The rapid rise of Indonesia’s digital economy is changing how people participate as citizens and how their consumer rights are protected. This study explores the legal dimensions of digital citizenship through a normative juridical review of the Consumer Protection Law, the Electronic Information and Transactions Law, and the Personal Data Protection Law. Although these laws provide basic safeguards, significant problems remain such as data privacy violations, unclear algorithmic practices, cross-border legal barriers, and deceptive online advertising. Low public legal awareness and the absence of a unified dispute-resolution system further leave consumers vulnerable to powerful global digital platforms. The study argues that stronger protection requires embedding digital citizenship principles into Indonesia’s legal framework, harmonizing national rules with international standards, enhancing platform oversight, and improving digital literacy. In conclusion, a flexible and forward-looking legal approach is crucial to making consumer protection a core part of digital citizenship and ensuring public trust and human rights in the digital era.

The rapid digital transformation occurring in the field of education, particularly through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), has created new opportunities for improving learning efficiency, personalizing instruction, and supporting educators’ workloads. However, these advancements also bring forth significant philosophical challenges, especially the potential for dehumanization within the educational process. This article examines how technology influences the fundamental human dimensions of learning and how the concept of humanization can serve as an ethical framework for designing and implementing educational technologies. AI-based digital learning environments often position learners as data objects, reducing the dialogical, empathetic, and relational aspects that are fundamental to humanistic education. Drawing on philosophical perspectives from existentialism and humanism, this study evaluates the potential threats to student autonomy, critical thinking, and character formation. Furthermore, it explores how the human–technology relationship can be ethically framed through the theory of technological mediation and Paulo Freire’s notion of liberatory education. The analysis indicates that technology can be humanized by emphasizing meaningful interaction, ensuring algorithmic transparency, and strengthening the role of teachers as mediators of values and empathy. Ultimately, the article argues that the benefits of AI in education can only be fully realized when technological development and implementation are guided by an ethical orientation that places human beings at the center. This study contributes to ongoing discussions on the role of technology in education and provides a critical perspective aimed at minimizing the risk of dehumanization in an era increasingly shaped by AI-driven digital learning.

This study aims to analyze the definition and concept map of Islamic Education (IPI) within the philosophical framework of Prof. Dr. Hasan Langgulung. IPI is strategically positioned as a discipline that bridges theoretical studies and educational practices in responding to contemporary challenges, while also serving as a foundation for character formation. The method used is library research with a qualitative approach, analyzing primary and secondary documents to synthesize a complete IPI concept map. The results of the study show that Langgulung defines IPI comprehensively as a normative field of science, exploring the process of multi-dimensional human growth (physical, soul, mind, spirit), and utilizing integrative sources of knowledge (revelation, reason, experience). This approach is based on three solid philosophical pillars: Ontology (human nature and fitrah), Epistemology (integration of revelation, reason, and experience), and Axiology (utility values to form a perfect human being). Langgulung's thinking elevates the discussion of IPI from the operational level (Tarbiyah, Ta'lim, Ta'dib) to the philosophical level, providing a solid foundation for IPI as a complete discipline. The ultimate goal is to produce a perfect human being capable of fulfilling the balanced roles of 'Abdullah (servant of God) and Khalifatullah fil Ardh (leader on earth), by optimizing the full potential of human nature. This educational model is considered relevant in contemporary discourse to integrate religious and general knowledge and address the moral crisis.

The rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence, particularly ChatGPT, has significantly influenced educational practices, including the teaching and learning of Islamic education. ChatGPT offers considerable opportunities by providing diverse instructional materials, expediting the preparation of teaching documents, and supporting personalized learning based on students’ abilities and learning preferences. Additionally, it functions as a supplementary learning resource capable of facilitating religious discussions, explaining abstract concepts, and fostering critical thinking skills through fast and adaptive feedback. Nevertheless, the use of ChatGPT in Islamic education also presents noteworthy challenges. The risks of misinformation and hallucination may affect students’ understanding, especially in religious matters that require high accuracy and reliable references. Other challenges include academic integrity concerns, excessive reliance on technology, content bias, and the model’s limited ability to interpret Islamic socio-religious contexts in Indonesia. Furthermore, disparities in digital literacy among teachers and students hinder optimal implementation. This article aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of these impacts and challenges by examining recent literature and empirical studies. The findings indicate that ChatGPT can offer substantial benefits for Islamic education learning when integrated critically and responsibly, supported by enhanced teacher competencies, clear institutional AI policies, and strong emphasis on ethics and source verification. Thus, ChatGPT holds the potential to serve as a strategic innovation for improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education in the digital era.

