope and XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) laboratory tests. XRD analysis is used to determine the type of mineral in the sample. Based on the results of the XRD X-Ray Diffraction lab test, each sample has a different mineral content.

People's mining activities in Gamey Village, Uwapa District, Nabire Regency, Central Papua Province are carried out to meet daily needs and improve the welfare of the local community. This mining activity is based on alluvial deposit conditions and is applied for mining sediments on the surface and using alcon machines. for high pressure water spray. This community mining activity is divided into several stages starting from preparation of mining land, processing and production processes as well as selling gold products for sale. This research aims to examine the gold processing used by small-scale miners in Uwapa District, Gamey Village, and its impact on the environment and public health. The main focus of this research is on the use of the sluice box method, which is the gold processing technique most commonly used by local communities. This method was chosen for its simplicity and low cost, although the gold recovery efficiency varies between 50-70%. Additionally, this research evaluates alternative technologies such as shake tables and centrifuges that can increase gold recovery efficiency and be more environmentally friendly. The research results show that the implementation of alternative technology requires training, procurement of adequate equipment and infrastructure as well as ongoing monitoring. By adopting better technology, it is hoped that gold mining activities in Gamey Village can run more productively and sustainably, improving community welfare without damaging the environment.

Takokak fruit is one of the plants that can be used to lower blood sugar levels. This study aims to identify the bioactive compounds of ethanol extract of takokak fruit and test the antidiabetic ethyl acetate fraction. Antidiabetic testing was carried out by in vivo testing using the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) method to see the decrease in blood glucose levels using white rats as test animals. The test results showed that takokak fruit contains flavonoids, steroids, and tannins. Fractionation is the process of extracting compounds from the extract using two types of solvents that do not mix with each other. The results of the antidiabetic test showed that the ethyl acetate fraction with glibenclamide as a comparator had the ability as an antidiabetic measured by the amount of difference in the decrease in blood glucose levels in the test animal group T₃₀ to T₁₂₀. From the results obtained, the average decrease in blood glucose levels in the negative control group (Na CMC) was 5.8 mg/dL, the positive control group (Glibenclamide) 21.03 mg/dL, and the fraction group 9.86 mg/dL. Takokak fruit has antidiabetic activity. Compounds that have antidiabetic activity are flavonoids, tannins, and steroids.

Takokak fruit contains bioactive compounds that can be used as antidiabetics. This study aims to identify bioactive compounds of ethanol extract of takokak fruit and antidiabetic test of n-Hexane fraction. The method used to obtain the extract is maceration using ethanol . Antidiabetic testing is carried out through in vivo testing with the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) method on white rats. Secondary metabolites are compounds contained in taakokak fruit that are identified as flavonoids, saponins, tannins, steroids and terpenoids . The results of the antidiabetic test showed that the n-Hexane fraction with glibencamide as a comparator has the ability as an antidiabetic in terms of the amount of difference in blood glucose levels in the test animal group from T 30 to T 120 . The average decrease in blood glucose levels in the negative control group (Na-CMC) was 108.67 mg/dL, the positive control group ( glibencamide ) 174.67 mg/dL, the 5% concentration fraction group 35.33 mg/dL, the 10% concentration fraction group 30.67 mg/dL, the 20% concentration fraction group 47.67 mg/dL.

Exclusive breastfeeding for newborns is an effort to prevent infectious diseases, malnutrition and death in babies and toddlers. The achievement of exclusive breastfeeding is still low, indicating that there are factors preventing mothers from giving exclusive breastfeeding for six months to their babies. The low number of breastfeeding mothers is motivated by the lack of awareness among mothers regarding the importance of breast milk for the growth and development of their children. This study aims to determine the characteristics of mothers who do not provide exclusive breastfeeding at the Bajeng Community Health Center, Gowa Regency. The method used in this research is a descriptive design which is a type of analytical and observational research design with a total sample of 30 people selected using total sampling techniques. The results of the research showed that of the 30 respondents, 24 respondents were able to provide exclusive breastfeeding with the age of 20-35 years and the highest number of domestic workers were 18 respondents or (100%), while in terms of family support the highest number of respondents were able to provide exclusive breastfeeding were 12 respondents or (66.7%). In terms of education, the highest number of mothers who were able to provide exclusive breastfeeding were high school/vocational school education with 17 respondents or (56.7%) and the highest number of mothers who were able to provide exclusive breastfeeding were primigravida mothers with 8 respondents.

Rice holds a significant place as a staple food in Indonesia, with its life cycle spanning between 3 to 6 months, depending on the specific variety. An essential part of preserving the quality of rice grains is the drying process. This research aims to investigate how drying affects the quality of rice during this crucial stage. The findings of this study are not only intended to build upon previous research but also to serve as valuable guidance for farmers in making informed decisions about the drying process, ultimately ensuring optimal quality in their harvested grains. This study employed an experimental approach using a completely randomized design, wherein treatments were assigned randomly across all experimental units. The results indicated that the duration of drying significantly impacts the quality of rice grains. It was found that optimal drying occurs over a period of 3 to 4 days under sunlight on a tarpaulin base, which can be effectively used as a benchmark for assessing the quality characteristics of milled upland rice.

Stunting is a major health problem in Indonesia which affects physical, cognitive growth and future disease risk. This study aims to analyze the effect of drinking water source quality on the prevalence of stunting in Gorontalo Province. The research is a quantitative research. The source of data in this study is secondary data with a target number of 208,303 households who are couples of childbearing age, pregnant women, and families with children 0-59 months in Gorontalo Province. Analysis result showed that there is a significant influence between drinking inadequate water and the risk of stunting with a sig value. 0.003, and the value of R = 0.956 and R² = 0.913, which means that 91.3% of the drinking water variable affects the level of stunting risk.  Inadequate water increases the risk of infections such as diarrhea, which inhibits the absorption of nutrients. Providing clean water should be a priority to reduce stunting. However, this intervention needs to be complemented by improved sanitation, community education, and improved child nutrition. This study is expected to be the basis of strategic policies to reduce the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia.
