Akuntansi dan Ekonomi Pajak: Perspektif Global 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

This study aims to examine the effect of liquidity, profitability, leverage, and accounts receivable turnover on financial distress. The sample used in this study is banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2021-2024 period. The population sample in this study is 47 companies. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling method, resulting in 10 companies. The type of data for this study is secondary data obtained from www.idx.co.id. The analytical method used was multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously, the variables liquidity, profitability, leverage, and accounts receivable turnover significantly influence financial distress. Partially, the liquidity variable has a negative and significant effect on financial distress, while the profitability variable has a negative and significant effect on financial distress. Leverage and accounts receivable turnover have no effect on financial distress. Furthermore, the Adjusted R-square coefficient is 95.3%, indicating that 4.7% is influenced by other variables. These findings suggest that companies with better liquidity and profitability levels have a lower probability of experiencing financial distress. This aligns with the theory that high liquidity ensures the availability of cash to meet short-term obligations, while strong profitability supports operational sustainability and investor confidence. On the other hand, leverage and accounts receivable turnover did not significantly affect financial distress, which may indicate that banking companies have a more stable debt structure and effective credit management, reducing their influence on distress conditions. This research provides practical insights for company management, investors, and regulators. For managers, maintaining optimal liquidity and profitability levels is essential to prevent financial difficulties. For investors, liquidity and profitability indicators can serve as reliable references for investment decision-making.

This study investigates the influence of economic growth, investment, and minimum wage on the open unemployment rate across districts and cities in East Kalimantan Province. The research employs a quantitative descriptive approach with panel data regression analysis, processed using EViews 13 software. Model selection was carried out through the Chow and Hausman tests, which identified the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as the most appropriate estimation technique. The study utilizes secondary data from 2018 to 2024, obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office of East Kalimantan Province. The empirical findings demonstrate that economic growth exerts a negative and statistically significant impact on the open unemployment rate, indicating that higher economic growth effectively contributes to reducing unemployment in the region. Foreign Investment (PMA) is found to have a negative but insignificant effect, suggesting that inflows of foreign capital alone do not directly translate into job creation unless accompanied by supporting policies and local labor absorption capacity. In contrast, Domestic Investment (PMDN) shows a positive yet statistically insignificant relationship with unemployment, reflecting the possibility that domestic investments may not always generate sufficient employment opportunities in the short term due to structural constraints or sectoral imbalances. Furthermore, the minimum wage variable has a negative and significant effect on the open unemployment rate, implying that increases in the regional minimum wage can stimulate greater employment absorption and improve labor market conditions. Overall, the results highlight the importance of fostering sustained economic growth and designing investment policies that are more labor-intensive to optimize employment creation. Additionally, the findings emphasize the strategic role of minimum wage policy in supporting job opportunities while safeguarding workers’ welfare.

The deployment of TNI soldiers has caused controversy because it is considered to strengthen militarism in civilian institutions. The Attorney General's Office, TNI, and the Chief of Police have spoken out regarding the deployment of TNI soldiers to guard the Attorney General's Office Complex, as well as all High Prosecutors' Offices and District Prosecutors' Offices throughout Indonesia. This policy has attracted criticism from academics, observers, and civil society organizations, who argue that the involvement of the military in civilian institutions risks undermining democratic principles and civilian supremacy. The debate reflects Indonesia’s historical context, where the military once played a dual role in both defense and civilian governance, raising concerns that such practices may resurface. The deployment of TNI soldiers in the Prosecutor’s Office security system is an order from the TNI Commander as a form of cooperation with the Attorney General's Office. The order is explicitly stated in the TNI Commander’s Telegram Number TR/442/2025 dated May 6, 2025. Furthermore, this cooperation is formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the TNI and the Indonesian Prosecutor’s Office, namely Memorandum Number NK/6/IV/2023/TNI dated April 6, 2023. The MoU outlines eight areas of collaboration, including: (1) education and training; (2) exchange of information for law enforcement purposes; (3) assignment of TNI soldiers within the Prosecutor’s Office environment; and (4) assignment of prosecutors as supervisors at the TNI General Auditorate. These points are intended to strengthen coordination, improve institutional capacity, and foster synergy in law enforcement and security.