Moral learning in junior high schools often faces challenges in improving the understanding and application of moral values in everyday life, especially in the material of Trustworthiness and Honesty. This paper is intended to explain the design of the Problem-based learning (PBL) learning method as an innovation in moral learning of the material of Trustworthiness and Honesty in class VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Panarukan, which is expected to improve students' understanding through a more contextual, active, and applicable learning experience. The PBL method allows students to analyze real problems related to Trustworthiness and Honesty, develop solutions, and reflect on the application of these values in everyday life. This learning design method adopts two stages of the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model, namely the needs analysis stage and the learning design stage. The results of the study indicate that the need for moral learning in class VIII of junior high school includes the importance of more interactive and problem-based methods, which can bridge the gap between moral theory and its application in real life. This PBL learning design integrates case studies, group discussions, and reflection to create meaningful learning experiences related to the values of Trustworthiness and Honesty. Although this design has considered various pedagogical and contextual aspects, the method is still in the design stage and has not been directly implemented or evaluated. Therefore, further research is needed to test the effectiveness of the PBL method in the context of moral learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Panarukan.

The era of automation has brought profound changes to the educational landscape through the integration of intelligent technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital systems that increasingly shape learning processes. This transformation not only affects the interaction patterns between educators and learners but also shifts foundational educational values and introduces significant ethical challenges. In the context of Islamic education, these changes require a reformulation of relevant educational values to preserve learners’ moral and spiritual integrity. This study aims to analyze Islamic educational values in the age of automation and examine their ethical implications for strengthening character education. Through a comprehensive literature-based approach, the study finds that values such as amanah (trustworthiness), adl (justice), ihsan (excellence), mas’uliyyah (accountability), and mujahadah (perseverance) serve as essential instruments in building learners’ character so they can use technology wisely and responsibly. Furthermore, the study emphasizes that automation demands the integration of digital literacy and Islamic moral literacy to prevent dehumanization, digital plagiarism, technology dependence, and the decline of spiritual awareness. The findings indicate that character education grounded in Islamic values provides a strong ethical framework for addressing emerging moral risks in the digital era. Therefore, curriculum reconstruction, strengthening the role of educators as “digital murrabbi,” and the proportional use of technology aligned with maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah are required. This research contributes by offering a comprehensive Islamic ethical perspective as a foundational framework for the development of character education amid the rapid and inevitable acceleration of automation.

This article aims to explain the correct practice of devotion to Mary in the light of Christ-centered faith, which is a faith centered on Jesus Christ as the one and only mediator and savior. The main issue discussed is the tendency of some Catholics to give excessive devotion to Mary, which risks diverting focus from Christ. This study employs a theological and doctrinal approach by tracing the Church's teachings on honoring Mary, particularly through the distinction between latria, dulia, and hyperdulia. The study's findings indicate that proper devotion to Mary is rooted in a relationship with the Holy Trinity and guides the faithful to increasingly know, love, and emulate Christ. Conversely, disproportionate forms of devotion may lead to misunderstandings or deviations in faith practices. The implications of this research emphasize the Church's role in providing adequate catechesis, so that devotion to Mary remains balanced, leading the faithful to Christ through Mary and in Mary, while deepening the understanding of Trinitarian theology in the daily lives of Christians.

This article thoroughly examines Imam Al-Ghazali's views on Islamic education and adab, with an emphasis on a holistic framework that combines knowledge, faith, charity, and morals to form an insān kāmil (perfect human being).  Al-Ghazali, a scholar from Tus, Persia, in the 11th century, defined education as a process of moral development and purification of the soul. The main goal of education is to obtain worldly and spiritual happiness. He opposes the educational paradigm of modern philosophers which focuses only on rationality. He emphasized that knowledge without adab is like fire which has no light.Adab is the main pillar of the educational process and helps children learn noble qualities such as patience, humility and honesty. This is implemented from an early age through spiritual practices such as dhikr and muhasabah.  In his great works, such as Iḥyā' 'Ulūm ad-Dīn, Ayyuhal Walad, and Tahāfut al-Falāsifah, Al-Ghazali combines rationalism with Sufism. He opposed the dichotomy between worldly knowledge (such as medicine and mathematics) and the hereafter, claiming that revelation provides a balance to prevent misguidance. His educational methods, based on internalizing values, examples, and ethical discussions, support the role of teachers as moral and spiritual role models and students as ethical learners. This thinking is highly relevant to modern education, especially in Indonesia, where a character-based curriculum is implemented by the Ministry of Education and Culture and institutions such as the State Islamic University (UIN) use a holistic approach to address the moral crisis caused by technological advancements. The main challenge lies with educators who lack an understanding of Sufism, which requires intensive training.

