This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes and activeness of class VII F students of MTs Darul Hikmah Tulungagung in Social Studies (IPS) lessons due to the use of monotonous lecture methods. The purpose of this study is to improve students' activeness and cognitive abilities through the application of board-based scrabble media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles with four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 27 students, with data collection techniques through tests, observation, and documentation, and data analysis using average scores. Student activeness was observed based on learning activeness indicators, while cognitive abilities were measured through pre-tests and post-tests based on Bloom's taxonomy. The results of the study showed an increase in student activeness from 62% in cycle I to 87% in cycle II, as well as an increase in the average cognitive ability from 18.51% to 77.77%. These findings indicate that scrabble media is effective in improving students' activeness and cognitive abilities in IPS learning.  The implication is that game-based learning media can be widely applied to non-language materials to create more interactive and meaningful learning.

The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, using interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that the use of Smart TV has a positive impact on students' enthusiasm, motivation, and comprehension in IPS learning. Visuals and animations presented through Smart TV attract students' attention, enhance learning focus, and provide stronger conceptual understanding. However, challenges were also identified, such as unstable internet connection, weak electricity supply, and misuse by students. School management strategies and teacher readiness are crucial factors for successful implementation. With proper management, Smart TV can serve as an interactive, efficient, and relevant learning medium to meet the challenges of digital-era education.

Market-Day provides real simulations that integrate economic theory into daily practice, thereby helping students better understand and apply economic values in their lives. This research uses a literature study approach by referring to relevant scientific sources, such as books, journals and research reports. The study results show that Market-Day is not only effective in increasing understanding of economic theory, but also strengthens students' managerial skills and financial awareness. With this experience-based learning, students are taught to be more responsible and innovative, so they are better prepared to face economic challenges in the future. This article concludes that Market-Day is a strategic approach that can be applied in elementary schools to combine economic learning with the development of students' life skills, especially in supporting the Merdeka Curriculum which is oriented towards holistic learning.

In an effort to enhance the relevance of learning and student engagement, the integration of events into the Social Science curriculum (IPS) has been the focus of attention. This research will examine methods and outcomes related to the integration of current events into the IPS curriculum and how it affects learning. By analyzing relevant literature, this study shows that integrating current events has great potential to improve students' understanding of IPS concepts, their motivation to learn, and their level of involvement in the learning process. Moreover, integrating recent events can help create a learning environment that is closer to the student's everyday life. However, issues such as the availability of resources and the balance between local and global issues must be addressed in order to integrate current events. The results of this study have significant consequences for those working in the field of education, especially IPS teachers in designing learning strategies that can enhance the relevance and involvement of students in IPS learning.
