Currently, technological advances are very rapid and sophisticated. It is not surprising that this progress is utilized by many sectors, both private and government. The government must use technology to develop more sophisticated and inventive government systems. One of them is a unique finger impression-based attendance method that is used to discipline employees in carrying out their duties. The purpose of this research is to find out how effective the use of unique finger impressions is to discipline employees at the Malang Regency Transportation Service, how effective the use of unique finger impressions is to increase employee discipline, and the steps taken to improve employee discipline. This study is based on an inductive approach combined with a descriptive approach. Data collection methods include interviews, observation, and documentation. According to Tangkilisan (2005: 141), there are four ways to evaluate effectiveness: target achievement, adaptability, job satisfaction, and responsibility. By using unique finger impressions, employee discipline and organizational performance improve. However, there are several challenges, one of which is that employees continue to come for unique finger impressions rather than performance, which hinders them from completing tasks on time. One of the efforts made by the Malang Regency Transportation Service is to carry out direct supervision from the leadership and apply disciplinary penalties objectively and according to procedures. The author suggests improving or updating unique fingerprint scanning machine technology, especially the sensitivity of the scanner in reading fingerprints, and adding one unit of unique fingerprint scanning machine

This article aims to explain how encounters at Secangkir Jawa, Yogyakarta, are conducted through an analysis of George Caspar Homans' Exchange Theory. This research employs qualitative methods with a field study and an analytical approach. Data collection techniques include direct interviews with friends who frequently meet at Secangkir Jawa, and literature sources are used to strengthen the theoretical analysis. The findings demonstrate that encounters at Secangkir Jawa, Yogyakarta, are inextricably linked to the stories and interests underlying the students' presence, each with their own goals. In essence, humans are always present in interactions with their own interests and always seek profit. Analyzing this with George Caspar Homans' social exchange theory, it can be seen that encounters at Secangkir Jawa are always associated with both material and non-material interests. Looking more specifically at Homans' fundamentals, the success proposition is seen when regular encounters provide rewards, encouraging continued attendance. Meanwhile, the value proposition suggests that the greater the benefit gained, the greater the motivation to attend.

The SIAP application (Presence Activation Information System) has been implemented at the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency since 2022. Although good attendance has been the first step, it also requires optimal bureaucratic performance as an effort to achieve institutional goals. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the use of the SIAP Application (Presence Activation Information System) has an influence on employee performance at the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM). This study used quantitative methods and involved the entire population, namely 38 employees of the Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency. Data collection was carried out through distributing questionnaires to all BKPSDM employees as respondents, documentation and observation. The results of the analysis using the T test show that the significant value (0.002) is smaller than the probability of 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which means "The use of the SIAP application has an influence on employee performance (Y)." Although the SIAP Application Usage Variable (X) and the Employee Performance Variable (Y) are related, respondents' responses show some shortcomings related to the use of the SIAP Application (Presence Activation Information System), such as unstable network access constraints. Nevertheless, good attendance still has a positive effect on improving employee performance. Employee Performance Evaluation shows deficiencies in the indicators of Quality, Quantity, Timeliness, and Independence.
