Surabaya as the second-largest city in Indonesia, faces serious challenges in waste management with daily waste generation reaching 1,800.05 tons in 2023, exceeding the capacity of Benowo landfill of 1,400 tons per day. Responding to this excess of 300 tons of daily waste, the Environmental Agency (DLH) of Surabaya City initiated the Zero Waste Village program. This program aims to increase public awareness about environmental cleanliness and waste management, implemented through collaboration between DLH and students from UPN Veteran East Java. The methods used include waste banks, composters, takakura, and processing into ecoenzymes. The program stages include sampling determination, initial waste weighing, intensive socialization, and final weighing. The results are encouraging, with a significant reduction in waste generation to an average of 0.19 kg per day per person after socialization. This success demonstrates the program's effectiveness in changing community behavior and reducing waste volume, providing hope for more sustainable waste management in Surabaya and reducing the excessive burden on the Benowo landfill.

The application of the VARK (Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, Kinesthetic) model in classroom management is a strategy that can offer a more inclusive and effective approach to increasing student achievement. This research aims to explore how the use of the VARK model can improve students' learning experiences and academic performance. The research method used is a literature study, involving analysis of various relevant sources regarding the VARK concept and its application in education. The research results show that by understanding various learning preferences, educators can design learning experiences that better suit students' individual needs. Through the application of various learning strategies, such as the use of pictures and diagrams for visual students, group discussions for auditory students, reading and writing assignments for students who prefer to learn through text, as well as practical activities or experiments for kinesthetic students, students can be more involved in learning and gain a deeper understanding. This research also emphasizes the importance of flexibility in teaching, adapting to changes in student learning preferences, and evaluating the effectiveness of the learning strategies used. Although the VARK model has the advantage of providing guidance for inclusive teaching, it is important to remember that students' learning preferences may change and that various factors also influence their academic performance.

The registration system at BLK Surakarta appears to be experiencing data redundancy which needs to be addressed through in-depth analysis. The student registration process is integrated into the system, but there are still deficiencies in data management which results in frequent data duplication or errors. This research uses Cobit 4.1 as a framework for auditing the registration system at BLK Surakarta, with a focus on the Delivery and Support subdomain (DS 10 and DS11). The main objective is to assess the maturity level of the IT processes implemented at BLK Surakarta and provide recommendations for improvement. The research results show the need for BLK Surakarta to carry out regular system performance evaluations, involving parties responsible for identifying and overcoming problems that arise, in order to ensure optimal system conditions. Evaluation in Domain 10 Delivery & Support shows a current maturity level of 3.27, while in Domain 11 Delivery & Support, the maturity level is 3.31. The use of Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) can be an effective tool in achieving quality education. The purpose of this study is to understand how the implementation of Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) can improve the quality of education. This research adopts a literature review method. In the implementation of Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) in various schools, including MI Muhammadiyah Paremono, SMKN 1 Cijulang, SMP Hasim As'ari Tegalombo, and MAN 2 Ponorogo, it is evident that the use of information technology contributes positively to improving the quality of education. Various applications such as SIMPATIKA, e-learning, fingerprint, and web applications have assisted in managing information, enhancing the learning process, measuring learning outcomes, and facilitating the enrollment of new students. However, the implementation process does not always proceed smoothly due to various supporting and inhibiting factors. Supporting factors, such as cooperation between parties and efforts to overcome obstacles, facilitate the smooth implementation of EMIS. On the other hand, technical challenges, human resource difficulties, and student challenges in following learning through applications are obstacles that need to be addressed.
