This study aims to determine the role of Islamic scholars in developing Islamic education, then analyze the contribution of the Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). This research method is a library study (library research) with historical documents (historical document research) with a qualitative approach. Data obtained from two search sources, “Google Scholar” and “ScienceDirect.” The discussion in this article identifies, first, the role of Islamic scholars in developing Islamic education, namely: managing Islamic boarding schools as centers of Islamic education; maintaining Islamic identity and nationalism; establishing and managing madrasas; teaching Islam informally; and helping maintain social stability. Second, the contribution of the Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) includes maintaining Islamic boarding schools as centers of Islamic education, developing a curriculum based on Islamic tradition, instilling a spirit of nationalism through education, establishing madrasas and non-formal educational institutions, and maintaining traditional Islamic educational networks. In addition to preserving religious heritage, these ulama and the NU organization taught the next generation about knowledge and a sense of nationalism, strengthening the foundation of Indonesian society during the colonial period.

The research departs from the phenomenon of the development of Islamic boarding school education models with varying names and styles. Islamic boarding schools are faced with two important problems in adapting to the demands of the times, namely the problem of developing Islamic boarding school governance without abandoning tradition and the Islamic boarding school's identity in producing a generation with good morals. The research objectives are to identify the management of Sufistic curriculum development in Islamic boarding schools including; 1) Curriculum planning, 2) Curriculum organization, 3) Curriculum implementation, 4) Curriculum evaluation and 5) Impact of Islamic boarding school management in developing the Sufistic curriculum at Al-Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School and Al-Falah Biru Islamic Boarding School, Garut Regency. The research framework departs from George R. Terry's (1973) management theory, namely four management functions, namely: 1) Planning, 2) Organizing, 3) Actuating, 4) Controlling. The curriculum theory uses the Ralph W curriculum development model. Tyler curriculum development is carried out in systematic stages, namely; Objectives, Selecting Learning Experiences, Organizing Learning Experiences, Evaluation. Developing the Islamic boarding school curriculum has an impact on the morals of the students, as according to Sheikh Musthafa Al-Ghalayini, the implications of Sufistic moral values contribute to shaping behavior. This study uses a qualitative approach using the Ethnography method. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations and documentation analysis. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman analysis technique. While the validity test is carried out with data validity by conducting tests; credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results of the study found that the management of the development of the Islamic boarding school curriculum in preparing a generation with Sufi morals: First, the Islamic boarding school curriculum is included in the traditionalist model of the school, namely by showing its traditional and school character. Second, the organization of the curriculum content consists of the contents of the curriculum, data, concepts, generalizations, and subject matter at the Islamic Boarding School. Third, Curriculum development is categorized as a grass roots model where there are initiatives and efforts coming from below, namely ustadz and Islamic boarding schools in developing a curriculum that is designed by themselves to produce a generation with Sufi morals. Fourth, Curriculum evaluation refers to the Objective Model Evaluation model (objective model) carried out at the end of curriculum development, this assessment activity is often called summative evaluation. Fifth, The impact of curriculum management on the level of morals is shown by the nature of istiqomah, self-control, prioritizing Islamic and basyariyah brotherhood, tolerance, honesty, sincerity, istiqomah, patience, gratitude, politeness and helping each other. The purpose of this research is to describe the extent of the role of the alumni of the Sheikh Muhammad Dahlan Aek Hayuara Sibuhuan Islamic Boarding School in advancing education in the Barumun District Area. The Islamic Boarding School, which is the oldest in Padang Lawas district, has graduated many of the best alumni, ranging from great Ulama, Think Figures, ASN, TNI/POLRI, Islamic Boarding School Leaders, Lecturers in Higher Education, and Teachers in various formal and non-formal Educational Institutions. The Islamic boarding school which was established in 1938 was founded by Sheikh Muhammad Dahlan Hasibuan. The role of alumni in developing education has a significant impact and covers various aspects that are essential for the progress of educational institutions. Alumni, as a product of the education system, have experience, knowledge, and resources that can be utilized to support the development of education. They can contribute through improving the quality of education by acting as mentors, providing advice based on professional experience, and sharing information on relevant industry needs. In addition, financial support from alumni through donations, scholarships, and fundraising can help educational institutions in providing better facilities and innovative programs.

Islamic boarding schools, as traditional Islamic educational institutions, have an important role in forming the character, morals and faith of the younger generation in Indonesia. In facing the demands of increasingly modern times, marketing management has become an integral part of the sustainability and development of Islamic boarding schools. This article discusses the importance of marketing management in the context of Islamic boarding schools, as well as the changes and challenges faced in finding a balance between tradition and modernity. Islamic boarding school marketing management involves identifying the target audience, developing an image and brand, utilizing technology, and measuring and evaluating results. Islamic boarding schools must understand who their potential students are, build a positive image, utilize technology, and measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts. The main challenge is to maintain traditional values ​​while opening up to elements of modernity. This can be achieved with technology integration, a unified approach, and partnerships with the business world. Proper marketing management allows Islamic boarding schools to remain relevant in educating the younger generation who are religiously and morally strong while remaining competitive in an increasingly modern world.Thus, marketing management in Islamic boarding schools is key to maintaining and enhancing their role in society, helping them move from tradition to modernity with success.

In the economic field, cooperatives are a form of cooperation in the economic sector. People believe in this collaboration because their lives share some of the same needs. One of the Islamic Boarding School Owned Enterprises (BUMP) at the Izzatuna Putra Palembang Islamic Boarding School is a pesantren cooperative that works to support the economy and improve the economy. This study aims to: (1) Describe the extent to which Islamic boarding school cooperatives have contributed to the economic expansion of Islamic boarding schools., (2) What is the role of cooperatives in improving the economy of the Islamic boarding school Izzatuna Putra Palembang in the study of Islamic economics. This is a type of field research using primary and secondary data sources. The data obtained will be presented with narrative text. This study uses qualitative data analysis methods/techniques using inductive thinking methods. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The role of cooperatives in improving the Islamic boarding school's economy is marked by the development of cooperatives that run a trading business every day where a portion of the profits will be deposited to the Islamic boarding school, both material and non-material, and the Islamic boarding school cooperative is also very helpful. in increasing the income of members of the cooperative and the Islamic boarding school community. (2) Then the role of the Izzatuna Putra Palembang Islamic Boarding School Cooperative in improving the economy of the Izzatuna Putra Palembang Islamic Boarding School in an Islamic perspective is carried out in several ways, namely: sharia economic values ​​in helping the community's economy, and avoiding incompatibility of sharia economic principles.