This study aims to design and analyze a more effective Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning model by integrating humanistic principles with Islamic spirituality. This integration is important because traditional IRE learning has largely focused on cognitive mastery, while affective and spiritual dimensions have not been developed optimally. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, this research reviews books, academic journals, and previous studies relevant to humanistic and spiritual-based learning. Content analysis is then employed to identify thematic patterns that explain how both approaches can strengthen one another within the IRE learning process. The findings reveal that integrating humanistic and spiritual elements results in deeper, more reflective, and transformative learning experiences. The humanistic approach allows students to develop self-awareness, value personal experiences, and fulfill emotional needs, whereas Islamic spirituality reinforces the values of tawhid, moral character, and divine consciousness. Teachers play a crucial role as facilitators who guide students through learning experiences that combine humanistic empathy and Islamic values. Authentic assessment methods such as reflection journals, moral portfolios, and behavioral observations are used to evaluate student development. Overall, this study concludes that an IRE learning design grounded in both humanistic and spiritual approaches can foster intellectually capable, emotionally mature, and spiritually grounded learners who are well-prepared to face the challenges of the digital era.

This community service program aims to describe the implementation and impact of “Persekutuan Hamba Tuhan,” a diaconal initiative conducted by GBI Jemaat Kasih Surabaya to support 80 pastors serving in small congregations around the M3 area of Surabaya. The background of the program stems from ongoing socioeconomic challenges affecting church ministers in the post-pandemic period, particularly those serving in churches with limited resources and unstable financial support. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation of the program activities, documentation of the distribution process, and testimonies from both recipients and church members. The results show three major outcomes. First, the distribution of food packages and basic daily necessities significantly reduced the economic burden of the participating pastors, providing a sense of relief and stability for their households. Second, the program strengthened congregational solidarity, as more than fifty church members actively engaged in fundraising, packaging, and direct service, building a stronger culture of compassion and shared responsibility. Third, the fellowship activities—consisting of worship, preaching, prayer, and personal encouragement—provided emotional and spiritual strengthening that renewed the pastors’ motivation and confidence in their ministry. Overall, this program demonstrates that integrated diaconal service combining material aid, spiritual encouragement, and relational support can offer meaningful impact for vulnerable church ministers. The findings also highlight the potential of this model to be replicated in other church settings as a holistic, community-based ministry approach. It is recommended that future programs expand coverage, incorporate long-term follow-up, and explore empowerment components to enhance sustainable impact.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by elevated blood glucose levels. This condition includes several types, such as type 1 and type 2 diabetes. It occurs when the body is unable to produce enough insulin, experiences impaired insulin function, or faces a combination of both. As a result, glucose cannot be effectively absorbed by the body’s cells and accumulates in the bloodstream, leading to high blood sugar or hyperglycemia. If this condition persists, the buildup of glucose can cause various disorders in different organs. Without proper management, diabetes may lead to severe and life-threatening complications. Chronic hyperglycemia in diabetic patients is associated with long-term damage, dysfunction, and even failure of vital organs such as the eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart, and blood vessels. In this activity, percentage-based methods and demonstrations of blood glucose testing were used as educational tools for students. The results showed that students’ awareness of the dangers of elevated blood sugar levels remains low. Many of them are still unfamiliar with the importance of regular blood glucose monitoring and maintaining a healthy lifestyle to prevent diabetes. Therefore, continuous efforts are needed to provide education and outreach on the prevention and early management of diabetes mellitus.

The spiritual crisis among students in the digital age is increasingly evident through a decline in interest in worship, low moral awareness, and an increase in individualistic lifestyles that affect the formation of faith and moral competence. This condition requires the development of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning that is not only oriented towards cognitive understanding, but also fosters a deep spiritual awareness among students. This study aims to analyze the role of reflective-based PAI learning as a solution in strengthening students' faith and moral competence amid digital challenges. The method used is library research by examining books, curriculum policies, and relevant national and international journal articles over the last ten years. The results of the study show that the reflective approach, through activities such as muhasabah, personal journals, value dialogues, and tadabbur experiences, is able to increase self-awareness, faith appreciation, and strengthen social morals more effectively than conventional learning, which is one-way and teacher-centered. In addition, the integration of reflective values has been proven to support the achievement of basic PAI competencies as mandated in KMA No. 183/2019, especially in the spiritual and affective domains. These findings imply that PAI learning in the digital age needs to adopt a more participatory, contemplative, and experience-based design in order to foster character building.