Animation has transcended its traditional association with children’s entertainment and emerged as a dynamic global medium that resonates with audiences across age groups. Beyond its role as a form of visual amusement, animation demonstrates significant potential in conveying meaningful narratives and creating emotional engagement through carefully crafted aesthetic experiences. A central element in the animation process is character design, where the combination of shape, color, and expression not only determines visual appeal but also functions as a medium for reflecting personality and emotional depth. This study aims to investigate the relationship between personal interests and personality traits in shaping visual preferences toward animation illustrations among children and adults. Through a literature review, the research highlights how individual interests—deeply influenced by developmental needs, social environment, and past experiences—play a crucial role in guiding aesthetic choices. Findings suggest that children are typically drawn to characters with simplified forms, bright and saturated colors, and exaggerated expressions that facilitate recognition, comprehension, and emotional connection. Conversely, adults tend to prefer more complex designs, incorporating nuanced emotional cues, realistic proportions, and layered symbolism that align with mature cognitive and emotional processing. The comparison underscores the importance of audience segmentation in animation design, particularly in creating characters that are not only visually engaging but also resonate with psychological and emotional expectations. By recognizing and addressing the distinct preferences of different age groups, animators and illustrators can develop content that is more contextually relevant, immersive, and capable of fostering long-term audience attachment. Ultimately, this study emphasizes that effective animation character design extends beyond technical artistry; it requires a deep understanding of human psychology, cultural influences, and the evolving nature of visual engagement across the lifespan.

The hospital operating room is one of the most crucial facilities in health services, so it requires a stable, reliable, and uninterrupted electricity supply to ensure patient safety and smooth medical procedures. The slightest electrical outage can pose a major risk, given that almost all vital medical equipment in the operating room relies on an electrical power supply. Therefore, the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system has an important role as a backup solution to ensure the continuity of electrical energy. This study aims to analyze the performance, capacity, and burden of UPS at Siti Fatimah Palembang Hospital using quantitative methods. Data was obtained through direct observation, interviews with technicians, technical documentation, and measurement of current and load power with standard-compliant measuring equipment. The focus of the analysis was directed at the Online Double Conversion type UPS with a capacity of 20 kVA which functions as the main supplier of backup electricity in the three operating rooms. The measurement results show that the total load reaches 8,855.5 VA or equivalent to 44.2% of the total capacity of the UPS. This load comes from 24 units of vital medical equipment, including operating lights, patient monitors, ventilators, anesthesia machines, and electrosurgical devices spread evenly across three operating rooms. With a power factor of 0.92 and a measurement current of 39.8 A, the performance of the UPS is quite efficient and safe to use. This shows that UPS capacity still has spare space to bear additional loads in the event of an increase in the number of medical equipment in the future. The conclusion of this study is that UPS at Siti Fatimah Palembang Hospital is able to work optimally in maintaining the stability of power supply, so that it can ensure the continuity of critical medical services in the operating room.

The use of palm oil waste as boiler fuel is one of the innovative solutions in supporting the use of renewable energy while reducing the environmental impact of palm oil industry waste. Waste such as palm shells, mesocarp fibers, and empty oil palm bunches have high energy potential through direct combustion and other thermal technologies. This study aims to evaluate the potential use of palm oil waste as boiler fuel based on its calorific value, combustion efficiency, and environmental impact. The methods used include analysis of the physical and chemical characteristics of waste, boiler performance tests, and exhaust gas emission evaluation. The results show that palm oil waste has a high calorific value (15–20 MJ/kg), which makes it an efficient alternative fuel. In addition, the use of this waste is able to reduce dependence on fossil fuels while minimizing carbon emissions, thereby supporting the greenhouse gas emission reduction target. From an operational perspective, the use of palm oil waste in industrial boilers can increase combustion efficiency by up to 75–85%, depending on fuel conditions and boiler design. This makes palm oil waste not only economically valuable, but also strategic in supporting the transition to clean energy. Another advantage is that waste management becomes more targeted, because solid waste that is usually only an environmental burden can be reused as an energy source. However, some of the challenges that need to be considered include relatively high ash levels, the potential for corrosion in boiler equipment, and the need for emission control technology to comply with environmental standards. With the right mitigation strategy, palm oil waste can be processed into sustainable and environmentally friendly energy.

