The development of the Islamic economy globally continues to show an encouraging increase. However, in Indonesia, Islamic financial literacy and inclusion are still relatively low. One of the main challenges is the gap between theoretical understanding and application of Islamic financial products, especially among Gen-Z students. This study aims to evaluate students' level of knowledge about Islamic finance and their tendency to manage their personal finances, as well as identify factors that hinder the use of Islamic financial services. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through questionnaires. A total of 77 students from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) became respondents in this study. The results obtained show that although students have a fairly good level of literacy and high interest in the Islamic financial system, it has not been followed by real practice in everyday life. The findings emphasize the need to increase educational efforts, utilize digital media more effectively, and strengthen the accessibility of Islamic financial services among the younger generation.

The transformation of the Islamic education curriculum based on digital literacy is an essential step to enhance student engagement in higher education learning. This study aims to examine the implementation of digital literacy in the Islamic education curriculum and its impact on the quality of learning. A qualitative approach was used, involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that although some Islamic higher education institutions have integrated technology into learning, challenges related to lecturer readiness, digital access inequality, and limited resources remain major obstacles. Students responded positively to digital-based learning, which provided easier access to study materials and facilitated online interaction. However, the digital access gap needs to be addressed promptly to create a more equitable learning experience. The implications of this study suggest the need for ongoing lecturer training, improved technological infrastructure, and curriculum policies that support more effective integration of digital literacy in Islamic higher education.

This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding of residents in the Jagakarsa,  South Jakarta, regarding the meaning and importance of literacy, particularly in facing the challenges of the digital information era. The underlying problem addressed in this activity is the low level of literacy awareness among the community, as indicated by the tendency to accept and spread information without verification, the lack of a reading culture, and limited understanding of various types of literacy, such as media, digital, and financial literacy. To overcome these issues, the team of lecturers conducted a literacy outreach activity using a casual discussion method, which was chosen for its effectiveness in reaching the community in an informal and communicative setting. The materials presented included the definition of literacy, the importance of filtering information, how to verify the accuracy of news, and the role of families in fostering a culture of literacy. The activity involved residents from diverse backgrounds and was conducted interactively, where participants were not only passive listeners but also engaged in active discussions and shared personal experiences related to literacy challenges. The results showed that the residents responded positively to the outreach, gained new insights, and expressed a commitment to start applying a culture of literacy within their families and communities. This activity demonstrates that a simple yet well-targeted approach can have a tangible impact in raising literacy awareness at the grassroots level.

Recently, the public has been shocked by the high number of bad debts among Millennials. The development of digital technology brings various conveniences, but also presents new threats to children and teenagers. The high percentage of online loan borrowers aged 19-34 years, as well as children who are caught in online gambling, is a major concern. Around 60 percent of online loan users (pinjol) have an easy target of young people aged 19-34 years, and even 80 thousand children under the age of 10 are caught in online gambling (judol). The problem is, the Millennial generation or those aged 19-34 years are the largest "contributors" to these bad debts. Various experts say that the Millennial generation is in debt because of the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) phenomenon, aka following trends so as not to feel "left behind". Some other experts think that their financial literacy is low.
