This study aims to examine the effect of using the Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review (SQ3R) method assisted by digital story texts on students' critical thinking skills in the material "Book of the Window World" of grade V of SD Negeri 104202 Bandar Setia. The background of this study is based on the low critical thinking skills of students due to the dominance of conventional methods that are less varied and minimal use of learning media, especially in Indonesian subjects. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a Nonrandomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of class VA (experimental, n = 22) who received learning with the SQ3R method assisted by digital story texts, and class VB (control, n = 23) who received conventional learning. The pretest results showed that students' initial critical thinking skills were in the moderate category (experimental x ̄ = 67.23; control x ̄ = 51.96). After the treatment, the experimental class' posttest average increased significantly to 82.41, or 15.18 points, while the control class did not experience any significant improvement. A t-test demonstrated a significant difference between the two groups (t count > t table). The study's conclusions indicate that the SQ3R method, aided by digital narrative texts, significantly improved students' critical thinking skills compared to conventional methods.

This study aims to examine the strategy of meaning in Arabic language learning at SMA Terpadu Darut Tauhid with a focus on understanding narrative texts. Through a qualitative-descriptive approach, data were obtained from observations of learning activities, documentation, and in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and language program managers. The results of the study indicate that strategies such as Jigsaw, Index Card Match, and direct methods (al-thariqah al-mubasyarah) are effective in improving students' linguistic understanding and contextual values. The implementation of these strategies is carried out in an integrated manner in a daily language-based program, supported by a conducive religious environment. The use of narrative texts, especially the stories of the prophets and companions, not only enriches the mastery of mufradat and tarkib, but also becomes a means of internalizing the values of akhlakul karimah. The challenge of time constraints is overcome through creative approaches such as role-play and short dialogues. This study recommends the importance of integration between linguistic strategies and spiritual values in Arabic language learning in a religious-based educational environment.

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using short stories to enhance the writing creativity of fourth-grade elementary students through a literature review approach. It employs a qualitative descriptive method with a non-experimental design. Data were gathered from various written sources such as scientific journals, books, and relevant proceedings, focusing on the role of short stories as a medium for writing instruction. The findings indicate that short stories can stimulate students' imagination, expressive abilities, and narrative understanding through structured plots rich in emotional meaning. Short stories also support students in composing more organized, creative, and expressive narrative texts, in line with the concrete thinking stage of Piaget’s theory. This approach aligns with constructivist principles, as it encourages students to connect personal experiences with story content. In the learning process, short stories are considered more engaging than traditional methods because they create a more interactive and meaningful learning environment. Therefore, the use of short stories has the potential to be an effective instructional strategy in fostering writing creativity and building a strong foundation in literacy from an early age.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the Effectiveness of story-mapping techniques in teaching narrative text reading. The method used in this study is the method experiment; the researcher chose the group pre-test and post-test design. The population of this research was all the students in the eighth grade at SMPN 5 Jombang, consisting of nine classes and a total of 279 students. The researchers examine the data after gathering it. The story mapping method is an effective approach for improving students' reading skills. This Effectiveness is achieved when the score is statistically significant, with a p-value lower than 0.05 in a two-tailed test. The result is known that student learning achievement in learning narrative texts in classes using story mapping techniques has increased significantly compared to classes without story map techniques. This statement is in accordance with data collection calculations by comparing the observation t value (to = 2.35) with the t table (tt = 2.00). It can be seen that to is higher than tt (to >tt). In conclusion, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Therefore, teaching reading narrative texts using story mapping techniques is effective at SMPN 5 JOMBANG.