Employee performance appraisal is an important process in human resource management that aims to evaluate individual work achievements based on certain criteria set by the organization. This process not only serves to assess the extent to which an employee meets work standards, but also serves as a basis for strategic decision-making, such as job promotions, bonus awards, and career development planning. However, in practice, CV. Surya Perkasa Makassar faces serious obstacles in the form of subjectivity in the assessment process, because the benchmarks used still tend to be based on the likes or dislikes of superiors. This causes the evaluation results to be less objective, inconsistent, and potentially reduce employee work motivation. To overcome these problems, this study aims to develop a decision support system for employee performance appraisal using the Tsukamoto Fuzzy Logic method. This method was chosen because it is able to accommodate uncertainty in the assessment, resulting in more objective, measurable, and consistent decisions. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a Black Box Testing method to ensure system functionality. The assessment criteria used include five main aspects, namely work quality, work quantity, discipline, responsibility, and cooperation. Data from these criteria is processed through fuzzification, inference, and defuzzification stages to obtain the final employee performance score. Test results indicate that all system features function as expected. The system is able to prevent data duplication, validate input, and produce accurate final performance scores. The implementation of the Tsukamoto Fuzzy Logic method has proven effective in reducing the level of subjectivity that typically occurs in manual assessments. Therefore, this system can be used as a reliable tool in managerial decision-making, both regarding promotions, bonus awards, and planning employee future career development.

Nurses’ performance plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of healthcare services provided to patients. However, in Indonesia, nurses’ performance remains relatively low, which is partly attributed to inadequate levels of work motivation. Work motivation itself is shaped by several factors, one of the most influential being self-efficacy, defined as an individual’s confidence in their ability to perform tasks effectively. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and work motivation among inpatient nurses at Banjarmasin Islamic Hospital. A quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach was used. The study population included all 75 inpatient nurses, with 63 participants selected through quota sampling. Data collection employed two instruments: a self-efficacy questionnaire adapted from Basari’s research and a work motivation questionnaire developed by Mubarok. The collected data were analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation test with a 0.05 significance level. Findings revealed that most nurses (76.2%) had moderate levels of self-efficacy, while the majority also reported moderate levels of work motivation (55.6%). Statistical testing indicated a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.510 and a significance value (p = 0.001), demonstrating a moderate, positive, and statistically significant relationship between self-efficacy and work motivation. These results suggest that the stronger a nurse’s belief in their competence, the greater their motivation to perform work-related tasks. The study concludes that self-efficacy is a critical determinant of work motivation among inpatient nurses, highlighting the need for hospital management to implement strategies that strengthen nurses’ confidence and abilities. Interventions such as training, mentoring, and continuous professional development are recommended to enhance self-efficacy, which in turn can improve work motivation and overall performance, thereby contributing to higher-quality healthcare delivery.

Stunting is a growth failure condition in toddlers caused by chronic malnutrition, particularly during the critical first 1,000 days of life. This condition is influenced by various factors, including maternal education and feeding practices. This study aims to analyze the relationship between maternal education level and feeding patterns with the incidence of stunting among toddlers in the working area of the Pekauman Community Health Center, Banjarmasin City. The research employed a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of mothers with toddlers, with 66 respondents selected through accidental sampling. Data collection was carried out using structured questionnaires and documentation studies related to children’s nutritional status. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate methods, with the Spearman Rho test applied at a 0.05 significance level. The findings revealed a significant relationship between maternal education level and stunting incidence (p = 0.009), suggesting that lower levels of maternal education were associated with higher stunting rates. Conversely, feeding patterns did not show a statistically significant relationship with stunting (p = 0.081), although descriptive data indicated that inappropriate feeding practices were common among respondents. The majority of mothers in this study had basic education (elementary to junior high school), and a considerable number of toddlers were found to be stunted. Based on these results, it can be concluded that maternal education level plays an essential role in influencing stunting, while feeding patterns require further investigation with larger samples. The study recommends strengthening nutrition education and counseling programs for mothers, particularly those with low educational backgrounds, alongside regular monitoring of child growth and development by health professionals. Additionally, government efforts to expand access to health and nutrition information through easily accessible media are expected to contribute to stunting prevention and reduction strategies.
