According to the Jambeck Research Group report in 2015, Indonesia ranks second after China in the contribution of plastic waste to the ocean, with an estimated 3.2 million tons of plastic waste per year, and around 640,000-1.29 million tons end up at sea. By 2024, plastic waste in Indonesia is projected to reach around 13.98% of the total national waste generation, with an estimated volume of around 9.9 million tons. Sexual harassment is a behavior with sexual connotations that is done without the consent of the intended person, including various forms such as physical, verbal, and non-verbal. In Indonesia, verbal sexual harassment such as catcalling is common but less recognized by society. Catcalling, which is often directed at women, is often considered trivial and not seen as a form of criminal offense. In fact, this act can have a serious psychological and emotional impact on the victim. Although there is still a lack of understanding about the Sexual Violence Law, it is hoped that this law can provide legal protection for victims. The Criminal Code (KUHP) also regulates crimes of decency, but non-physical sexual harassment has not been specifically regulated, making law enforcement difficult. The problem of lack of legal awareness and the lack of regulations related to verbal sexual harassment are the main obstacles in providing protection to victims. From the above problems, the formulation of the problem to be sought is how the implementation of the law against the perpetrators of catcalling and whether the criminal law in Indonesia has been good enough in dealing with the criminal act of catcalling as a form of sexual harassment. This research was conducted using qualitative methods and inductive research, and research using deductive methods, and using an empirical juridical approach.

Industrial policy in Indonesia faces significant challenges in an era of increasingly complex globalization. Globalization brings great opportunities for domestic companies to compete globally, but also poses risks such as economic inequality and unemployment. To address these challenges, the government needs to develop a smart industrial policy that not only encourages sectoral growth but also stimulates cross-sectoral innovation. Selecting imported goods, imposing high import fees on commodities that can already be produced domestically, and providing capital injections to companies with comparative advantages are effective ways to protect local industries from the negative impacts of globalization. Digitalization must also go hand in hand with the implementation of this strategy so that sectors can use digital technology to increase productivity and create new economic opportunities, especially for micro, small, and start-up businesses. Furthermore, Indonesia's economic strength in navigating the problems of globalization may lie in its integration with the creative economy. Indonesia's industrial economy requires creative and innovative human resources so that the creative sector can develop and compete on a global scale.

The DI/TII social movement, which began on August 7, 1949, emerged as a result of socio-political tensions, particularly resistance to the Reorganization and Rationalization (Rera) policy. This movement aimed to establish an Islamic state in Indonesia and arose as a reaction to government policies perceived as inconsistent with Islamic principles. Discontent among former TNI soldiers and local militias due to the Rera policy fueled the movement, with many of these disillusioned individuals joining DI/TII. On February 10–11, 1948, Sekarmadji Maridjan Kartosuwiryo and Raden Oni organized a conference of Islamic leaders, during which the idea of forming the Islamic State of Indonesia (Negara Islam Indonesia, NII) was introduced. Kartosuwiryo declared himself the Grand Imam of the Islamic State of Indonesia. The widespread and massive expansion of this movement increasingly disrupted society, as it involved acts of extortion and armed resistance, creating unrest and opposition among the population. In response, the Indonesian government adopted a responsive legal approach, reflected in measures such as the enactment of the Emergency Law of 1949 and the re-adoption of the 1945 Constitution, which included restrictions in Article 28J(2). Various efforts were undertaken to address the situation, including the deployment of military operations to suppress the rebellion and restore stability.

Desa Burno in Lumajang has experienced a significant surge in cardamom cultivation in line with evolving agricultural trends. While initially boosting farmers' incomes, this production explosion has led to a drastic decline in cardamom prices in the market. This phenomenon is exacerbated by the dominance of middlemen who control pricing and marketing, making it difficult for farmers to obtain fair prices. This article explores the dynamics of the cardamom market in Desa Burno, including the impact of mass planting trends on prices and the limitations faced by farmers due to middlemen influence. Through qualitative analysis, market data, and structured interviews, this research uncovers the challenges faced by cardamom farmers and provides recommendations for fairer marketing strategies. Additionally, the FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) behavior among farmers has contributed to the increased cultivation of cardamom, further worsening the market situation. This study aims to provide deeper insights into the relationship between cardamom agriculture, middlemen dominance, and FOMO behavior, while offering solutions to enhance the welfare of farmers in Desa Burno.

This article presents a systematic review of pragmatic competence in second language acquisition (SLA), emphasizing its critical role in effective communication and intercultural understanding. Pragmatic competence encompasses the ability to understand and use language appropriately in diverse social and cultural contexts, including mastering speech acts, politeness strategies, conversational implicatures, and intercultural pragmatics. Despite its importance, pragmatic competence often receives less attention in language instruction compared to grammar and vocabulary. The review highlights the effectiveness of explicit and implicit teaching methods, authentic interaction, and cultural immersion in developing pragmatic skills. It also underscores the role of technology, such as digital platforms and simulations, in enhancing learners’ ability to navigate real-life communication scenarios. The findings reveal significant challenges, including cultural variability in pragmatic norms, difficulties in standardizing assessments, and the influence of learners’ individual differences. The study calls for innovative teaching and evaluation methods, focusing on personalized approaches and the integration of pragmatic learning with emotional intelligence. By synthesizing current research and practices, this article provides valuable insights for educators, curriculum developers, and researchers, advocating for adaptive, culturally informed, and technology-supported strategies to enhance pragmatic competence in SLA.

Love is a central theme in the Christian faith, as stated in 1 John 4:7-12. This letter confirms that love comes from God, and love is the essence of God's existence and character. This article examines in depth the concept of divine love (agape) in 1 John, which is demonstrated through the sending of Jesus Christ as an atoning sacrifice for human sins. Using a hermeneutic approach and textual analysis, this article explores how God's love enables believers to reflect the character of Christ in everyday life. Through true love, believers are called to live in harmony with others as proof of their knowledge of God. Love in this context is not only a moral act, but a spiritual transformation that signifies spiritual maturity and a life in line with God's will.
